Right shape but my underwater "cruisers" are, biotic. If anyone on the DAF doesn't know what biotic means, good.
It's all just so confusing. Classify Yutyrannus as you wish. I'm keeping it as a tyrannosaur though :)
Cool. Now, my cruisers are fitted for space combat. Are yours? Just curious.
Right now, I'm picturing this for your cruisers MrHappy...

(something like that at least)
ah yes, i remember that.
Andrea Cau stated that the anatomical similarities in the hip bones which led Novas to his conclusions were more likely due to convergent evolution than to any phylogenetic relation to tyrannosauroids. He also pointed out the fact that Aerosteon more closely resembled the Cenomanian giganotosaurines than Neovenator itself, and reclassified Megaraptora as a subfamily of Carcharodontosauridae. Another paper states the same thing...

I've got, not submarines, but submarine sized.
No, no they aren't. Here's reference for the .50 and 20mm.

Well, with that we shall await Paden's word. There's a good chance the Venators will be removed(unless you guys wanted to use attack cruisers of your own, then they'd stay).
There's actually a debate as to whether or not Australovenator, Megaraptor, Aerosteon, and other members of the megaraptorid group belong to the tyrannosaur family.
I think other things besides Dinos can and should be allowed, but still cool army.
Something tells me that's not actual size, haha
Australovenator is from the Early Cretacious, from which Yutyrannus also roamed.
I guess. Well, looks like I'm outnumbered.

Well, perhaps Yutyrannus was a proceratosaur. Not specifically a tyrannosaur, but belonging to the same group overall.
Dryptosaurus is framentaryily known, i mean look at this ( brown coloration is reconstructed based on the body plan of Appalachiosaurus)

to my knowledge, Dryptosaurus doesn't share the D crossection. 'm quite sure classification is being disputed at this very moment as well..
Yes, all primitive tyrrannosaurs do in fact have feathers, but they do not reach the size of Yutyrannus. Sinotyrannus belongs to the Proceratosauridae, an offshoot of the Tyrannosaur family.
Tyrannosauroidea ProceratosauridaeSinotyrannus kazuoensis
Appalachiosaurus montgomeriensis
Allosaurs are distant relatives to the Tyrannosaurs.
I was very tempted to use that pic as well, shoulda ;P
I see what you mean. We'll see what Paden and Raptor say. If they say they're fine with it, I'll take some of the bigger things out like the Venators to even things out. If they say no, I'll reduce it and work out the bugs. Until then, this is my standing military. You gotta admit, it's pretty cool ;)

I've always found movie production to be so interesting. Does that mailbox in the bottom picture imply that the crew can recieve mail at that location? haha.
Oh yeah and I can't wait to watch this movie. I'm wondering how good of a potential there is for a new spin off series of movies. I'd like to see at least 2 more if possible. But I guess we'll have to wait and see how good this one will be first.
There have also been plenty of pointless BS comments made on said topics, so that makes it all the more difficult to keep track of.
I'm not saying that I'm not posting some of the uneeded things, I'm just saying a good chunk of the material is pointless.
Gotta find them before they find you though.
Frankly, there have been so many discussions made about this topic, it's hard to keep track.
I think it's a Tyrannosaur. Were there any Allosaurs in the late Cretaceous?
Actually, I do believe it was a discussion that the dinosaurs and guns only rule was made.
100 000 member limit? That's pretty big. Well, my army has expanded to a fifth of that size.
Great fight, I was rooting for Rex. Looking forward to the next.
I still think it was a tyrannosaur. One reason is that the front teeth of all tyrannosaurs have one thing in common, a D shaped cross section. This is true only in tyrannosaurs. Also, Sinotyrannus and Dryptosaurus are two other similarly sized species of confirmed tyrannosaurs with long arms and 3 fingers. Sinotyrannus also has a covering of feathers and a similar body plan to Yutyrannus. It's also been proposed that Gorgosaurus and Albertosaurus may have had feathers. Nanuqsaurus probably had them too. Large bodied tyrannosaurs with feathers is nothing new, primitive or not. Primitive tyrannosaurs, which is what Yutyrannus is classified as, almost all have feathers, long arms with 3 fingers, and crest like structures. Guanlong is a good example of this. Albertosaurus and Gorgosaurus also have crests. So, to me, Yutyrannus remains a primitive tyrannosaur.

(No offense was inteded with this pic, I just couldn't resist)
Great fight. I was rooting for T.rex. Cool pics too.
A few things. One, keep in mind that because my inbox is down, I have very limited information as to what's going on. Also, this does hit the 100,000 unit requirement Paden told me about. Finally, as far as I know, Paden said this was alright. Now, I understand what you guys are saying, but don't look at me. I am willing to pull the attack cruisers if you want as I understand those are a bit much.
Yeah, only dinos and guns Rex Fan, cool army though. However, you still have to abide by the rules of the war. Ok?
Yeah, I really love it and it's also how I envision a male T.rex (except for coloration, but that's a matter of opinion, rather than debate).
My Quetzal is not only used for air force but it can also be very dangerouse on the ground! Plus my scientist created a chestplate that eill destroy Comy armies!
I thought he exact thing Lieutenant 9097. If Rex Fan can have Storm Troopers, than I want Chitauri.
That said, this is a very intimidating army.
@UCMP, I had a feeling that no one on this site could make a drawing of that quality (especially me). But the image is still awesome!!
Woah woah woah, slow down there.
Let me get this straight, we can't have Smaug, one dragon, but you guys can have friggin 85 000 Star Wars Clone Troopers? What happened to dinosaurs only? And you say the rebellion is evil.
Anyhow, not sure what to do about the vehicles, but I'd imagine a .338 Lapua Magnum would be plenty enough to take out a storm trooper.
Thanks guys. :) @AlphaDino I hope you know that I didn't draw that. I could never in a hundred years draw something even close to that. He's called 'Nebezial' on DeviantArt. He doesn't feature a lot of other paleo art, but he's a great artist. I should start putting the names of the artists somewhere.
great fight. Was actually rooting for Giga this time round, still a great job!
Was this a battle of the ages or what?!
UCMP, your male T.rex pic is the most awesome I had ever seen!! The buck's stance makes him look all the more powerful, as if his muscles have all fully-contracted and made him look bigger! And his feathers and red/orange facial skin make him look like the stuff of nightmares!!
Venator OP, nerf plz! This is pretty intimidating, but I fear the shields the most. I mean how are we supposed to break through those things with dinosaurs?
I didn't know who'd win in this one, I know very little about Titanovenator. Nice fight though. It would be better if you put their sizes on all the fights though, I can't ever remember.
