MemberCompsognathusJun-30-2014 12:40 PMSo there are a fair amount of dinosaur related books out there. But which are the best? Well, here are my favorites...
Dinotopia
I've read 2 books from this series, Dinotopia: Lost and The Hand of Dinotopia. Both were pretty good. There wasn't a ton of violence, but enough to keep it interesting. I'd suggest trying a few of the stories from this series.
Raptor Red
Still one of my favorite dinosaur books ever, Raptor Red follows the life of a female Utahraptor named Raptor Red. It's very good. It has action, adventure, heartbreak, and sorrow. It's a must read!
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
The sequel to the all time classic Jurassic Park, the Lost World is a must read for dinosaur fans. Not to mention you can't read the first book without reading the sequel. And don't tell me you already saw the movie cause it's not the same ;)
Jurassic Park
Probably the best dinosaur book ever written. Action packed, full of science(well, you know), and great characters. Every bit as good as the movie(although I'm not sure which was better cause both had great qualities), Jurassic Park is one book you have to read before you die(sorry for being so dark, but it's true).
Other books you should read that I haven't yet(still classics and I plan on reading at some point) are The Lost World(original, not JP), Journey To The Center Of The Earth, and The Dinosaur Feather.
Happy reading :)

MemberCompsognathusJun-30-2014 5:53 PManother good one is "Rex Appeal" By Peter Larson, some of the info is a bit outdated but it's a pretty good read.

MemberCompsognathusJun-30-2014 7:22 PMI actually have some of the paintings from dinotopia.
They really are beautiful works of art. Also, with dinotopia, the movie is pretty bad, but the book is great.
