(Sizes based on my estimates)
Tyrannosaurus rex- Tyrant Lizard King

Nickname- King of the Dinosaurs
Size-
40-50 ft long, 19-23 ft tall, and 7-10 tons
Speed-
15-25 miles per hour
Weapons-
Massive teeth over 6-13 inches long, immense bite force(3-9 tons psi), speed, strength, size, toe claws, and intelligence.
Primary Weakness-
Short arms
Extra Details-
Tyrannosaurus rex was the king of the dinosaurs. While other large theropods may have rivalled T-rex in size, it was still the biggest terrestrial carnivore that ever walked the northern hemisphere. This giant carnivore killed at will and would not hesitate to fight. As the unrivalled apex predator of North America, Tyrannosaurus rex sat atop the food chain like a sovereign on a throne.
Deinosuchus- Terrible Crocodile

Nickname- Super Gator
Size-
30-40 ft long, 3-5 ft tall, 4-6.5 tons
Speed-
10 mile per hour dash on land, 20-30 miles per hour in water
Weapons-
Sharp teeth, strong bite(at least 10 tons psi), death roll, and armor.
Primary Weakness-
Soft stomach
Extra Details-
Deinosuchus is the largest crocodilian that ever lived in North America. While Sarcosuchus and a few other species rival, if not exceed, Deinosuchus in size, it was still a terrifying predator. While not very fast or agile on land, Deinosuchus could probably lunge forward on land like modern day crocodiles and alligators. Deinosuchus would also have been capable of spinning in circles while on land. This giant predator made dinosaurs think twice before entering the water.

It’s mid-day on Isla Sorna. A large Tyrannosaurus is making his way to a large lake in the center of his territory. The 44 ft giant is very thirsty. The temperature is over 86 degrees Fahrenheit and the Rex needs to stay hydrated. As he nears the lake, a number of Parksosaurus’ scatter. 30 yards out in the water, a giant 38 ft Deinosuchus cruises like a submarine through the water. His head comes up to the surface. From a distance, it just looks like a log floating in the water. The giant gator sees the large Tyrannosaurus on the bank of the lake and decides to attack. He silently swims over, only his nose breaking the surface. As he enters the shallow part of the lake, he rests on the floor of the lake. The Tyrannosaurus senses something is wrong. He scans the water and can just barely make out the silhouette of the Deinosuchus. The Rex leaps back just as the giant alligator lunges out of the water. The Tyrannosaurus escapes as the Deinosuchus’ jaws snap shut inches from his face. The Rex steps back and roars loudly as the gator hisses at the tyrant dinosaur. The T-rex, in a show of force, slams his foot onto the ground, shaking the earth as he roars loudly. The Deinosuchus is used to fighting dinosaurs and does not really care. The T-rex is enraged and charges forward. The gator suddenly does a death roll and spins out of the way. The T-rex turns to face his rival. Being low to the ground, the Deinosuchus will not be an easy opponent. The gator lunges forward. He misses, but not completely. One of his teeth snags the Rex’s shoulder, and when he comes back down, tears a large hole in the Tyrannosaurus. The Rex roars in pain. With the gator close, the is able to fight back. The tyrant dinosaur leans down and bites down on the back of the Deinosuchus. His powerful jaws manage to break through the gator’s tough armor, but only a little. Both giants only have minor injuries so far. The T-rex takes a step back and prepares to charge again. The giant gator prepares for the attack. The Tyrannosaurus attacks, but the Deinosuchus is ready. He spins around and slams the Rex in the legs with his powerful tail. The Rex roars due to the stinging sensation. He tries to outflank the Deinosuchus, but the gator keeps him from doing this by spinning every time, keeping his massive jaws pointed at the Rex. The T-rex, being smarter than the gator, takes a minute to try and figure out what to do. While he does this, the Deinosuchus takes the opportunity and makes a dash for the water. The T-rex charges in after him and cuts him off, keeping the gator from getting to the deeper part. The Deinosuchus tries to swim around the Rex, but the Rex keeps himself between the gator and the rest of the lake. The Deinosuchus suddenly leaps out of the water and attacks the Tyrannosaurus. He grabs the Rex’s arm and does a series of death rolls. The T-rex roars in pain and agony as the bones in his arms snap and break. Eventually, the whole arm is torn off. The Deinosuchus swallows the arm, as if mocking the Tyrannosaurus. The giant gator leaps out of the blood filled water again at the enraged king. But the T-rex is ready. He ducks as the gator attacks. Then, he shoves the Deinosuchus in the stomach and pushes him onto dry land. The Deinosuchus lands on his back and has trouble getting back on his feet. While belly-up, the Rex, in a twist of irony, grabs the gator’s front leg and wrenches back. Using his powerful jaws and neck muscles, he dislocates the front leg. The Deinosuchus finally manages to flip himself over. But the Rex is too fast. He plants one of his feet on the back of the Deinosuchus. He flexes his toes and drives his claws deep into the back of the gator, holding it in place. The Deinosuchus hisses loudly, but can’t fight back. The Deinosuchus is having trouble regulating his body temperature. It’s very hot out and he’s overheating. The Rex has no trouble regulating his temperature and keeps fighting. The Tyrannosaurus bends down and bites down on the head of the giant alligator. His teeth pierce the skull of the Deinosuchus and go straight through his brain. The Deinosuchus goes limp and the T-rex removes his foot. As he lets go of the gator’s head, he leaves a tooth firmly stuck in it’s skull. The T-rex moves off to rest. His family will take care of him while he heals and soon, he’ll be back in action.
Winner- Tyrannosaurus rex

T-rex was simply more advanced than the Deinosuchus. It had the land advantage too and was smart enough to keep itself from going to deep in the water. Ultimately, the deciding factory was intelligence.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-24-2013 3:16 PMGood fight, and nice picture. Results were what I expected. If Rex could dodge the initial lunge, it's automatically in his favour.
Jack of all trades. Master of none

MemberCompsognathusSep-24-2013 3:20 PMIntelligent isn't an advantage in a battle though...but still a good fight. I think that a T.rex can kill a Deinosuchus only on land, but in shallow water Deinosuchus take the cake.

MemberCompsognathusSep-24-2013 3:44 PMGreat fight. And I thought the pic was by DinoSteve. Great job DinoSteve! I have one problem. If a crocodile is rolled over, then its brain is basically shut off from the rest of its body. And this doesn't take long, maybe a few seconds. So once the Croc was on its back, it should have been motionless and unable to flip over. That's why Cleo could kill all those crocodiles.
Ps. I would have commented sonnet but just as I was finishing my comment up I had to go somewhere.

MemberCompsognathusSep-24-2013 3:47 PMI know, part of it is creativity ;)
Anyways, perhaps when the T-rex grabbed the front leg and wrenched back, it "woke" the Deinosuchus up.

MemberCompsognathusSep-24-2013 3:54 PMMaybe, but I still dotn like the fact that Deinosuchus didn't just get beaten then and there.

MemberCompsognathusSep-25-2013 5:59 AMHaha, thanks for your appreciation, I really enjoyed doing this drawing. Anyway, the fight came out great, I was in a suspense reading this fight like very few other fights. There's no way not to love a brawl between the king of dinosaurs and the giant croc.

Crocodile-dinosaur fights are hard to do because in water, the crocodile wins, hands down. On land, dinosaur wins. On land there's at least a chance croc wins but still, outcomes are foreseeable.
