The "Heavy Claw"
Length: 10 meters
Weight: 3 tons
Height: 2.75 meters
Era: Mid Cretaceous
Baryonyx is a mid sized spinosaurid that, unlike other spinosaurs, has a strict diet of large bodied fish. It spends its entire life in the shallow waters of streams and swamps, with the occasional exception to mate or sleep. Baryonyx is remarkably strong, and has been seen lifting 3 meter onchopristis clear out of the water.the bite force is suprisingly weak, however. They use their huge sickle-like thumb claw in aiding catching fish, but it is also a self defense weapon. When there is a severe drought, Baryonyx tends to eat young iguanodon, but this is the only time they ever do. These spinosaurs are hyper territorial and will attack and kill anything that wanders in, but they have never been observed eating their adversary.
Shaochilong
The "Shark toothed dragon"
Length: 10 meters
Weight: 3.5 tons
Height: 2 meters
Era: mid cretacious
An animal kept under wraps by ingen, Shaochilong is an explosive package wrapped into a mid sized carnivore. These animals attack with alarming ferocity, slaughtering 4 keepers at the time of the '93 incident. More then the raptors managed to kill off. They have broken out of their enclosures multiple times, killing in total, 12 humans. These theropods are kept in a high security facility in Jurassic World, their enclosure next to that of D. Rex enables keepers and handlers easy access to the hyper aggressive beasts.
Here we go..
April 14th, 1993
The hapless human was torn to shreds as The female Shaochilong bore down on him. She grabbed him by the arm and proceeded to shake him like a ragdoll. His body was torn away by a second, smaller female.
Under the cover of darkness, the four Shaochilong had escaped their enclosure. Guards posted at each corner stood no chance; the low powered weapons hammond had ordered did little against a mid sized carnivore. Now they were paying for it.
The two female Shaochilong walked stealthily up behind a large bodied man, he had ear phones in and could not hear the soft growling of the voracious theropods. The female bent down and twisted her neck to the side, grabbing the man by the waist and hoisting him into the air. His scream was cut off by the second female tugging away his lower torso. The sickening splatter of organs and blood hit the cement like a mid summer rain, only more gruesome.
The larger female walked away, her hunger not satisfied with these skinny morsels of flesh and bone. She wanted more.
She walked up to a section of electric fencing, placing her teeth on the wires. She tugged away quickly, the white hot sparks shooting out in various directions. She had managed to tear a hole in the fencing, a technique her pack mates had taught her.
Not too far away from her location stood a large, dark shape wading in the estuary. It's formidable claws glinting off the waters surface.
The Baryonyx was one of three originally bred, and now was the last remaining. This male had killed the other two over a course of months, earning the nickname "The Butcher" from the keepers.
He now turned to face the Shaochilong, who he had seen at the fence but payed no attention to. Many birds had fried themselves on the fence; he knew they were dangerous. But now this theropod was in his enclosure, bearing down on him with intimidating speed.
The Baryonyx faced the new rival, his feet moving effortlessly in the brackish water. He hissed a very crocodilian like hiss at the Carcharodontosaur. She went from breakneck speed to a dead stop in the matter of seconds, this unnerved the Baryonyx. He slashed at the air with his claws, inflating his throat pouch in an attempt to make himself look larger.
The Shaochilong growled endlessly, Taking a hesitant step forward, she brandished her lethal looking talons at the spinosaur.
As she took another step, the Baryonyx charged. He bowled the theropod to the ground, slashing at her stomach. His thumb Claw created a massive gash along the Shaochilongs chest. The blood gushed onto the scaly skin, spilling out onto the fertile soil. She kicked out in pure agony, her foot catching the spinosaur in the snout. He grunted in suprise, taking a few steps backwards. The Carcharodontosaur rolled onto her side, exhausted by the ordeal.
She got to her feet and roared at the spinosaur.
"There she is! Shoot her!"
The Shaochilong turned to see four or five men, their guns pointed menacingly at her. And yet, they quivered with fear, she could smell the tension coming off of their bodies. She issued a roar, but turned her attention back to the spinosaur.
"No, hold fire. She's preoccupied with the Spinosaur, let them fight" said Robert Muldoon.
"Get the maintenance crew out here, patch this fence up." His eyes never left the immense creatures. The men exited the enclosure, their guns still trained on the theropods.
The Baryonyx was swiping at the air, his claws stained by the Carcharodontosaurs blood. The Shaochilong rushed forward, colliding head on with the fish eating theropod. She attempted to stop the spinosaur from flailing its arms by pinning it with its own, but a bizarre grappling match insued. The Shaochilong bit desperately at the Baryonyxs' neck, but he thwarted her attacks with every attempt.
The Spinosaur rolled over, gaining the edge on the Carcharodontosaur. She was laying on her back, in a fairly helpless position. She bit upward in desperation, but the Baryonyx silenced her. As her jaws came forward, he buried his enormous thumb claw in the side of her neck. Her head hit the ground, blood gushing from the gruesome wound. The baryonyx got off the vanquished rival, returning to the water with a guttural roar.
"figured that's how that would happen, that Spinosaur is a brute" said Muldoon.
"Hit him with a tranquilizer and call hammond, let him know another animal is dead."

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-03-2014 2:07 PMGood fight. I saw the date, and my first thought was "Oh, when is Muldoon going to appear?" First thought, no joke.

MemberCompsognathusJun-04-2014 6:43 AMAwesome fight. I was rooting for the Baryonyx.
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-04-2014 8:46 AMCARNOSAUR - That was an extremely fun fight to read! I've a question: why did you feel compelled to include other dinosaurs than the ones you slated as the combatants? :)

MemberCompsognathusJun-04-2014 10:44 AMi feel it gives the fight an overall better vibe to it, instead of just going straight into one animal ripping anothers throat out, i like to give backstory, other animals, etc.
Glad you guys liked it!

MemberCompsognathusJun-04-2014 4:27 PMGood fight with a realistic ending after all very little can match a spinosaur in the water.
