MemberCompsognathusAug-28-2014 5:35 PMSpinosaurus
Spinosaurus is a genus of Spinosaur which lived in North Africa duringthe Cretaceous period, about 112 to 97 million years ago. This genus was first known from Egyptian remains discovered in 1912 and described in 1915. The original remains were destroyed in World War II, but additional material has come to light in recent years. It is unclear whether one or two species are represented in the fossils reported in the scientific literature. The best known species is S. aegyptiacus from Egypt, although a potential second species S. maroccanus has been recovered from Morocco. Spinosaurus may be the largest of all known carnivorous dinosaurs, possibly larger than Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus. Estimates published in 2005 and 2007 suggest that it was 12.6 to 18 metres (41 to 59 ft) in length and 7 to 20.9 tonnes (7.7 to 23.0 short tons) in weight.
Acrocanthosaurus
Acrocanthosaurusis a genus of theropoddinosaur that existed in what is now North America during the Early Cretaceous. Like most dinosaur genera, Acrocanthosaurus contains only a single species, A. atokensis. Its fossil remains are found mainly in the U.S. states of Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming, although teeth attributed to Acrocanthosaurus have been found as far east as Maryland.Acrocanthosaurus was a bipedal predator. As the name suggests, it is best known for the high neural spines on many of its vertebrae, which most likely supported a ridge of muscle over the animal's neck, back and hips. Acrocanthosauruswas one of the largest theropods, approaching 12 meters (40 ft) in length, and weighing up to 6.2 tonnes (6.8 short tons).

MemberAllosaurusAug-28-2014 5:38 PMI would say Spinosaurs, not trying to be biased.
60-40, favor in Spinosaurs.
I just think Spinosaurus had more advantages due to it's arms. Feel free to prove me right or wrong.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-28-2014 5:42 PM55-45 in Spino's favour. It was larger, and Acro wasn't what you'd call agile. Nonetheless, Acro would probably be able to pull out a win more often than one would think.

MemberCompsognathusAug-28-2014 5:43 PMYeah I'd say 55-45 for spino.

MemberCompsognathusAug-28-2014 5:51 PMusually i'd favor a carnosaur( see what i did there?)
lame joke...
Anyways, Acro would stand a fair chance because it was built to take down animals larger then itself.
Spino has size and and a height advantage, so this would be a close one as well. 55-45 in favor of Spino

MemberCompsognathusAug-28-2014 5:55 PMI actually agree that us was built to take aninals larger. I see it as being extra bulky for a carcharaodintosaurs.

@Tyrant King, Acro was a robust Carcharodontosaur, yes. Is it suprisingly so? not really, As Carcharodontosaurs are heavily built to begin with. The muscular ridge running down Acros back though definetly would have given it some more weight and or/ 'strength' when it was attacking prey.

However, nonetheless, they are still annoying as hell.

MemberTriceratopsAug-28-2014 11:27 PMI think I like Acrocanthrosaurus better then Spino. Just a personal preference, and by the build of it, it does seem like perhaps it may be able to put up a good fight. A good fight that would not allow it to be overpowered overtly quickly at the least.

MemberCompsognathusAug-29-2014 8:46 AMSpino probably pulls out the majority here though, and i' dhave to agree Acro would put up a better fight then say...Allosaurus Amplexus
