New Sauropod Discovery!

The new dinosaur, Qijianglong (Chi-jyang-long) is a new Chinese sauropod fifteen meters long, almost half of which is the creature's neck. The discovery of this dinosaur shows the possibility of diversity between mamenchisaurs, sauropods esclusive to Asia. What makes this discovery so astounding is that the head was still attatched. Sauropod heads usually fall off because of the size compared to the neck.

Nice find! I love the picture and it is always good to find new dinosaurs that were actually alive before us, we just didn't know. 

And yeah, the neck... 0_0

seems like a standars mamenchisaur to me...i'll write more on this thread when i get my hands on the description paper
