Glad you liked it. I agree perfectly :)
This. Is. AMAZING!!!Thanks for sharing this with us! I like how they both pretty much have equal wounds and neither are winning.
Pretty good estimates Carnosaur.
I use Windows, so I can't help here.
However, I would recommend looking at Prehistoric Kingdom.
Nice chapters (yes, I read the other one, just commenting for both here), looking forward to the next.
off topic, this is what it comes to my mind when I read the big 4

Carno why the ? in the tallest Theropod
Spinosaurus: The Internet's most overrated dinosaur.
it's still one of the biggest non-sauropod animals to ever walk the planet, It's size has just been up in the air for decades now, there may even be two species!
I've a
ways viewed shantungo at about, 15 meters and 10 tons. That's just me though.
instead of the 18-19 meter. 14 ton ones? me too, will start digging around on it tonight!
Hmm, Shantungosaurus eh? I've always been one for the lower size estimates(12-14 meters long and 7-9 tons).
I thought Carchy was bigger going into this thing, but apparently it got quite the size revision...still one of my personal favorites
Rexy will be posted up in the next couple days..debating on if i should do Shantungosaurus before it or not
Thanks guys!
Nice chapter as always.
Double post, so here's a cool picture.

About the whole 80% remark; by saying that, you are implying that at the same time, 80% of Spino fanboys loved the movie because of that fight.
good chapter, short buut good
Those sizes are fairly reasonable, I ussualy estimate it a bit higher but, everybody has different estimates. :)
I can agree with this. I usually estimate Carcharodontosaurus to be 11-12 meters long and 5-7 tons.
Sadly I don't know anything about it. Always used Windows. :/
But hey, Prehistoric Kingdom will be available on mac! :)
Carno, I posted a link to that discussion for him to take a look at, and he never responded. Don't expect a response for that. Haha, not that it matters.
Interesting, and looking forward to the Rex one.
You know, these were posted a long time ago. I'm not kidding, refer to the date on the post, it says June 20, 2013. That was over a year ago. Things change in a year. People change their opinions in a few days sometimes, so look at the bloody date, and look at newer posts instead of this crap from over a year ago.
That said, call me a fanboy one more time and you've crossed the line.
Why don't you keep your posts consistant? In a previous post, you say Rex could lift 1.5 tons with its arms, and now you say .5 tons. That's a big freaking difference bud.
You sure seem to know a lot about Spinosaurus. Are you a time traveller or a fanboy? You say you aren't, but your posts tell a different story. Fanboys overpower anything to make it seem better. It would appear as though you're overpowering Spino. There's no proof Spino had 6 foot arms. Well, actually, though it's common sense, one could argue that there's no proof Spino had arms at all.
Respond how you will, I don't care, just don't call me a fanboy. That's a terrible way to get liked on this site. Look at the people on these forums. We get along, and we don't call eachother these bullsh!t names.
Really interesting Carnosaur you know what this series is shaping up to be The Tyrant Lizard King's return to the throne!!! :)
I use VMware Fusion to play JPOG on my Mac. Can't play anything that needs to connect online (or at least I haven't taken the time to figure that out), but yeah, JPOG works great.
I highly recommend it. It's a great program. I also use it to operate otherwise "PC-only" programs and plug-ins.

Well, I heard that TSL was being delayed on updates because they were moving the game to Unreal Engine 4. Which could mean more recent updates, better graphics, AI, and potential once its done.
Rex fanboys were honestly just hating on that movie because of that fight scene 80% of the time.
All i can do is roll my eyes at this.
Plus it introduced a awesome new needed villain: Spinosaurus
And you tell me you aren't a spinosaurus fanboy? based on this, and your other posts... that is quite the contrary,
That movie was a poor cinematic representation of what a jurassic park film should be, end of story.
Although you may want to check up on some of these statements.
alot of my views have changed slightly regarding these guys.
For example for the Longest, Largest Skull and largest Theropod would go to Spinosaurus.
Based on what, exactly?
Tyrannosaurus Rex Advantages:
13M long
Weight 7-9 tons
Height 20ft
1. Way bigger bite force (estimated to be around 6-9 tons)
2. Dense bones/skull meaning can use it's head to charge
3. Bigger brain. May have used tactics to take down it's prey
Tryin to be fair with my arguments, so let's start with rexy.
Tyrannosaurus bones were quite hollow actually, not dense as you've stated. The skull wasn't heavily enforced, so a 'ramming' technique probably would not be utilized. It's all about those jaws in this animals case.
Tyrannosaurus did not reach a height of 20 feet, that's a fabrication passed on from various dino documentaries. "Sue", the largest tyrannosaur that's fairly complete, had an estimated hip height of around 7-8 feet, a head height of 13 feet. Pretty tall, just not that tall. Also, an average tyrannosaurus measured 11.6 meters and weighed 6/7 tons.
6ft long robust arms equipped with 13-15 inch claws
We haven't found its arms, so that's mere speculation. Most of what you have posted on spino is speculation, but i've covered that in my previous posts. Can you provide any sources with these claims?
I'm seeing a lot of baised Rex fanboy's which is a shame. But i'll give credit where it's due. In the end we still can only assume. For this post i'll put the final nail in this coffin:
This. Apparently you are too blind to see, or are just ignoring the fact that there have been many biased spinosaurus claims on this thread. Your 'final nail in the coffin is full of inaccuracies and myths founded on dinosaur documentaries and false proof.
I disagree. Many scientists/paleontologists have made Spino on average 17m long. 18-20m is not really out of it's base.
Spino's weight on average was 11-13 tons
besides the internet 'paleontologists' who puts spino at these sizes? give me at least four credible names, and i will leave it alone. I have seen absolutely nothing suggesting an 'average' of 17 meters and 11 tons for spinosaurus. 18-20 meters? that's laughable.
PS: The whole "sail" theory is debunked and it still suprises me how still people bring it up. The Spine couldn't have been a skin sail since the space between the spines were too small to effectively span skin between. A hump is impossible since it would be too heavy. The spines most LIKELY supported a muscular sail like Acrocanthosaurus, which would make it more stronger. Meaning more weight/power.
I never mentioned the sail of Spinosaurus, so why bring it up? We have five or so neural spines. That's not a whole lot to even know what the structure was. No other spinosaur had spines this high, or this wide in diameter. Suchomimus had a ridge i believe, though i'm not entirely sure.
It was pretty darn sturdy and has a bite force of 3 tons on average.
Funny, because the bite force of S. Aegyptiacus has never been mentioned in any bite force study i'm aware of. Try again.
The fish it preyed upon were half as long as Spinosaurus and weight 1.5 tons
Mawsonia and Onchopristis got 30 feet long? news to me.. A quote from the website Paleodirect: " attaining maturity in about 10 years. Females give live birth and pup sawfishes are around 2.5 ft long at birth, reaching a maximum length of 23 ft!"
Mawsonia was about the size of the coelocanth, around 15 or so feet maximum.
Rex can lift 1.5 tons with its arms. Acrocanthosaurus had arms 4x more powerful than Rex's. Now imagine this on Spinosaurus. One swing is like a 9 ton swing. Which is overkill.
As much as i adore rexy, it couldn't lift 1.5 tons with its arms. More in the range of 400 lbs. When did Acro get that estimate? and where? point me to this paper, as well as the lifting capacities of Spinosaurus.
17-18m long and weight 11-13 tons on average
Funny how you find an 'average' when we have two, maybe three decently fossilized individuals. Smells like fanboyism to me.
The size of Spinosaurus has been argued for decades now. Nothing has been disproven, and nothing has really been credibly pronounced forward.
In this case, Spino is on a different league.
Again, smells like fanboyism to me. You seem intent on hyping a creature we have so little knowledge about, with your so called 'facts' that you have not given a source for what so ever.
Nice attempt but I think it's time to post the scientic estimates.
That seemed a tad bit unnecesary.
You apparently did your math wrong.
I never stated i did the math on that, seems like you read it wrong.
A sub-adult Suchomimus was 11m long ans weight 4-5 tons. It's very possible it still grew larger
Plausible, yet they haven't found a whole lot of Sucho remains. Also, that's a pretty large subadult. Can you show me a paper stating it was a subadult animal? I find isometrically scaling off of an extant relative such as suchomimus to be rather troubling, even incorrect at times.
Here's an example;
I really hate experiments that are biased towards "over-liberal" estimates. I think some people here are too optimistic with liberal estimates. I am not defender of consevative ones.
Gorgosaurus holotype's twelft dorsal vertebrae (150 mm) is only 11 mm shorter than in T. rex specimen AMNH 5027 (161 mm). Despite this Tyrannosaurus was around ~12 m, while this Gorgosaurus only 8.25 m.
So the Gorgosaurus would be ~11 m in length based on this T. rex dorsal.... eghhh no thanks. Even based on modest Henderson's 10.7 m, it would be almost 10 m. That's doesn't make sense. Why would it make any sense what so ever to do this with Spinosaurus?
Another tyrannosaurid comparison, The largest Known Daspletosaurus specimen is 9 meter long and has a 1.04 meter long skull, scaling from it you can estimate the largest Tyrannosaurus up to 13.1 meters! when scaling from Gorgosaurus which has a 9 meter long body and a 99 cm long skull you can estimate the body of FMNH PR 2081 up to 13.8 meters. Consensus: Do not scale isometrically from smaller taxa despite how related is it to the larger animal.
feel honored one of my fights made this list, especially so high and next to Dinofights... all of these sport exceptional writing. Great job every body!

Huza, Another Mac user who knows the same problems.
I've been working off of my Mac Book pro since I got it... Some time ago...? Almost a year or two now, But I've tried getting many games not designed for this platform on here.
Now, I do know of some things, There is over a thousand different downloads you can use to try and get one of your listed games.
DON'T EVEN TRY.
I've actually gotten a virus from one of the downloads that certainly F**ked up my Mac, Nothing too serious, I managed to find the virus and remove it. But this is something thats really difficult to do.
I know a few things you may be able to do:
1. Convert your mac over to a Windows Software, This is something that can be done, But is super difficult and can destroy your mac completely if done incorrectly.
2. Sometimes you can download the game, From a disc version.
3. Use Mac Boot camp, This is something that if I'm correct was created by Apple. I've never personally used it, But I've heard both good, and bad things from it.
4. If you are really heart set on playing these games, Maybe look into investing into a Windows.
Because Windows is a system that's easy to create and use games, It's got more games on it then there should be.
Within the coming future, Especailly in the JP Franchise, There should be more Mac compatible games, as the last JP Game released, was compatible with Mac and Windows. (Jurassic Park: The game). This isn't a solid promise, But it seems logical.
This Last bit is important.
Enjoy JPOG?
DinoSteve93, A member of our very own forum is apart of a new Free fan game, That works off of the same Logic, Set up and style as JPOG.
The game is called: Prehistoric Kingdom
The game is currently in Dev, But is fairly well along. I suggest you give them a looksie.

Sadly, Mac is the best OS For not getting Viruses and such, However, This limits it's ability to some games, As it's a bit more difficult to create games compatible with macs Software.
Don't worry bud, There's still plenty of games with dinosaurs in them for mac.
We just have to wait.

Honestly, I'm fine with TLW, it's JP3 that Bugs me, for so many reasons. First of all, IMO spino was a terrible choice for a villian, for many reasons (fish eater, almost useless teeth) I myself would have preferd a Giganotosaurus, Carcharadontosaurus or even a Allosaurid of some kind for multiple reasons.
There pack hunters, instead of a one on one battle it could have been a 3 vs 1. Making the rex fans less disappointed and it would avoid controversy. And there similar to rex, but, not the same. They have a different bulid, different looking skull, faster.
And don't get me started on the plot.. It was terrible to say the least, almost no character devlopment.
There so many inconsistencies, spino can destroy a plane, a massive stell fence but, his weakness is WOOD! Trees and wooden doors are immune to the spinosaurus, if they ever recreate a Spinosaurus, and if I get to see it I'm bringing a stick for protection.
Honestly the biggest problem for ME with the movie is that pretty much evreything in that movie, Jack Horner decided. IMO, the only reason he's so famous is that he discovred sevral rex skeltons, a dinosaur he hates, for some unknown reason.
don't buy stomping land
