LIES! LIES I TELL YOU! THEY"RE ALL BLASPHUMAS (i prbably didn't spell that right, but wtf) LIES!

I don't believe these theropods were vegetarians, maybe ate some plants. Think about it, dogs and bears eat plants every once in a while. But they're not vegetarians.

Back then, yeah, douchebags would bring Rex or Spino into a debate because f*ck you all, that's why. We could be talking about, I dunno, Parasaurolophus, and someone would say Rex is bigger than Spino, or vice versa. It seems to have died down again though, fortunately. This time around, the douche was Zillasaurus.

@ Dilo

It's been confirmed already... However, this is actually a rather Interesting Idea, I've a head cannon on it if you don't mind spoilers in the following Disscusion.

http://www.jurassicworld-movie.com/community/forums/topic/35168

As much as you want Story Cannon from the book in the movie, It makes it harder to cater to the audience, Remember the main Population of Film go-ers, Don't usually read the books, It's a new generation of Movie go-ers too, Thus they need to keep it fresh.

However, D-Rex does barrow some traits from the Chamelon Like Dinos in TLW, But not all... Do read the Above disscusion to learn the Very Possible Head cannon of it.

It's most likely Nocturnal, Hence the Snake DNA, (Some can see in infered). Which is what makes it dangerous. It's a fairly big Creature, Smaller then a rex, But Still fairly big. Three claws was Inherited from the raptor.

It was an Accident D-rex, Thats why it ain't on the tour.

I don't like these "Studies"

Most of them are complete Shit, Trying to create something dumb.

Now, I'm not calling out anyones religon, I respect that. However, Some time ago a Professer in Biblical History, Put foreward something like,

"T-Rex only ate Leaves until man Sinned"

Now neglecting the Sin part, Because I'm not judging religon... Looking at the T-rex, How in the name of Odins Beard, Does that make sense...

Course, Man kind isn't the brightest Species, We no litterally nothing... Zip, But we act like we do,

WRONG

YOUR AROGENCE IS YOUR FAILURE MAN KIND

We base everything off of modern species today, Neglecting that Dinosaurs, Didn't live in our Ecosystem Today. Aswell, We try and make connections, that aren't there...

So birds may have some of the same traits as Dinosaurs... That doesn't mean we can just draw a bloody line linking everything together.

-_-

I like it...

I Don't recall the Vets at JP Having anything like that, Except the hat colour was the way to Identify them...

Fun fact! Did you Know in the Movie, There is two Vetranarians? In the beggining Dr.Harding and another Vet, Dressed almost Identical are helping with moving the Raptor into its paddock.

Oh shit, not the two brain cells you had left. What ever happened to "I'm not coming back here, you're all thick headed hypocrits, blah blah blah" bullshit? If you don't like it here, you don't have to stay. You and FACT DUDE might get along.

Quote: you say it's a bloody MEGALOSAUR, then you go back to being a Spinosaurian? uh, alright. While in the Megalosauria family tree, they have their own group, based on obvious anatomical differences. Don't be a smart ass.

-Uh, spinosauridae is part of megalosauria... Spinosaurids are more derived from basal megalosaurs. You are thinking of megalosaurids, which include megalosaurus and its closest relatives. Spinosauria doesn't exist

Quote: You....obviously don't get how these things work. A picture is not PROOF. at all. the 46 foot estimate is probably the more accurate one any way. 60 or even the 80 foot fanboy estimates are just B.S. and 20 tons? yeah, no biped can weigh that much if it is to remain on two legs. "it seems bulky based on reconstructions" well i have bad news for you mate, they're probably wrong.

-Where did I ever say 20 tons? I admit that claiming that it appears bulky based on reconstructions is probably inaccurate, but is there any real reaso nto believe that spinosaurines were all that slender (as in, as slender as baryonychines)? A bulkier body shape would be logical considering spinosaurus' enlarged spinal column, in which case a gracile body would likely not sustain it very well. You are theorizing right there buddy, using baryonyx and its closest kin as comparisons for what we don't know of spinosaurus. But yet you still criticize me of being wrong when my theories are completely logical. Man you are one stubborn asshole...

Quote: Just FYI, my sources have actual discoveries by paleontologists, while you've posted what? one sorce that said spinosaurus jaws were WEAKER THAN A CROCODILES and pictures of skulls? you do need its body, especially when you have 5 neural spines, a few vertabrate and parts of its jaws. good proof mate, good proof indeed. My sources don't mean i'm 100% right, as no one is in paleontology. They just make me a tad bit righter then you.

-Ok, so using fossil evidence to make theories is only "accurate" if you are a paleontologist? What? Ok... There you go again, claiming that the sources that I post are always wrong and yours are right (not to mention the reconstructions, which are all drawn by skilled paleontologists...). Numbers do not lie buddy... The majority of that post just killed a few of my brain cells

I'm skeptical about the D-Rex. What is the source? Anyone could've made that up. I was thinking that the new dinosaur could be Carnotaurus or Allosaurus. The paleontologist for the JP franchise said this dinosaur has never been in the movies before and will make you "sleep with the lights on." As in the novel TLW, the carnotaurus is the wild card, and can camouflage very well before ambushing prey. I still have hopes that D-Rex is not true and that it will be Carnotaurus or allosaurus. The qurantine enclosure isn't even electrified. How could it hold  a mega  t-Rex when it's too small and unlectrified for a regular Rex? Furthermore, the scratch marks on the wall are in threes. Allosaurus had three claws, T-Rex had two (I know it's supposed to be a hybrid with a raptor so my claim is not 100% sound).

The map looks awesome. I'm guessing there will be more dinosaurs on the tours than just the ones listed on the map. The " botanical gardens" could be the name of a segment of the tour that contains herbivores in lush, primeval foliage. I also hope that the "Cretaceous cruise" will feature animals from the period. based on the concept art, the place is huge with many tracks. It seems too big to only house mosasaurs, rexs, gallis, pachys, raptors, pterosaurs, and triceratops. I'm sure there will be saurapoda, hadrosaurs, and hopefully other carnivores.

This chapter was written well before we had any news of the D-Rex, so it's an unintended reference. We see Carnotaurus again near the end, and we see D-Rex in my project that I'll be posting soon.

Thanks guys.

Guys.

I can respect your opinion that the species might do a little better than 45%.

BUT this percentage is for the entire population of the island, sure a family group might get by on scraps, but not an entire species. :]

I got three references there. The Carnotaurus(obvious), the Spinosaurus(obvious), and D-Rex since it can change color like the Carnotaurus.

I'll use the same arguement for this that I use for my T.rex being a hunter one. If they didn't keep the herbivores populations in check, then what did? 'Nuff said.

TYRANT963 - I certainly wouldn't put too much energy into your anger over this new and rather absurd line of thinking. You've only to look at nature across the whole of time for a good understanding of how animals function. During our day and age, there are many carnivores - bears, great cats, wolvs, etc. During the Ice Age and the age of the Mega Fauna, there were also a great many predators - including Smilodons, Short-Faced Bears, and Dire Wolves. It stands to reason that there would have been quite a large turn-out of carnivores during the age in which our world saw its greatest variety of life-forms. Predators serve an incredibly important role within nature, keeping the populations of other creatures in check. If most theropods were actually herbivores, then it seems strange to me that the reign of the dinosaurs didn't come to and end due to overpopulation. Additionally, why do sauropods not also have massive, balde-like teeth if that's the best way to shear through tough plant material? It seems to me that the scientists whom posited this new theory were reaching - tremendously. :)

Also yeah LikeABossk, I think it would be likely for the most bird like dinosaurs to flap their "wings" to keep balance once in a while. However, they are too small for a chicken like fly xD

Ughhh, I hate the phrase "trained raptors!"  Even if the dinos aren't playing fetch (that would be horrible), it annoys me that man is controlling nature in this way.  Continuity-wise, a creature "smarter than a primate" would not allow itself to be trained.  Pack coordination and killing should be exclusive to the raptors, not to some human trainer.

FayhJurassic World NewsJurassic World Isla Nublar Ferry Spotted!

Hey guys, just letting you know:

The ferry in that photo is a SWATH vessel. That type of ship wasn't very common back when JP was filmed - especially as a recreational ship. While that's no guarantee, it makes it more likely to be a NEW ship. The peeling paint could just be an accident that happened when the crew worked on the ship, after all...

Hmm... strange... from all that... I understood something else.

I personally understood they were talking about the last, avain theropods (that, to your information, were A LOT :P ), so yeah, if the theory is about them, I kinda support it.

I might be wrong though. The ironic comments of the poster confused me :P
