Of course, deep diving physeter Livyatan could simply drag Megalodon to its death after a ram. I see this happening sometimes. Scary when the villain that we love gets humanized (so to speak) by a more horrifying force...

listen, Before you ever post anything ITS BEST ADVISED, to read it over, And improve it the best you can...
(We have many grammar freaks on here -including myself-)
Just small little things, that need a second look before being posted, also, Make sure it makes sense, "The duck left home, the duck bought groceries, the duck ate groceries, the duck left home" doesn't make much sense right? Anyways, just some slight tips.
best of luck in your future articles...

And did my writing about flipping a croc help bring back the memory, or did you just decide to post it now?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumHow could I make my story better?Sep 24, 2013
Grammar is certainly the biggest thing. Also, say you have a fight between a Tyrannosaurus and a Deinosuchus. Instead of writing their whole names, put Rex, Gator, T-rex, etc. Stuff like that. Make sure to use the environment as well and give us details. It's little things like that that really drive home the point.
Other than that, keep up the good work.

Thanks. Sometimes I do mildly predictable fights, but I'm always glad I can still make them interesting :)

Just a few days ago. I was watching a show called The Whale That Ate Jaws and they talked about it. It did not register until they showed a picture of an orca holding a great white upside down in the water. Then I started thinking, could that happen to Megalodon? So, I decided to post about it.

Nice Fight! I expected eocarcharia to win but still very entertaining
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumMegalodon's Little Known WeaknessSep 24, 2013
So, they have the same thing as crocs do I guess. Poor Megalodon, you're now a whole lot easier to kill. Rex Fan, when did you watch this?
ReplyEustreptospondylusDinosaurs ForumDinoFights Bonus Fight 2Sep 24, 2013
Nice Fight! Predicted the winner as soon as i saw rex was fighting haha but regardless still very good.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumHow could I make my story better?Sep 24, 2013
I agree with MrHappy. Grammar is one of the most important things.dont do this. Do this. Make things detailed. Here is an example "Raven the Velociraptor walks into a clearing. A pack of Achilobator jump into the clearing and attack Raven. Raven runs away, but the Achillobator follows him" that isn't to bad, but its not great. This would be better "Raven the Velociraptor walks into a clearing. Out of nowhere, a pack of Achilobator jump into the same clearing and try to bite Raven, but the little Velociraptor manages to weave in and out of the attacks and runs away. He looks back to see the Achilobator chasing him, but they are getting farther and farther away." This is much better, and a much easier to picture. Do you get what I'm saying? Try to make it so that the reader can get a picture in his/her mind of what's happening, and also read past stories.
Ps. Use diversity of words. Try not to repeat the same word in a sentace, even if it is a name.

I knew about tonic immobility in sharks but never thought to apply it to Megalodon. very intresting idea
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumHow could I make my story better?Sep 24, 2013
It's just some grammar issues. Punctuation and grammar mostly. They're still good chapters. For example, instead of saying "so do anyone have tips?" Say "so does anyone have tips?" Just small thing like that.
Replytyrant963Dinosaurs ForumMegalodon's Little Known WeaknessSep 24, 2013
interesting indeed every creature have a weakness even the notorious T-rex!
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumMegalodon's Little Known WeaknessSep 24, 2013
That's interesting. Never really thought about it.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumDinoFights Bonus Fight 2Sep 24, 2013
I still think it is a good fight, just not following the rules of a croc.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
I must agree that that Dac was a good opponent. But here are opsome anky facts.
1: It was 30 feet long
2: It had a (small but still heavy) bony tail
3: It was armored
4: It is low to the ground and hard to reach by larger theropods
Now of course besides those facts that clearly make Anky a tough opponent, he isn't a tough opponent.

Thanks Tyrant. Glad you enjoyed it.

ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumDinoFights Bonus Fight 2Sep 24, 2013
Sorry, but I wanted a different ending ;)
Hope you still liked it overall.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumDinoFights Bonus Fight 2Sep 24, 2013
Maybe, but I still dotn like the fact that Deinosuchus didn't just get beaten then and there.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
Argument is futile, I'm out.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumDinoFights Bonus Fight 2Sep 24, 2013
I know, part of it is creativity ;)
Anyways, perhaps when the T-rex grabbed the front leg and wrenched back, it "woke" the Deinosuchus up.

Did I just say that K. Dragons have a septic bite? NO. I changed it to a degree of venom.
And I can see this is going no where. Just keep in mind the majority of people believe T-rex had a septic bite.
Rex Fan, out.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumDinoFights Bonus Fight 2Sep 24, 2013
Great fight. And I thought the pic was by DinoSteve. Great job DinoSteve! I have one problem. If a crocodile is rolled over, then its brain is basically shut off from the rest of its body. And this doesn't take long, maybe a few seconds. So once the Croc was on its back, it should have been motionless and unable to flip over. That's why Cleo could kill all those crocodiles.
Ps. I would have commented sonnet but just as I was finishing my comment up I had to go somewhere.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
Yes, easy prey. The tail club is very small, Ankylosaurus is too small, too small for any giant theropods.
And RexFan, Triceratops, however, was not an easy prey for T. rex, as it was not Dacentrurus ...Dacentrurus is a good opponent for T.rex.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumTop 10 Dinosaur Super WeaponsSep 24, 2013
Ok RexFan, komodo dragons do not have a septic bite:
http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/science-sushi/2013/06/25/here-be-dragons-the-mythic-bite-of-the-komodo/#.UkJ1ooZrjN4
No scientific paper/article wrote by paleontologist has never suggested that T. rex had a septic bite, then DO NOT T. rex had a septic bite, there is no evidence for this. The books and documentaries are not nenanche close to the reliability of scientific papers.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
Ankylosaurus, easy prey? You're serious, right? I forget how big that tail club was (70ish pounds I think), but it was big, and solid bone, the size of beachball (I think), and it had armour made of bone, combine that with the fact that it was close to the ground, it would be a formidable opponent for ANY predator (Spinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Charcarodontosaurus, etc.).
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
Later dinosaurs had more advanced brains, defense systems, eating habits, etc. There's a reason why stegosaurs were replaced.
I can see this really isn't going anywhere, so this is my last comment on the topic.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 10 Dinosaur Super WeaponsSep 24, 2013
I just did some looking, and I found that K. Dragons have a degree of venom. Not pure venom, but a degree of it.
Either way, books, sites, scientific papers, articles, etc. All good sources of info as long as they are backed up by good evidence. And frankly, I've seen more things(not just books) pointing to T-rex having a septic bite.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
Ankylosaurus is a really easy prey for T.rex, as it was much smaller than the latter.
And what you mean by advanced? Triceratops was no better than Dacentrurus.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumTop 10 Dinosaur Super WeaponsSep 24, 2013
Nope, the best sources were from scientific paper.
And the komodo dragons have a venomous bite, not a septic one.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
Yes, and T-rex lived with heavily armored/dangerous prey like Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, etc. All of which are more advanced than Dacentrurus. Not to mention every single source of info I've seen state that Dacentrurus was no more than 26 ft or so. And they mentioned the 1.5 meter hip bone.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
@RexFan: Ok, if you like it. But dacentrurus CAN kill a T.rex. The largest T.rex is just as large as the largest Dacentrurus, and the latter has a better weaponary.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
I was referring to the overrated comments when I suggested not starting up Rex vs Spino.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 10 Dinosaur Super WeaponsSep 24, 2013
K. Dragons have a septic bite. Not a venomous one.
And why are books bad sources? Books are just as good as websites. Just printed on paper.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
T.rex vs Spinosaurus is dead now, we talking about T.rex vs Dacentrurus.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs ForumTop 10 Dinosaur Super WeaponsSep 24, 2013
The books are generally bad sources. And I repeat, the Komodo dragon kills its prey with venom, not bacteria.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMeat Eaters vs Plant Eaters: Fight!! 1/4Sep 24, 2013
I would argue the allosaurids/carcharodontosaurs are the best sauropod fighters.
I look at it this way. It's not the dinosaurs fault if he's so famous. I go by the facts and accepted theories when it comes to dinosaur fights.
