Me too. Tyrannosaurs all the way!!!
Welcome back. Nice to see you again.
And I know what you're talking about MrHappy with Fact Dude ;)
Sounds good to me. I'm rooting for Lythronax
Welcome back Spinobro/Forgotten.
And that's funny MrHappy. :)
Great fight, althought I was rooting too for Sinraptor. A well written fight still.
And RexFan's Lythronax vs. Arcovenator sounds good. My votes for this one.
Yes. It was about 7-8 meters long and 1-2 tons. Same size range as Lythronax.
Hey Spinobro. I'll probably still call you that.
For some reason, I was expecting FACT DUDE (new pic hasn't loaded for me yet). I was expecting him due to some "Issues" on other forums, and the whole, "I'm baaaaaaack" thing. You know what I mean, like you don't see the villain for a long time, and then they appear at the worst possible time with "I'm baaaaaack....... insert something that a villain would say." See what I mean though?
Nice to see you back Spinobro, or forgotten (I guess, I'll use either forgotten or Spinobro).
i originally wrote it out for the sinraptor to win, but as i re-wrote it....the cards just weren't in the allosaurs favor. Arcovenator is the new abelisaur found in france right?
Good fight.
Hmm, Siats vs Zhuchengtyrannus

Or Lythronax vs Arcovenator

I'm taking the tyrannosaur in either battle.
Good fight, I was rooting for Sinraptor though. Oh well.
Fir the bonus fight, I'm not sure. I've got one in mind, but I'll likely use it at some point in DD9097MS. I'll say Acrocanthosaurus vs Tarbosaurus. My money's on Tarbo for that fight.
It's all just opinions, I see it as 7-8 tons as an adult myself.
I think your Giganotosaurus weight is fine personally as I estimate it to be 6-8 tons as an adult.
Well, yeah. I'm on Team Spino, but I do see advantages in Tyrannosaurus. If you ask me, the location would decide on the winner. In a forest, Tyrannosaurus would win, in a field or prairie, either could win. In a wetlands area or a lake, Spinosaurus would win. Watch Monsters Ressurected: Biggest Killer Dino for more info. (I do warn you, in that video Spinosaurus is a bit OP.) Rex Fan 684 said this discussion is dead. I'm just posting this to STOP THIS STUPID ARGUMENT!!! IT'S POINTLESS!!! DO SOMETHING ELSE WITH THE JP SERIES OR DINOSAURS!!! Sorry about that, just getting the message through your heads.
(P.S. The meusem with the Spinosaurus bones wasn't blown up. There was a Nazi base really close to it, and that was bombed. The meusem was destroyed from the impact.)
I know that it's too early for a mega long chapter. It was just an idea for future reference perhaps. I see that you're using your own opinions in this, that's fine. You didn't have to have that long speech about the weight.
Thanks for the support and constructive criticism everyone! I greatly appreciate it.
MrHappy9097, that is a very interesting idea to include in the first chapter, but if I included the hunt this early on in the story, the chapter would have been way too long, considering the amount of detail I want to include in this story. Nonetheless, a very dramatic cliff hanger, but perhaps a bit too dramatic at this point in the story.
And yes, the Giganotosaurus weight may seem a bit low, but I personally think that Giganotosaurus was not too heavy, around the 6-7 ton range, since everything that I read indicates that it was overall a faster creature than a T.rex. As well, weight varies between individuals of every species. Perhaps Hades was a bit lighter than he should have been when he reached this age, or maybe his body didn\'t absorb enough nutrients to let him gain weight. Either way, he was the largest in his pack and had the alpha status.
Guessing the weight of prehistoric creatures is always subject to standard error. For example, the lowest Spinosaurus weight estimate was 4 tons, and the greatest estimate was around 20 tons. We simply do not know for sure, and there will always be differences of theorized opinion. That is what this forum is used for, right? To discuss these sorts of issues and bring new information to the table.
From the progress I've made in the book, I'll have to say:
Lex - Movie
Tim - Book
Movie.
Wait wait wait, that's not true. Well, my answers's: both. I prefer the film version of Lex, while I find the book Tim better.
That's a pretty good fight! A but short, but good nonetheless
Grea start, I agree with the others (two). All's very suspenceful and enjoyable. So good job!
thanks guys! and this was probably the shortest one i wrote...abelisaurus stood really no chance at all
If you ask me, it would be suspenseful to leave off in the middle or end of the hunt with a member underneath a Andesaurus before crashes down on top of him/her.
I've been thinking how we have a new park in JW. Perhaps this idea of high technology, increased security and absolute control can convise the government, i find it very difficult but you know, we are no longer in 1993.
Good. I like the cliff hanger.
I agree with the winner completely. Just try and lenthen the fights from now on.
Here's a few pics since these don't seem to work(at least for me)...

(Abelisaurus)

(Gorgosaurus)
Good beginning. Your Giga weight is a little low, but good job.
i will try! my fights will probably never be as good as his though...and i don't think my pictures worked for the first fight, but i'll tinker with em
thanks! i didn't know who would actually win until i was almost finished with this..
Very cool! I was rooting for Gorgosaurus all along.
If I'd go for the most reasonably-sized prehistoric creature, I'd go with Balaur bondoc. It was a prehistoric bird, and it is commonly theorized that it was fairly intelligent, like today's parrots. Sure, it was over six-feet long (about the size of a Velociraptor mongoliensis), but I'd like to imagine as a big parrot or macaw.
If I could go for the most awesome prehistoric creature, I'd like to have a Utahraptor ostromaysorumm. It was the giant of all dromaeosaurs, and would put any guard dog to shame, as well as scaring anyone who dared to mess with me to the point of soiling their trousers. However, it would have to be very tame. I'd like to think of my Utahraptor almost like Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon: intelligent, formidable, but a good and loyal friend.
I'd either go for an Elephant bird or a Bullockornis. The second for to having the nickname of "Deamon Duck of Doom"
I keep getting this feeling, like im going to dislike the next installment, which wouldnt suprise me, but it would...
I'd give anything to be jurassic world, 'At'd be cool as heck...
hmm soon... soon...
Here's an idea: 2 things: Dinosaurs are captured by environmentalists who try to save the dinosaurs and release them into forests and jungles all over the world, very early on after the discovery of Site B. Dinosaurs are spotted all around the world and their numbers have grown exceptionally, especially raptors.
Meanwhile, the pteranodons spread a germ to the birds and they migrate all over the world, and most mammals are affected. They become really dumb and most of humanity cannot function and are slowly dying off out of sheer inability to think. Now carnivorous dinosaurs are all over the place.
Dr. Wu's wife finds a note of desperation from her deceaced husband, one he told her she would find in his personal journals. She reads it and finds notes about the illness that he bred out, and realizes the germ has found its way back. The only cure was left underground on Isla Nublar, where a team of experts must venture in order to find it. The team is secretive, only a few trusted researchers chosen by Wu's wife, so as the germ and its cure never fall into the wrong hands.
Just read it. Can't wait for the movie, interesting interview. Perhaps the title change is refering to a name change of the park itself: from Jurassic Park to Jurassic World.
Thanks for sharing! I did read it through, it's a shame Ty couldn't speak more about Jurassic World. I would've liked if they had asked him why they changed the title from Jurassic Park IV to Jurassic World... but I guess probably wouldn't have been able to answer that one either. Still nice to see the cast interacting with the fans.
raptorex@ dont forget that t rex battled triceratops as well. it would have taken a lot of strategy to take one down
