Well, I guess I have some nice dinosaurs on my side.

@Shinji78 said "Who can explain me how a mosquito drinks the blood of an underwater reptile like the Mosasaurus?"

Who can explain to me how it makes any difference? The mosquito-amber-dna concept isn't realistic anyway, so why does it matter?

You can get just as much DNA from fossilized remains by grinding the bones into a fine powder and extracting from that. Perhaps that is their story.

Hmmmmm.

Well in 1992 they discovered the most complete Stegosaurus skeleton ever found.  So, I guess I've got that.

GatesPlaceDinosaurs ForumWHAT?!!!

They're really basing it off the idea that birds are mainly herbivorous, so eventually, dinosaurs needed to be too. They don't have any science to prove it. It's all based on presuppositions and imagined scenarios.

There are animals like the Chinese water deer (the "saber-toothed deer) that are weaponized and only eat plants. Actually, great white sharks have serrated teeth, and they have been proven to take kelp (an EXTREMELY tough plant) over tuna, when given the opportunity.

So, while serrated teeth can very well be used for tough plants, it's pretty obvious that therapod dinosaurs were mainly carnivorous -- from carnivore shed teeth found in other dinosaurs to the velociraptor-protoceratops fossil. I wouldn't worry about it. It'll probably (and hopefully) blow over.

Here's some food for thought:

Scroll down to number 1: Triceratops. This says it may have been partially carnivorous (which makes sense). Now THIS could change JP movies...

UCMP, a population of super predators such as Rex or TyrannoT would have 100% chance of surviving; The only thing that'll challenge them is a larger predator or a desperate predator, and when you're the size of Tyrannosaurus Rex, you don't need to worry about larger predators.

Interesting. It could however, survive through its superior agility to scavenge and take small prey items that aren't worth large predator's time, such as gallimimus.

These school computers are more annoying than the Rex vs Spino debates, can't do paragra[hs, so I'll use whatever the f*ck these things (-----) are called.------All right guys, you can go home, paleontology is over, all of life's mysteries have been solved, there's nothing to live for anymore..... And Velociraptor was bigger than Spinosaurus.------There's too much evidence to prove that false. That's like saying Spinosaurus ate mostly other predators that it killed; it didn't. I wouldn't worry, but thanks for giving me a good laugh and an excuse to be kinda sarcastic.

With all the leaks put together I'm starting to think this movie will show dinosaurs as good or bad monsters rather than animals.

REX FAN 684 - Hmm. I was born in 1988, so my dinosaur is the Maiasaura ("Good Mother Lizard")! That's somewhat fitting, since I'm a woman!

The UT, I actually didn't find Suchomimus for 1999. I'll have a look around and see what year it was found because now I'm curious.

Had to. I know what you mean with some of the "older" members possibly remembering. Funny, on theses forums, I'm one of the guys who's been around the longest, but if I'm not mistaken, at one point, I was one of the youngest. For regulars these days though, you're older than me, UT is older than me, and.......... not sure who else, FACT DUDE I guess.

Fuck it throw in Gremlins and Theodore Rex this movie is beginning to sound D.O.A! Based on the rumours this will either be schlock or the best movie ever made! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX68J0oxQAE&feature=youtu.be

I believe that having a Triceratops, one of my favorite dinosaurs, is a good idea. However, I also hope that the director of the film also adds my other favorite dinosaur, Spinosaurus, sonce he's an important member of the dinosaur kingdom. Have the exhibit called "Spinosaurus Bastion" and it will at least make me happy. Diplodicus and Brachiosaurus are also important and I suggest making their own exhibit called "Sauropod Watch". As for Carnotaurus, Arcocanthosaurus, Dilphosaurus, Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Parasauropholous, Corythosaurus, Iguanodon, Ceratosaurus, Quetzacoatylus, Styracosaurus, and even Baryonyx, I would say they should be given minor exhibits. It would also be quite cool if Jurassic Park added the Giant Ground Sloth (Megatherium americanium) into the film, since it may be more interesting having a prehistoric mammal from the pleistocene be placed in a park full of dinosaurs.

Here's what the giant sloth looks like:

But Darth Vader was badass.

I was thinking the same thing Rodan, Rhinocerous snake if I'm not mistaken. That's the type of horns I picture D-Rex having if it does at all.

Damn, a shotgun like that I'd actually have to shoulder.

I don't think you can a five rounder for the DSR, I mean, it's a .50 BMG sniper rifle. You're shooting at targets a mile away, it's not like they're shooting back.

Armour piercing rounds wouldn't do sh!t against Ankylosaurus. A .50 BMG produces about 2000 foot pounds of energy (FPE). T-Rex has a bite of almost 18000 PSI. Ankylosaurus's armour is pretty much T-Rex proof. FPE is the force per square foot, while PSI is force per square inch. A 20mm Vulcan wouldn't do anything against Ankylosaurus either.

*20mm Vulcan produces three times as much force as the .50 BMG

Jezza Jurassic Park ForumJP Weapons

Can you get a 10 round mag for those rifles? I'd get a few armor peircing bullets for ankylosaurs.

I thought about putting a 4 gauge shotgun on my list, but decided not get my shoulder turned to dust.
