I'm going to state this now in order to avoid problems, this list doesn't mean that certen family's of dinosaurs are "better" then others, it simply means that they were more successful in their environment.

10. Therizionsaurs

Therizinos

These dinosaurs were highly specialized, they are some of the few theropods that aren't carnivores. They seemed to be very rare as well as the were limited to the end of the cretaceous.

9. Ankylosaurs

Ankylosaurus

These animals were the most heavily armoured dinosaurs that we have so far discovered. Although it appears that they didn't have many animals in this family and they seemed to not be very common. They lived in the cretaceous.

8. Stegosaurs

Stegosaurs

The Stegosaurids are the attacking Ankylosaurs. Unlike their later cousins they were bulit to kill. Their tail spikes are some of natures deadliest weapons. They lived from the jurassic to the early cretaceous.

7. The Titanosaurs

Argentinosaurus

These were the last and biggest of the sauropods. They were the biggest land animals to ever live. Animals like Alamosaurus and Aregentinosaurus could have been over 100 feet long.

6. Ceratopsians

Trike

These are the warriors of the cretaceous. They had frills with horns. They lasted thought most of the cretaceous. They also had to deal with all kinds of predators

5. Spinosaurs

Spino

These were some of the most unique dinosaurs. They were the only proven to live off fish. Of course they weren't limited to to the water but, spent most of their time their. They lived through the early to mid cretaceous.

4. Tyrannosaurs

T.rex

These dinosaurs were very specialized in hunting heavily armoured prey. They lived through the late cretaceous, they were some of the last dinosaurs.

3. The Allosaurs/Carcharadontosaurs

Giga

These were some of of the largest and most succsessful theropods. They lived from the jurassic to the start of the late cretaceous. They were generalized which was probably the reason for their succsess.

2. Dromeosaurs

Raptor

The Dromoesaurs or raptors, were the smartes of the dinosaurs. They were IMO the most advanced theropods. If it weren't for the KT extinction it's possible that they would have become the dominate species.

1. The Hadrosaurs

Hadrosaur

Some may be surprised that the Hadrosaurs are at number one but, if you think about they were by far the most succsessful dinosaurs. They lived on every continent exsept Antartica. They were also the most common dinosaurs fossils of them are found evrey day. they also had a evolutionary edge, they had thousands of tightly packed teeth so they could grind up vegititon faster then the other herdivores.

IMO, the Allosaurs/ Carcharodontosaurs would be number one in this list, mainly because they Diversified and thrived until the mid/late cretaceous.

Cretaceous Allosaurs being the Neovenatoridae, many people are shocked to realize that there were allosaurs in the cretaceous, evidently thinking they all died out at the end of the Jurassic. When, in reality, they became larger and more generalized, though still possessing the sauropod killing characteristic of the Allosaurs.

All in all, i agree with this list. Good job

That may be true, but they didn't have nearly the diversity or numbers the hadrosaurs did. The hadrosaurs outnumbered the allosaurs 3 to 1.
