Anyway, now for the fight.

Phantom

Phantom is a two and a half ton Albertosaurus. He's as experienced as they come by Albertosaurus standards. One of the few fights he's ever lost was to an Allosaurus, while the other losses are against predators exceeding five tons in weight.

Razor

Razor is a three ton Allosaurus. He's experienced in combat, and he's the only predator under five tons in weight to have ever defeated Phantom, but a nearby Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus contributed to Phantom's defeat.

Begin!

Phantom had just found an ideal territory. It was the side of a volcano. The slopes were too steep for predators much larger than himself, there were trees everywhere, and herbivores were everywhere. There was even a stream that ran down the side. Phantom was standing at the highest point, looking into the crater for a minute. Molten rock bubbled a few hundred feet down. Phantom turned and walked to where the slope began and roared, claiming the territory as his own, not thinking another predator was around.

Razor heard the roar, and he thought it was familiar. He didn't think it was possible, but he had seen stranger events before. He stood up and started walking to the source. Walking uphill on the slopes was difficult, but he heard it come from the top. He reached the top, and he saw an all too familiar foe. It was indeed Phantom. Razor wasn't sure how Phantom survived, because when he last saw him, Phantom was being chased by the two largest predators on the island.

Phantom had his back turned to Razor. He was knocking rocks into the volcano, watching them melt when they hit. He shuddered at the thought of what would happen if something fell in. Razor started trying to get close to Phantom and simply shove him down, but a screeching Pterosaur alerted Phantom. Phantom turned around, and he roared at his long time rival. They walked in circles, flashing their teeth and snarling as they did, both already pissed. Phantom barely escaped the super predators with his life after he was knocked into a river, and Razor had later on lost the territory to a pack of Albertosaurus.

Both flashed their teeth, and it had become apparent to Razor that Phantom wasn't as careful as he used to be, missing a few teeth, and he had more scars than just the ones that he gave him. In fact, there wasn't a section of Phantom's body that didn't have a scar of some sort. Phantom mock charged, and Razor took a step back. Phantom charged, and Razor sidestepped. He bit Phantom's neck and started pushing him towards the crater. Phantom knew what Razor was doing, and he dropped to the ground. Razor lurched forward and lost his grip, tripping over Phantom as he stumbled forward.

Phantom stood up and looked at Razor. Razor was a few inches from the edge, and starting to stand up. Phantom hopped from foot to foot in anticipation, itching to shove Razor into the crater, but first he wanted to give him a false sense of security. Razor glanced over at Phantom. He could tell Phantom was excited for something, and he knew what it was too. This time though, it was his turn to have the home turf advantage, and he jumped down onto a ledge in the crater. Phantom walked over and looked down, and he saw Razor running along the edge. He hissed, and he watched as Razor went up a slope. Razor roared, challenging Phantom to come and get him.

Phantom roared, and then he jumped down and went to where Razor was. When he got there, he didn't see Razor anywhere. He looked down, and there was a gradual slope, flat enough a sauropod could easily walk up it. Phantom saw a few footprints in the dirt, and he looked to where they went. They went into a few bushes, and then there was nothing. Phantom turned around, and Razor, was standing where he had been a few seconds ago. Phantom jumped back from surprise, and he ended up rolling down the hill. Razor roared in victory, and he continued watching Phantom.

Phantom bounced off a few trees before stopping on the trail. He stood up, shook off some of the dirt, and started walking down the hill, accepting the fact that he had just been defeated. He rounded the corner, and nearly had a heart attack when he saw what was making their way up the hill. It was the Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus. Phantom turned and ran back up the hill, and the super predators roared.

Razor had turned and started walking to where he usually sleeps when he heard the roars, and he looked down the hill to see Phantom running full speed back up the hill. He was about to roar when the Tyrannosaurus came around the corner, quickly followed by the Spinosaurus. Razor turned around and ran to the opposite side of the crater before hiding on the slope. Meanwhile, Phantom had went onto the ledge in the crater.

The Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus reached the top, and the Spinosaurus had Razor's scent while the Tyrannosaurus had Phantom's. The Tyrannosaurus walked into the crater, walking along the ledge. Unfortunately for him, he was too heavy, and the ledge quickly started to crumble away. He stopped and started backing off, but it was too late. The rock gave out and crumbled down into the magma below, bringing the Tyrannosaur with it. He roared all the way down, but it was cut off by a splash, followed by the sound of burning flesh.

Razor looked up when he heard the Tyrannosaurus roar, and he saw the Spinosaurus coming for him. He backed off further down the slope. The Spinosaurus got to the edge, and he roared at Razor. Razor roared back and backed further down the slope. The Spinosaurus gently placed a foot on the slope, and some rock tumbled down. He put his foot back on solid ground, and Razor roared again, mocking the Spinosaurus.

Meanwhile, Phantom was trying to find an escape. He was stuck on the ledge, and the jump would be almost forty feet. He looked up, and he would have to jump at least fifty feet to get up. He decided to try to jump over where the Tyrannosaurus had fallen. He got a running start, and he jumped for the opposite side. He didn't quite make the jump, and he dug in with his hand claws to the ground, and into the side with his foot claws. He managed to pull himself up after several minutes of struggling, and he went up to the top. He looked and saw the Spinosaurus roaring at Razor. Phantom growled, and he glanced at the scar on his thigh.

Phantom charged at the Spinosaurus, jumping onto his back. The Spinosaurus lurched forward when Phantom hit, and he was quickly on the slope. Phantom jumped off, and both him and Razor watched as the Spinosaurus rolled and bounced down the hill, leaving a path of cleared trees, blood and torn skin all the way to the bottom.

Razor looked at Phantom and prepared to attack. Phantom wasn't ready to start fighting again. He was on a high from what he just did to the Spinosaurus, but Razor biting his neck brought him back to reality. Phantom freed himself, and he roared at Razor. Both were ready to kill each other now, and there was nothing that was going to stop one of them from emerging victorious. They looked each other in the eye as they growled and flashed their teeth.

Phantom quickly took a few steps back and charged. Razor stepped into it, and they were both standing at their full height, chest to chest, neck to neck, pushing each other. Neither was gaining ground, but Razor tried slashing Phantom's back. Phantom roared, and while his arms were too short to slash Razor, they were close enough that he maneuvered his arms directly in front of him and he gave a quick push. Razor took a step back, and before he even realized what just happened, Phantom had lunged at him, biting his neck.

Razor slashed Phantom's face before any real damage could be done, and Phantom backed off. Razor didn't give Phantom time to plan another attack, and he rushed forward. Phantom jumped out of the way, and he turned around and waited for Razor to make a move. Razor turned around, and he charged again. Phantom jumped over Razor, and Razor turned around again, ready to charge, and expecting Phantom to jump again. When Phantom turned around, Razor charged again. Phantom charged too, and he lowered his head as Razor reared up. Phantom slammed shoulder first into Razor's gut, and Razor hit the ground hard.

Razor looked up at Phantom and coughed up some blood. Phantom had kept going and was only just making his way back now. Phantom picked up the pace when he saw Razor starting to get up, but it was too late. Razor was back on his feet, and he shoulder blocked Phantom. Phantom hit the ground, and Razor bent down to finish the fight. Phantom was fast though, and he kicked Razor's legs out from under him and stood up. Phantom jumped, ready to land on Razor, but Razor rolled over and kicked him away. Phantom landed on his side, but he was up just as quickly as he was knocked down.

Phantom had his back turned to Razor when he stood up, and he started running as he turned around. He didn't see that Razor was back up, and he ran right into his jaws. Razor bit Phantom's head and started pushing him. Phantom roared and shook his head, trying to get out of Razor's grip, but it only brought his teeth deeper. Phantom went limp after a minute, and Razor let go. He looked at Phantom, and he backed off and then roared.

Razor turned around, and as he was starting to walk away, he felt a searing pain in his left ankle. He turned to look at his attacker, and Phantom was biting him. Razor kicked Phantom in the head, and Phantom let go. Razor turned to finish Phantom off for good, but Phantom had already rolled out of the way and was getting up. Razor lunged for Phantom's head, but Phantom ducked. When Razor was above Phantom, Phantom reared up, lifting Razor off the ground and knocking him off balance. Phantom turned to face Razor, and Razor was standing next to the edge. He looked at Phantom, and he roared before jumping down onto the ledge inside the crater. Phantom walked to the edge, and he looked down at Razor. Razor roared, challenging Phantom to come down and get him. Phantom roared, and he jumped down.

Razor lunged for Phantom, but Phantom had expected it and he was ready to counter. He kicked Razor in the head, and he landed on his feet. Razor stepped back a few steps, and Phantom looked him in the eye. Both knew the other well by now, and this would be where the battle ended.

Both charged, and Razor's weight advantage was obvious. Razor shoved Phantom into the crater wall, and when he stepped back, Phantom hit the ground. Razor jumped to finish Phantom, but Phantom was quick to recover. He rolled over and stood up out of Razor's way. When Razor landed, Phantom charged, slamming him into the wall. Razor stayed on his feet, and he mock charged. Phantom jumped back, but it wasn't much of a reaction. Razor charged, and Phantom sidestepped. Phantom bit Razor's neck and started trying to push him, but Razor pushed back, and when Phantom lost grip, he stumbled dangerously close to the edge. Phantom lost his footing, and he fell over the edge, but he managed to get some grip with his claws. Razor looked at him, and he saw Phantom was trying to get back up. Razor walked over and looked him dead on the eye. He was going to enjoy pushing Phantom to his death.

Phantom looked at Razor, and Razor was dragging it out. He thought he knew Phantom was screwed, so he was taking it slow, mocking him. When Razor's head was close enough, he bit Razor's snout and put as much force on as he could. If he was going down, he was taking Razor down with him. Razor jumped back from the surprise and pain, but he landed on his gut because Phantom held on. Razor struggled to free himself, but Phantom's grip was way too strong for him to get free, and he was slowly pulling Phantom back up. Phantom felt himself getting pulled up, and he went along with it. Phantom got some footing, and when he was back on solid ground, he let go and roared.

Razor looked at Phantom, but he wasn't as confident as he once was. It didn't seem to matter what happened, Phantom came back every time. Razor couldn't move his jaws without it hurting, so he was going to have to make do without biting. Phantom saw Razor's confidence loss, and he gained some. He charged, and Razor sidestepped. Phantom turned and charged again, but this time, Razor shoved him head first into the crater wall. Phantom hit the ground hard, and Razor walked over to finish him. Razor put a foot on Phantom's chest, and this time, didn't plan on dragging it out. Phantom saw what was coming, and he rolled. Razor lost his balance momentarily, but it was enough. He went to step on Phantom again, but Phantom bit his leg. Razor roared in pain as Phantom stood up, and when Razor started falling back, Phantom let go. Razor stumbled back, and he didn't have time to react as Phantom rammed him full force.

Phantom stood at the edge, watching Razor fall. Phantom waited for Razor to hit the bottom, and he bounced off a few rocks on his way down. Phantom was a little disappointed to see Razor didn't survive to the landing, but he was satisfied with the victory. He looked at the jump, and he ran at it. He cleared the gap, and exited the crater. When he got to where he wanted to get, he roared, claiming the territory as his own.

Winner......... Phantom

It was an even fight to the bitter end. Neither had experience over the other, and Razor's slight size advantage was countered by Phantom's slight agility advantage.
