MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 10:17 AMHowdy all!
Now, I know it's just the 15 Second Teaser, But it gives us some Great insight on what to expect.
Altough it is only 15 seconds, it can still be Reviewed and explained.
Now, I'm a little Disapointed with Universal on this. As I stated a long time ago, They were taking on a little Too Much CGI for the Jurassic franchise... My comment was met with much anger, But I do stand by it.
As you can see. Almost all of the Rides are, Inded, CGI. Which is understandable in some parts, And in others is just a little... Weird.
For Example:
The Gyrosphere.
We've known about it since about mid july with a Brochure leak.
Obviously, It doesn't exist, Because to create something like that, Would require a lot of money... Money and time Universal did not have.
But Personally, Instead of going out of the way to make something "Futuristic" why not just go with something that Already Exists... Like the Tour Jeeps?
Granted, There is such things as Gyro spehres today, but they're no where as advanced as that.
And then... There's the Park gates... The Crowning Acheivement that everyone Remembers from the First JP... So... Why is it not so Memborale here? I mean, CGI For it was probably eaiser, As, It appears everything beyond the gate is CG too... But why not Just Build a Real one? Everyone enjoyed it in the first film?
Overall...
I enjoyed the trailer, It was good. However, I feel they used a little too much CGI On this, Instead of using alternative methods. *Kinda like the New Star wars, Where CG was only used in Shots they couldn't film*
Now. I'll move on to Explanation.
In the First Shot with the Park gates, It's on the Jurassic Monorail, You can clearly see the Hotel and Main visitor Centre Set up behind the gates... Suggesting that the Leaked Concept art of the JW Hotel and such is Accurate and is All CG, With complete white Pristine Buildings.
*It would appear as if the Concept art was Deleted a couple months ago*
In Shot 2, We see A flock of Galiminus (Presumed?) Running along Side a Safari Vehilce.
In shot 3, Imeadiatley following Shot 2, We see The GyroSphere with our Two young Actors riding alongside an Apotasaur.
Shot 4, Appears to be in the Upgraded Control room, It appears that 21216 People are in the Park.. Oh? Whats this... A large "RESTRICTED AREA" To the North... Why oh Why?
Is that supporting my Theory on the Wild Dinosaurs not being captured?
Shot 5, Is Chris Pratt dressed up in the New Rendition of Muldoon. I'd like to see where he takes this. With his stellar Preformance of Star Lord I'm kinda excited.
Shot 6 Is the New JW Logo Fading out... Not much to it.
Followed by Legal stuff...
Now, It Appears another Fan has already done a Comparison using Gifs.
Lets look!
Side by side Comparison.
Credit to http://jurassiraptor.tumblr.com/post/103380776497/jurassic-park-jurassic-world-shot-comparison For the Awesome Comparisons.
So...
Comparing it to the 1993 Teaser Trailer *You can practically smell the VHS On this old Clip*
Firstly, 1993 Knew what they were doing. A fairly interesting clip. Certainly Brings back the old Touch of Ninetys Television and Cinema definatley.
It's not quite as Packed as the New one... But Its a teaser... It's not supposed to have much.
Here's the Current Teaser for JW. Much more Packed... And shorter..
So,
What do you think of the new Teaser?
I'll be posting a Follow up Post when the trailer drops.

MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 10:25 AMI would disagree with you on the CGI but that's just me and what I like. Overall I loved it so much! Great post!

AdminAllosaurusNov-23-2014 10:42 AMThe original JP was so special I think in part because of the CGI, it was so new at the time and well done that the effect was just stunning. The new trailer has a sorta nostalgia effect with me anyways.

MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 11:35 AMit looks good but it doesnt have much of the jp feel. the color on the dinosaurs seems lacking

MemberAllosaurusNov-23-2014 12:38 PMIt does have a bit too much CGI, but are you really surprised?
Even then, remember from Jurassic Park that even in the novel it said Jurassci Park had technology there that was extremely advanced (At that time). They had computers that costed thousands of dollars, 26,000 if I remember correctly. Even then at that time money was worth way more back then. SO I really wouldn't be surprised that they could affor gyro balls, I think it's a nice touch.
Even then in the novel it said the logo was blue and there was gonna be a safari ride, so...
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!

MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 12:41 PMWell we can all expect a lot of CGI I suppose so it's a good thing I like it! Haha! But I mean, it is a modern big budget, sci-fi flick so its inevitable. Maybe it will be a good thing, just maybe, and I think it's perhaps too early to judge yet.

MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 12:51 PMPaden I agree with you. The trailer is amazing however almost everything (like you said) is CGI. I would have liked to have seen actual animatronics like a real park gate, but sadly movies aren't really made like that anymore. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we do get some animatronics and things like that.
The giant gate that read Jurassic Park was ruined. The gates where torn off and their where pieces of them all over the ground. Muldoon saw herbivore foot prints maybe Parasaurs or the Trike herd W
Lord of the Spinosaurs
MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 1:09 PMNice, I really hope Spinosaurus comes back. I know its not gonna be the main antagonist (D-rex is), infact I dont want it to be the main antagonist, but maybe Spinosaurus can have its own exhibit or atleast a cameo. And if it does comeback I want to see it updated with the new skeleton recently announced, Though I do know Baryonx and Suchomimus will be in the movie. I do hope Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor, and Spinosaurus (if it comes back) attack people atleast once just as a throwback to the original trilogy.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-23-2014 1:45 PMX_PADEN_X - Your post was very neat! I Happen to feel that we don't yet have quite enough information to determine whether or not there will be an overabundance of CGI, though it did seem that there was quite a lot in the trialer. as for the restricted area: I happen to think that your theory concerning the wild dinosaurs is going to be validated in spades! I can't bloody wait for the actual trailer! :)

MemberAllosaurusNov-23-2014 2:18 PMNice explanation of the teaser. :)
I agree that a bit too much CGI was used. The gates could've been real, but the dinosaurs pretty much had to be CGI. (i.e. a running flock of Gallis and an Apatosaurus)

MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 2:38 PMPersonally i think you all expect too much. Its a teaser.
Its the 21st centary and cgi is inevitable. Be happy we have a film. The dinosaurs looked great and so did the gyrosphEre And chris pratt looked badass!!!! It was 15 seconds long and half of the world already wishes this place was real. Be thank full !
More excitment please less criticism

Truer words have never been spoken.
It's basic human Nature to Critique, To complain, To correct.
All I am stating, Is that I wish the Film had been executed a little... Differently...
It could have Hand puppets for all I care.
I've been greatly concerned about the CG element of this for a long time. As well as the Believablitiy.
Now, Some of you have already called me out on this, More so Raptor-401.
About how it's supposed to be Futuristic.
Indeed, It is.
However, If you ever Researched into it a little more, The Technology in the First film, Did exist.
The technology in the book was fickle, But it was Researched and thought was put behind it. (Some of the Computers could be out classed by a Modern Mac book.)
In the Twentieth Century, We went From Fighting in Trenches, To fighting Thousands of Miles apart from eachother. We went from the First Fraglie Steps of Flight, To the Edge of the Earth.
We went from No Idea of what Genetics was, To being able to Clone Livestock...
Realism, Is what I'm looking for.

MemberCompsognathusNov-24-2014 3:34 AMPaden, a little less than a week ago you said: Its not a trailer its a teaser. When i was saying that the countdown was to a trailer. Now there's proof that its going to be a trailer not a teaser.
You also said that if it would be a trailer, it would mean that the movie is weeks from release.
What do you say now?

MemberCompsognathusNov-24-2014 11:30 AMHey all,
To address your comment about the use of the gryroscopes instead of the old jeeps and tour vehicles, I don't think we have to look any further than the limitations they presented in the first movie. First, on the tour, the first two dinosaurs were no shows to the jeeps (the dilo and the Rex). I think the gyro offers a valid solution to that problem, at least for the dinosaur enclosures. It appears that the gyro allows you to enter the paddocks and habitats of the dinosaurs to get up close to them without risking driving past the front of their enclosures and missing them if they aren't near the fence. I'm not saying it's a perfect solution, but I think they're better than just a jeep for that purpose. They probably wouldn't stick you in a gyro in a T-Rex enclosure, but for some of the more docile dinos, it's a fantastic option.
There's also been rumblings the the gyro is a crucial part of the film's plot. I've heard from one source that the the main kids' gyro is disabled by an ankylosaurus and they have to strike out on foot, possibly in that restricted zone seen in the teaser. In the 45 seconds of leaked early trailer footage, Pratt's character is holding a gun and says something along the lines of "It's like taking a walk in the woods, 65 million years ago." I believe this is in reference to him having to go out to that restricted zone and find those two kids while the D-Rex is loose out there.
Like I said, this is all conjecture, but I LOVE analyzing and scrutinizing little details, so prepare for a long ass post about the trailer when it comes out on Thursday. :)
Happy Parking :)

MemberCompsognathusNov-24-2014 12:05 PMI'm sorry to say this, but the CGI discussion in this thread just comes across as knee-jerk conjecture and complaining about a film no one has seen yet.
