Actually, Muldoon can return. This is 22 years after the first JP. You could find a new actor, but I don't think Muldoon could survive 22 years on an island full of scientifically inaccurate dinosaurs. Well, when you have a closet full of shotguns and an emergency bunker with the shotguns inside, anything is possible.

Yeah, killing Diablo and Ripper would have seemed a bit too merciful for him.
But if he did, wouldn't the mosquitos swarm Scarface as well?
Also, I just thought of something. When Diablo (and Ripper) were looking at Scarface for "help", could they have wanted Scarface to put them out of their misery? Just reading between the lines here, connecting the dots between your last comment and the story.

And Alpha, I truly appreciate what you said. I was gonna have Scarace simply kill his parents and put them out of their misery, but that seemed too merciful for him. Glad you like the story so far :)
This is your best chapter yet.
Many times we forget that it isn't only other dinosaurs/creatures that kills our characters in these stories, or who let them live. The real world is very different than that. Disease is a large factor in survival for all organisms and you depicted it with a great style. Whether or not malaria really did affect prehistoric creatures this way or not is not known, but I'm willing to bet that it wreaked havoc on whatever dinosaur was in the vicinity, just like in this chapter.
I am truly surprised that Scarface could be that heartless. I know that he is a sadistic murderer like his parents, but to have him relish his parents' suffering and deaths is enough to send chills down my spine. I would have thought that Scarface would have felt sad that his parents died, but soon after felt the need to leave them in the past and head north.
This story is just getting juicier and richer the farther it goes.

PS- I should note it's unknown how malaria would have affected dinosaurs. What was seen here is totally my imagination and own thoughts.
