Good idea incorporating upcoming dinosaurs. Perhaps the teams will switch to favorite/best main carnivore aka Tyrannosaurus rex, Spinosaurus, Velociraptor, and the upcoming "scary" predator.

Hahaha, love to see the teams making more of impact! I'm also letting all you JP / Dino fanatics know that since I've knocked a few projects off my plate recently, to expect a Team RAPTOR option soon. I've been requested by quite a few members and there was even a forum petition on here not too long ago asking for one. So, expect to see a Team Raptor option soon! Also - the teams may change or expand depending on what new Dinosaurs are present in Jurassic World!

I'm not meaning to discredit your writing but in regards to the Spinosaurus attacking the Navy the result is far from accurate. You have at least three platoons of marines that's about +16 men per platoon with one or two toating an LMG, three or four amphibious assault vehicles each equipped with 40mm cannons (any of you who have played COD will know what that is). Not to mention you have two Black hawk helicopters hovering in support and usually come equipped with a Bushmaster mini-gun. They way I see it going down. -Spino lumbers into the beach - Marines give the order to fire - Assault vehicles let loose with 40mm cannons and tear huge holes in Spinosaurus flanks while both Blackhawks unleash a steady stream of mini-gun fire. - The combined assault would drop the Spino in less the 30 seconds if it didn't have the brain to run away. Key thing is the Assault Vehicles just one round can usually tear through a decently armored vehicle so flesh is nothing but paper to these things.

I must agree with a bite of around 4 tons. It is more than twice athe size of a saltwater crocodile, and they have a bite of around 2 tons. Scale the fact that size matters with bite in crocodile world, and you have a redonculusly strong bite force.

Oh, and I fogot to say, I like both plots, but I think that this one could use some work. Form what I know, there isn't much time in the jungle, needs more jungle time

Well, as I fight writer, I probably shouldn't get involved in this, but what the heck. Why not. Okay, so here are Spinosaurus' advantages Spinosaurus: long and powerful arms, long and sharp claws Longer skull and powerful neck Powerful bite (4-5 t) Heavier and taller Can get up if knocked on its side Stronger (when you have a giant muscular ridge on your back from neck to tail tip, you're strong as hell) Intimidating muscular ridge Possibly some sort of armor (dealt with crocodiles and sharks daily) Swimming ability Way more experience fighting large carnivores (Bahariasaurus, Sauroniops, Sarcosuchus, Carcharodontosaurus, etc.) Possibly reflexes (catching fish flying down a stream requires amazing precision and timing) Now T. Rex's advantages More powerful bite (6-6.5 vs 4-5 t) Deadlier teeth (thicker and serrated) Possibly agility (didn't have the sail, but it did have a restricting short body with wide hips, so this may not be an advantage) Better sense of smell (perhaps the best ever) Possibly better hearing Handled deadly prey (Triceratops, Ankylosaurus) Both had excellent depth perception and intelligence, so those X factors don't come into play. I won't voice my opinion on the outcome, I just stated unbiased and supportable advantages each has.

Jp3 would have been even better if it had raptors killing Spino.

I saw that this post was active, so I thought I'd join in for fun. I do think that when it came down to Spino vs T. rex, it would, be very, very even. A little bit on Rex's favor though. If it was Oxalaia vs rex, then it would be different. Okay, its 1 ton less than Spino, and 10 feet shorter, but it lived in the most dangerous place in dinosaur history, and you can't deny that. Argentina was literally crawling with carnivores, and the only food to eat is Titanosaurs. You have to be tough or food.

What get's me is that this is one of my first discussions ever and it's still kicking, haha My first discussion was about Tyrannosaurus. Nothing more. Just T-rex, haha

And that's why Oxalaia is the best Spinosaur. Jk, that is Sigilmassasaurus. I know that this really doesn't relate to Spino vs Oxalaia, but the Argentinian was the second biggest predator of the time, and not the deadliest either. It was a more land based Spinosaur, and was porprotionatly as heavy as Spinosaurus, if not heavier.

I think I can do that. It might not be great, but it'll be more creative than JP 3.

The statement that Tyrannosaurus did not have competition is actually not too truthful. While Nanotyrannus was probably not a problem, a large pack of raptors might at least present a mild problem. Not to mention T-rex had it's own version of Sarcosuchus aka Deinosuchus. Just a thought.

I was debating on weather or not to respond, but I got bored. @ penguinsaurusrex Bigger isn't always better. Spinosaurus may be larger (in terms of length and height, and probably weight), but it just wasn't built for combat, in my (and a few others) opinion. Sure, Spinosaurus lived with Charcarodontosaurus, but the difference in their diets allowed for them to co-exist. Rex on the other hand, while it didn't have competition from other large carnivores, it's prey was more than enough to fill that slot. I'm not going to get into facts, if you really want to see pretty much anyone's opinion on how it would go, please refer to previous discussions.

Like I said, the sequel is never as good. That's a good idea too. Forgot about the kid that tried to release Rexy. Now I have ideas for a third one. Dunno if I should do so or not, but now I'm considering making up a third one.

twas nice, Didn't quite have the say oomph of the first one. it was a nice touch with muldoons wife (I think it would make for a nice uh... shit whatever idea? if the kid that let rexy out was muldoons son XD) I hope the movies follow something like this... it would make them a bit better

The carnotaurus has always been one of my favorite dinos. And also one of my favs in The Lost World. They only way I'd be happy with him to be in it, is if they do it the way in the book. With his super chameleon camoflauge

That would have been a good idea DinoFights. It was Rexy's meat that the Spinosaurus tried to take, and it was in Rexy's paddock too though. Lets just say it was in Rexy's favour because the tranquilizers were starting to get to the Spino.

Hahaha the Dennis Nedry part made me laugh. Being that Spino won the first match and T. rex won the last fight, I would have hoped the Spinosaurus and Rexy match ended in a stalemate, but it was a good plot nonetheless. I see it taking place in an alternate timeline for sure, as my DinoFights series does.

Not bad. I saw a Planet Dinosaur tribute that was pretty good. But this one was good too. They should have used a better roar at the end though. The WWD one is ok, but I think the JP Rex roar or the Dinosaur Planet Daspletosaurus roar would be a better choice.

Yes, quite clever. Maybe they'll find his remains mixed with a Dilophosaurus skeleton. Kinda like those dinosaur skeletons that show their last meal ;)

Very well done. A great sequel. Gives the Spino fans the Spinosaurus screen time they want and T-rex the respect it still deserves. Plus the raptor fans are content being that they get to have raptors. PS- Nice addition with Muldoon's wife ;)
