Your right @alphadino65 how ever they could be running because of an evacuation alarm or something I know it's not much, but dinos being in that scene is confirmed.

Great to get some inside info Carno!  Nonetheless, I thought that there would be dinosaurs in that scene, because what else would all those people be running away from, right?  :)

SCI-FI KING25 - The VFX doesn't look unrealistic at all, is looks very realistic. Just a little bit fake maybe. But yeah, they're gonna work on that. The VFX guys are the same ones that made for Jurassic Park and for example Avavar wich had amazing effects, I think it's gonna get a lot better. Also the effects are made for 3D and for a theater.

x_paden_xJurassic World ForumThe REAL problem with the CGI in Jurassic World

I like the statements you've made, Lets build on those, So, Please, Consider the following

The CGI Is indeed unfinished, But it should be Far enough along since we wrapped up filming back in like, July, That it should be hard to descern Real, From CG.

I for one, Also find the Extensive amount of CG Solely in the trailer alone, Rather Disturbing.

They used Green Screen for Most of the Control room shots, As compared to the Original, When it was an Actual Monitor that Projected the Island getting hit by the Storm.

The CGI Is much more Impressive then the First film. But there's so much of it, The Nostalgia is kinda lost.

We've seen only a Single Animatronic Leak so far.

We aslo have a huge gap here inbetween Release, And Filming Finishing, Most of which will be used on The CG Models, Which would Infer a Large amount of CGI In this film.

If any of you recall the CG-To-AMT (Computer generated Images to Animatronics) In JP3, You can 87% of the time, Discern the Animatronics, From the CGI...

There's even a seen, Where the Spino is Mis-shaded to it's enviroment.

That was of most recent.

We've come a far way from 2001, But what if what we see in the Trailer, Is One of the Cuts nearing the Final cut.

Why would you also Publish something for the World to see, If it wasn't finished?

Thank you, For considering the following.

I think 30ft is a bit much considering its weight and the muscle structure of its legs, which differs from dromaeosaurids.

Considering a 30ft long, 1.5t heavy Allosaurus, I believe a safe estimate would be around 15ft from the ground (at the hip) in full sprint.

^I agree. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (wow that's a lot to say) had AMAZING CGI! Hopefully JW can make theirs more realistic. Good points BTW.

Well I'm not that type of person who always says it looked fake; when I saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes I was thinking how real it looked.

The CGI looked fake in the trailer; I know the movie's not out yet and I know the CGI is unfinished but let's eb honest, we're going to be able to tell right away it's fake most likely. At least, that's how I feel. Regardless the effects are excellent but still.

DinoSteve93Jurassic World ForumThe REAL problem with the CGI in Jurassic World

Very good points! I actually stated that a while ago... now everyone knows CGI is used, so it must be fake! (and of course it is)...

When JP came out in theaters, the CGI was actually worse than what showed in the trailer... but it was so believable for people that they started thinking wheter or not they really filmed alive dinosaurs... (myself included :3).

I feel like nowdays, just because people KNOW it's fake, they have to SAY it looks fake... which is stupid.

Also considering the fact that arguing is pointless... the movie's not even out yet...

I don't think you were getting the point I was trying to make. I'm just saying why people foudn the special effects for this dissapointing compared to the first movie. And when it comes to a movie, special effects do matter. If the dinosaurs were just chickens made to look bigger onscreen, would you watch it?

I'm just saying in most cases special effects do matter in movies. I even said in the discussion I don't care if the CGI is like the way it was in the trailer; I said I'm looking to see how the movie will play out but I still wanted to clarify why it's important to ahve it look as realistic as possible.

Of course it's gonan be fake but the effects in the first movie didn't look fake at all, with the small exception of the obvious robotic movements of the Triceratops. The T-Rex looked like a real one to me- I sure wasn't thinking it was fake while watching it- I was just thinking about how they brought life to a T-Rex.

For the trailer, I was thinking that it was very well done but still effect- it already is starting to lose the classic Jurassic Park effect on it.

I know the CGI is finished, but let's face reality, the CGI in the trailer is probably going to be close to the one in the film.

CGI can be exceptionally well done, it can be overdone, it can be bad.

VERY Good CGI? Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Overdone CGI? The Hobbit

Bad CGI? Tons of movies. Transformers, Nija Turtles, etc.

Video Games are ENTIRELY different with effects- There are no actors, not real life sets- it's all computer generated. EVen then I don't like over-the-top realism in vidoe games- In my opinion Video games are to take you into a different world, not the one we live in.

That's why I like a lot of Nintendo games- they use good effects but unreal ones to take you to different worlds.

im sure it will be ten times better then the cgi in the teaser regardless... as for realism, im pretty sure you can count on it to an extent.... we already know its gonna be fake.... and i am not gonna care really at all because even though i like high quality special effects in films i watch.... i have a much higher expectation on how everything plays out and utilized aswell as the story.... Same thing with video games, the graphics dont matter as much as the gameplay mechanics and the story... You gotta give it time before you pass judgement like that really... IMO.... I respect your opinion but im just gonna disagree....

I know that, I even said it in the discussion. Even then the CGI is gonna be pretty close to the trailer and let's be honest- we're probably going to easily tell right away it's fake by looking at it.

The director already stated the cgi isn't finished... and alot of films teasers have unfinished cgi in them... He also confirmed there are gonna be anamatronics as well as an actual jurassic world gate, the cgi one in the trailer was just for the trailer itself....

Metre is how it is spelled everywhere out side of the States.

Also, Seeing how they average a 15 feet in height, 20 + feet in a jump seems completely possible under circumstances.

Reply
Raptor-401Dinosaurs ForumHow high could allosaurus jump?

Metres is another way of spelling meter. FOr example, theater could be spelled theatre. I prefer spelling the words with the "re" ending rather than "er."

I don't know honestly, I'll probably just go with what Carnosaur will probably say on this...

X_paden_X that is Brachiosaurus in the leaked footage, not Apatosaurus. Look at this:

http://coed.com/2014/11/24/jurassic-world-trailer-leaked-video/#!gallery-796196-796216-4

http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20141128030715/jurassicpark/images/7/74/Apatosaurus.png

1. First of all Brachiosaurus holds its neck up like any typical Brachiosaur and some Titanosauriforms like Sauroposeidon. No Diplodocid had its neck pointing up like Brachiosaurus. The so called "Apatosaurus" holds its neck up.

2. May I also note that the front legs of Brachiosaurus are longer than the back legs, which also create an arched back, exactly like the so called "Apatosaurus" in the picture.

3. The so called "Apatosaurus" has a short tail compared to Diplodocid Dinosaurs, Diplodocid Dinosaurs had a tail that made up almost half its body length, they may have even used them as a weapon against predators like Allosaurus

4. The so called "Apatosaurus" is orange like the Brachiosaurus in the original Jurassic Park, the other Apatosaurus is sort of blueish-greyish.

This clearly points to that being Brachiosaurus, not Apatosaurus. Which confirms that there will be Dinosaurs in the park that aren't on the species list if the raptors weren't enough (and I understand that visitors may not be able to see the raptors).

In comparison to Metres, It's rather small.

Aswell, It's at a full on sprint.

@Dunkleosteus

I wouldn't call that fight a "real" dino fight.I should me much better in my opinion if they care with it.

And T.rex had many fans, much more than any other big theropod, and the reaction to this jp3 fight show that all of them became upset and put this to the top 3 main reason why the film was bad.

This is why i said that it would be better to avoid a fight, unless it end in a draw.

Spartacus RexJurassic World ForumWill the T. Rex take on Diabolus in JW?!

My personal opinion is that we will definitely see a confrontation between the two and I suspect that this will make a relatively brief, but strong calling card for a T-Rex. So it will only appear few moments in the film, but the role it plays against D-Rex will be major, which I personally think will be about T-Rex killing the hybrid.

Now, the way I see this line developing (probably unlikely, but would definitely be a nice surprise if it does happen!) is this:

Owen and Raptors try to distract D-Rex from going to the public area where most visitors are, but after a struggle ensues, they fail losing few of the raptors in the process and Owen breaking his bike. Owen and the remaining raptors temporarily retreat and D-Rex goes off and somewhere on the way destroys the Spino skeleton (sort of hinting that its badder than the JP3 spino).

In the meantime, the female lead character of the film tries to lure "something" with the flare (that we see in the trailer) and we only know so far that it responded and followed her by making a growl and loud footsteps.

Owen manages to find the kids (who were already running from D-Rex like seen in the trailer) only to then be ambushed by D-Rex a few moments later, which reveals itself from its camouflage and it gives a chase. Soon after they cross paths with the female lead character, who was also running away but from something different. As they move aside from the scene, we come face to face with the JP1 T-Rex, who at first tries to snap at the fleeing humans (remeber - it is STILL a wild predatory animal and it has instincts!), but misses, then turns its head towards the hybrid and challenges the D-Rex on a duel by roaring and D-Rex responding with a roar and immediately charging at each other. Humans are finding it hard to completely flee the scene due to the lack of space (I mean why not?!). After a few moments of struggling back and forth, D-Rex gets the upper hand by eventually pushing the T-Rex aside and causing it to fall over. The wounded T-Rex is struggling to get up and D-Rex turns its attention to the humans again (i mean they are the prey, not the T-Rex, which is why it doesnt go off to kill the T-Rex for good - probably a mistake, but still!).

After giving another chase and leading the humans into a trap by forcing them to run near the wall/cliff, where it is a long way to fall into the water below, D-Rex prepares to feast. Before it does anything though, they hear a prolonged vocal from the wounded female T-Rex, which distracts the D-Rex from what it was doing and causes it to look around making short screeches and hisses, as if it started paniking or looking for something. Soon after Owen says something like "Oh-oh!" and one of the others asks him what happened and he replies "that was a distress call!" and the female character replies "oh boy!". During that short dialogue, we see a camera violently moving through the trees and some buildings, things breaking and snapping and heavy aniaml breathing, plus the footsteps (like a POV or FPS kinda view basically). And when the lady goes "oh boy!" and her eyes were almost bbulging out of shock/surprise from what she was seeing behind the D-Rex, the POV creature moves in quicker and quicker (charging) towards D-Rex.

When camera finally zooms in on D-Rex, we get a quick brief fading and muted sound and then see another T-Rex storming out with the camera showing its jaws wide open and charging and then locking onto the D-Rex neck (That's right guys - she was calling her mate and he responded and appeared). It drags it around violantly and breaks few other things in the process. Then it starts shaking it in different directions, but eventually the D-Rex gets free. Although free of the T-Rex grip, it was severely wounded and could barely maintain its guard. The T-rex charges again by biting its snout and breaking few bones and then it nudges the D-Rex off the edge, causing it to fall down to the water. D-Rex tries to climb out violently but as soon as it got above the water trying to make its way out the mosasaur jumps out and drags it off and we see it drag it into the water.

On top of the edge we see a T-Rex make a victory roar and going back to the wounded female.

Later on, we will be shown some shots with Owen talking in the background as the voice behind the camera. We hear him saying that the female T-Rex managed to recover from her wounds and we see a shot of her getting released from the truck and the male greeting her. The male is same as the JP3 rex, basically - lighter green and smaller than the fully grown ones from JP1 and TLW. Owen then explains (as we see the two T-Rexes petting each other) that they tried to breed the T-Rexes naturally by introducing a fully grown male before, but he was too aggressive and she would not let him mate, so after the male was showing too much aggression and starting to fight the female (sort of taking her by force), they decided to take it to Isla Sorna and release it into the "wilderness". The younger male was then introduced and she accepted him, but would still not mate, but he was not too agressive and she could subdue him, due to her being older and larger this time around and thus much easier to deal with than the fully grown T-Rex buck. Later on it is also revealed that she laid some eggs and they had an attraction with the T-rex Kingdom where visitors were able to see them hatching.

We then see the camera cut to the dude (Iffran Khan character) being arrested and so on for causing so many deaths and etc, company being taken away from him and given to a different person, while he was being taken away by the police.

Owen then says that although some tragedies did occur, many have been prevented and thus many families were relieved to know that their kids and so on were not hurt. And "as for my family" he then says, the camera cuts to him in the shot with young teenage raptors (from the surviving pair of the pack - if we assume that it was a mix of males and females) playing with him. Then he rides to the shed on the new motorcycle and comes in to the home where the female lead character greets him and shows him a paper. Upon seeing it they both cheer, hug and kiss, while we get a closup shot of the paper, which turned out to be a medical report confirming that she was pregnant.

Then he sort of says goodbye to us.

OKAY - this one wasnt JUST about T-Rex vs D-Rex, but i just wanted to explore this area a bit further.

So, before I have some of you throwing stones at me or whatever, I just wanted to make a few points here, that I think are pretty much covered in this piece I wrote:

- we get to see the original JP1 T-Rex

- we get a surprise appearance from a male T-Rex, and by defeating D-Rex, it sort of redeems itself after JP3

- D-Rex destroys spino skeleton by accident hinting on its superiority, while it was defeated by a T-Rex in turn (see the point above)

- by seeing the T-Rex couple reunited, we are getting a glimpse from the TLW scene as well (at the end)

- by being told that earlier on the male was acting too aggressive towards the female and fought her we are hinted on the scientific evidence showing the aggrssive behaviour inside the species

- by being told where the first male t-rex (the fully grown one, who was too aggressive) has been taken, thus referencing Isla Sorna as well

- by being shown how t-rex babies hatch and visitors being happy to see them, we are shown, that there is no need for a hybrid in the end

- seeing owen and female character together and getting the news of her pregnancy, we see a deeper emotional relationship between the characters

- and we see Jurassic World being saved and still running after recovering from the blow in the end

So, may be there is more here, but thats what I came up with. I know a lot of this might look cheesy the way I describe it, but with a proper approach and having professional script writers and director working on this material I have presented, it will probably look pretty amazing, but that is strictly my subjective opinion, so we CAN agree to disagree IF that is the case!

So I guess that's it from me for now ;)

Well...

I'll be honest. I don't quite know.

It's assumed that Utah Raptor (The Base model for the JP Velociraptors) Could jump 13-14 feet vertical in the air.

Allosaurus is Essentailly, A bigger, Bulkier, And more Enhanced version of Utah Raptor.

I'd say it might, Keep in mind MIGHT, be safe to say Allosaurus could jump maybe 20 to 25 feet Vetically. Perhaps maybe 30 or more feet at a Dead Sprint.

I must agree I don't want to D-Rex kill T-Rex. I don't think he got a fair shake against the spino.  That said, here's some food for thought. What if there's an epic battle between the two towards the end of the movie that takes place near the water enclosure. That ends in the aquatic animal getting a genetically created snack?

If people get so butthurt over a fight scene of Rex losing, who cares? You either enjoy the movie- or you don't. If T-Rex wins, whatever, I just want a good movie.

Sniper, I don't get your take on the Rex/Spino fight in JPIII.

It's the only real dino-on-dino fight we've seen in the entire film series, served to underline the idea that Spinosaurus was more dangerous and scary than T Rex, and was executed beautifully by Stan Winston's people. It's a great scene, possibly the best in the entire film.

I just don't see where "we" learned that these fights don't work, unless T Rex wins.

I am assuming that Rex gets a chance to redeem itself in this film, by either assisting in the destruction of The D, or destroying it him/herself, so I'm kinda counting on some fights.
