saurornithoidesJurassic World ForumI find this insulting in the extreme

Im pretty sure this issue started when Joss Whedon reacted to that 1 clip of BDH and Chris Pratt conversing.

Seriously, some people take things waaaaaaay tooo complicatedly. I saw this one video on youtube its a compilation of videos by owners videotaping their dog's reactions when cats steal their beds and i shit you not, some guy commented that the video represents the stealing of land by one race from another ( apologies for not giving details since the comment is foul and offensive )

saurornithoidesJurassic World ForumRUMOR: Indominus Rex, Spinosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus Rex Battle Sequence

I actually posted this in here a few months ago, a 3 way battle between the super predators of JW, though ive heard about that supposed source on youtube i didnt really took it seriously.

The reason why i thought of such an idea is because of Collin's tweet "Rex Redemption" remember that? no one and nothing in the whole JP franchise has ever humiliated the t-rex except the spinosaurs which means in the JW the t-rex might finally get to have his revenge on him and theres no way indominus would sit idly by while all of that is happening. :)

But eventually i began to think that it might not be the case and considered the possibility that during the I-rex vs T-rex fight, the t-rex will ferociously knock down the skeleton of the spinosaurus, a subtle and symbolic way to redeem its place at the top of dino badassery.

I watched Jurassic World B-roll and found the cast filming sorrounded by what looked like the crumpled and scattered bones of the spinosaurus, i might actually be spot on on this one.

Thanks for understanding, man.

Oh and you're right, I went back and looked at some old dino art and... man, they look terrible.

Well, I said I would come check out your post, so I'll leave a comment.

Most of this was pretty funny, I thought the dino pics you posted while likening them to yourself was hilarious! XD

But I'm sorry, I'm not really getting into the religious jokes, I'm not offended or anything, I just don't find them all that funny. I know it wasn't intended to make fun of Christians, but still.

Again, though, other than that I found a lot of the post to be really funny and I laughed at parts of it!

Thank you so much SIks. Your place in raptor heaven is now assured. FOllow my laws:

Thou shall not have any other false god besides thy holy 401

Thou shall not use 401's name in vain

Thou shall worship thy 401 weekly

Just kidding! Thanks so much for your comment, that actually made my day!

That. Was. Awesome. Seriously.

You are like a new god of the internet. I must obtain a sacrifice for you.

*Sneaks into Rexy's paddock to steal her goat.

*Rexy catches me

*Stares up at Rexy with bold determination in his eyes whilst holding a goat whilst saying, "This goat isn't for you. This goat is for my god and master Raptor-401. TEAM INDOMINUS REX FOR -"

*Whilst examining the wreckage the members of the forum find Siks' remains.

* "I think I found Siks."

* "Uhh. I think I found him too."

No but seriously that was awesome. Keep up the good work man.

And I think I should end this comment by saying that you guys are all awesome and that I love and respect all of you as my fellow forum members.

Alphadino65Jurassic World ForumRUMOR: Indominus Rex, Spinosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus Rex Battle Sequence

I am taking this with a grain of salt.  Nothing has been indicated that Spinosaurus will return in JW, or even show up, let alone do battle with 2 giant carnivores.  The rumours are from poor sources.  This was actually brought up a few months ago on YouTube, where the user spoke to one of the extras for the movie and said Spino will be in the final battle, but then retracted by saying that it was probably Suchomimus.

I would love it if Spino is given a high-profile role in JW, or even interacts at some level with the characters, but I think that if this 3-way fight will happen, too much would be going on, and it would be overkill.  Trevorrow is a good director, and h has a good set of writers with him, so they would know that they can't have too much happening if they involve another giant theropod in the mix.

That was great!!! Really, really great. I loved the part where you keep, reading the beginnings of other books. That was hysterical!!!!

Alphadino65Jurassic Park ForumWhat dinosaur would you choose for the sequel, be they already seen or not...

For me, Carnotaurus can work, but because Trevorrow wanted JW to start off a legit non-episodic saga, the abilities of the Carnotaurus would be redundant.  Indominus rex's abilities were inspired a bit by the TLW Carnotaurus.

I like the idea about V. sornaensis vs V. nublarensis.  That was the second thing that came into my head when read the topic title.

But the first thing was Spinosaurus.  Preferably the JP3 version, but I can warm up to the  2014 reconstruction.  Like it or not, Spinosaurus is a part of JP, and for those who were young in the early 2000's, they have a soft spot for Spinosaurus.

Maybe bring back Brachiosaurus.  Apatosaurus was done in the novels and in other movies like The Land Before Time.  Brachiosaurus' main appearance was in Jurassic Park, and deserves to be in a later installment.

Thank you so much alpha! The fact that you said I hit the nail with this makes me so happy to know it was a well-informed essay.

It is funny how right Michael Crichton was on some dinosaurs being bird-like.

And it makes me ecstatic you got the reference! Yes, that is simply one of the most classic movies!

Alphadino65Dinosaurs ForumAn Outlook on the History of Dinosaurs

You hit the nail on the head with this essay.  Imagination and vision are as important as scientific accuracy.  I think that's why Jurassic Park was so successful, even as a book.  And it turned out that a lot of stuff that JP showed that were originally deemed "scientifically inaccurate" are now right.

And yes, I got the "inconceivable" reference.  Anyone who watches great movies knows that reference :P

Author’s Note:

This article was created for a serious but at the same time comical outlook on the evolution of dinosaur reconstructions. The swear words used in this article we meant for pure entertainment and comical amusement. The joke making fun of the Genesis account in the Bible was purely a joke and is not intended to make fun of Christians. I myself am non-religious, as a side note. All pictures are the rights to their respective owners. The joke having to do with the “inner psychotic side of my Spanish ancestry” is due to the fact that I am of mostly Spanish descent, and is not meant to offend anyone who is of Spanish descent, as well. Those who did not get the joke should pay attention to History class more.

ALPHADINO65 - The information you have provided is quite insightful! They really felt that Thomas the Tank Engine was sexist? I do not have the words to describe my shock at this knowledge. Regardless, thank you! :)

Lets talk about this for a second. As stated Prior by 401, Things get popular and people will find ANY reason to complain. Any reason.

This was actually posted on the main scified thread not too long ago, But It was only one little thing. It's interesting to see it's kinda blown up.

One of the Iron Man Writers made a Snide comment on twitter about the characters being too 1980's and sexist or something. This was met with an almost immeadiate backlash from Fans of the film, Calling him out for his writing on Iron man not drifting too far off of his own comment.

This died down to my knowledge, But, Old habits die hard. Someone's going to side with this person for no real reason. It the internet they all think they're invincible, and comment with little to know real knowledge on the situation of consequences for their actions.

There's nothing that can be done to reign it in. Nor would anyone ever be able to.

It's a shame, but we can't do anything besides spread that it isn't sexist. Although, We haven't seen the film yet, so we don't know if it's sexist or not.

Most likely not, The characters don't seem to be sexist, But things could potentially be different. Unlikely, But theres a chance.

Sounds like the motives behind whoever started this (because I never heard a word of this before) are either A) get any attention, B) is the modern version of a politically-correct hard-on feminist who forgot what feminism is in theory, or C) both.  But the symbolism and allegory that Pratt and Howard have are not gender-based at all, it's corporate vs real.  I bet every user on this forum knows that, and I fearlessly predict that every user here did not think about sexism when following the film's news updates.

This stuff happens to every pop culture thing.  I think Jurassic Park struck a cord when it was released in theatres, especially with the "gender roles in survival situations" quote from Sattler.

Heck, even THE RAILWAY SERIES was under fire for sexism in the 60's, and then again in the mid-80's when it was made into "Thomas the Tank Engine" on television!  A KID'S BOOK SERIES!!!!

@JRR- That is completely understandable. I personally think they won't compare with the first two, I'm just hoping it's better than the complete mediocrity of Jurassic Park 3.

That is common to happen. Whenever something gets popular it is often called sexist. I've seen with video games and books.

I guess they want to express their hate in some way that will surely attract attention. I say just ignore them. Although I hate this phrase, you know what they say: "haters gonna hate."

Nonetheless, still excited for the movie!

That is true I guess. I probably will just eat small stuff up until like 5 like chips and stuff like that. My pleasure for reminding you. The worst thing will be that they no longer have any more nachos/pop corn while watching JW.

DINOZILLA0439 - I would greatly enjoy seeing Jurassic World in 3D! However, I do not believe my eyes and head would survive the ordeal; I get headaches if I am exposed to too much visual stimulus at one time! Regardless, I just know that I am going to very much enjoy the film in 2D! :)

I think I officiial got into the Jurassic Park hype about 3 1/2 years ago. I think AMC will continuously re-run the movies, so you could re-watch all of them then.

That's awesome! My dad bought my ticket just because he's an awesome dad, haha.

2. Chris Pratt as Owen Grady

    Katie McGrath as Zara Young

    Jake Johnson as Lowery Cruthers

Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing

3. My favorite scene from the trailers and tv spots is when Katie McGrath gets dropped in the mosasaur tank by a pteranodon. This scene looks as if it will be very interesting. I have always wanted to see a JP movie with prehistoric marine reptiles. Can't wait for this movie, I have been waiting ever since JP 3 hoping to see a sequel that can live up to the first JP movie.

Well, I don't think I'll be doing anything too special... Haha.

I just got back into the Jurassic Park hype awhile ago, I have been a fan for a long time but I kind of strayed away from it for awhile (personal reasons), so unfortunately I don't own all of the movies, only the third one.

But, I saw that there is a showing on TV for the first one, so likely I'll watch it when it comes on and then the third film maybe on the same day I go see Jurassic World.

Along with that, I know I'll be getting the Jurassic World themed Mike & Ike's that I got when I went to see Avengers (seriously, you guys gotta try them, they're awesome). If they still have them, that is. I also know I'll get popcorn and a soda as well.

I don't know just yet, but I may or may not go eat somewhere after that (what we did with Avengers). I would really like to get the Jurassic World Blizzard from DQ at some point... but not sure when that will happen.

And getting to see JW in 3D is all thanks to my sis, who's buying tickets as a birthday gift. :D

3.  The small clip where you see (presumibly the Indominous Rex) a dinosaur hatching. It's a huge omage to the first film where they hatch the velociraptor even before they know it's a raptor. I just absolutely love it. Makes me feel 10 years all over again.

A bit challenging keeping up with the TV spots, but I like the idea of keeping Rexy a secret.

I was really disappointed with the toys, but otherwise the merchandise was pretty good.

Well I am going to see it in "XD Real D 3D" which is my theatres' equivalent of IMAX 3D. (I think.) But I will definitely be seeing it in 3D!

I probably will, because most theatres in my area don't have IMAX.  But if I go to a theatre a bit farther away, then it's IMAX all the way!
