Spinosaurus. ;)
I hope they put an acrocanthosaurus in the Jurassic World, that would be awesome. :)
@Phantom Raptor
Sorry for the missuse of the word "theory", just the first thing that popped in my head and sounded good. Should've used another word.
As for the timeline, I missread Carnosaur's post. I took it as, he was saying that they didn't live in the same place. Since I know almost nothing about ouranosaurs, and for some reason thought they lived together, I thought that was what I was wrong about.
So yes, it was a contradiction, but one for a good reason, a simple missunderstanding.
No, it was not a spino vs rex thread at all, just a disscussion on my thoughts on spino. Though I did put one thing rex vs spino in there, but edited it out.
And sorry, I don't believe in evolution, to much stuff going against it. I know, you may say something about God being fake, but there is nothing that can't prove His existance.
I believe that all creatures lived together at one time. Yes, some animals go extinct.
There is evidence that dinosaurs lived with humans. There are drawings, statues, art, and ancient documents that describe animals just like dinosaurs.
Also, as for the "ass" thing, you basically called me one. Don't do that again, or I'll have a talk with Chris.
Okay, just stop. stop. STOP IT.
so far
I think the troodon are the deadliest predator in jurassic park
sure they're not as big and as strong as the rex
but their small size allows them to run through small holes to ambush their prey, intelligent and pack hunting habit like a raptor, and to make it even worse, they are venomous is the reason why the troodon are the perfect killing machine in JP
In my mind it would be a tie between Rexy, Spino, Raptor, and Troodon. Although I would have to lean towards Spino, but the rest are still high ranking.
Spinosaurus
I do agree with you on the basis of T.rex being the most powerful, or one of the most powerful, JP predators. And I only say that because JP3's Spinosaurus was also depicted to be immensely powerful and basically indestructible.
My only argument is that the Velociraptor species were shown to be the most intelligent dinosaurs on both islands. They worked together in cohesive units, communicated at a level previously un-thought of among dinosaurs, and had the ability to run faster and jump higher than any other creature in the films. Then again, an adult T.rex and Spinosaurus probably couldn't jump anyway due to their weight. And those two previous genera did not work as well together among their own kind as well as the raptors, and their communication was not as complex as the raptors.
In that regard, JP Velociraptors were the most deadly predators.
A contrary argument would be that while the raptors were most dangerous in packs, one individual was not as great a threat while one T.rex alone could cause more damage and chaos.
I am truly torn about this issue, but I wouldn't want to meet anyone of them face to face.
Tyrannosaurus rex takes this 65-70% of the time for me. That thing was probably the most advanced predator ever. It had the greatest bite force of all time, one of the best senses of smell, binocular vision, and was intelligent to boot. Also, exactly a year since this was posted! Happy anniversary!
This is shaping up to be a great read.
I like how you used Greco-Roman names for many of the characters. My favourite is Brutus. Sounds like Synca's father is a powerful Nanotyrannus, a king among mini-kings who also cares as deeply about his family as Shethorne.
As well, I love the idea that many tyrannosaurs (and other dinosaurs) in these stories and battle narratives are depicted as living in nuclear families. I can't pinpoint why, but it is a very appealing dynamic.
I am waiting anxiously for Chapter 3 as I write Chapter 10 of The Tyrant's Roar.
This is a piece with some top notch writing. I can tell that not only do you have real talent, but you also took a good amount of time editing this piece.
I do hope you continue with this story.
I am with the idea of the 2 species being one.
I drive off the clif, activate my magic jeep, and fly off into the sunset.
I got the True King- Tyrannosaurus rex. Even by JP logic, T-rex is the most powerful predator of the franchise. Spino barely won against a juvenile Rex, and he kind of won in a BS way. Just my opinion, that even though it'd be a good fight, T-rex would come out on top. :)
Spinousaurus baby, is that even a thing?
OMG I am in love with the Mossberg 500. That is my dream gun.
Wow, I have changed so much from my old topics...
Man..... I took this And i got.......
SPINOSAURUS.....BABY !!!!!!!!
Oh, right. Forgot about those. I've already seen Planet Dinosaur anyways.
It's kind of fun looking at my old posts.
Very interesting. However, those are mammals. Reptiles and birds, dinosaurs closest relatives look very similar to their skeletons. Looks good though!
The 4 videos in the bottom of this discussion, the topis says "4 educational videos"
...
Videos, what videos?
He is very funny
Aw man, my OLD posts...
Okay, good to see you on the forum. I like the mIcorraptor though. But the video lied, gliding isn't a form of flying, really.
But did you see my Rex vs SPino. EVERYBODY loved the outcome...
I'm back. For a short time. I managed to get the computer at the hotel I'm staying at. Looking forward to it all, and yes Ive seen the videos.
Did anyone even actually watch the videos?
Rex Fan, a topic on these forums that doesn't go off topic is like a 4 wheel drive that's never been off road. Unless you're a complete wuss, it doesn't happen.
Nice work. If you do continue, looking forward to what comes next.
Sci-Fi does have a point. This post was about which dinosaur from Jurassic Park you were most like, not the dinosaurs themselves.
Partners until the chicks were old enough to tag along in hunts, that's what I think.
