MemberCompsognathusMay-18-2014 6:39 PMalright, so to start with..PFG season 3 is gonna be an All request season. You, the reader, can suggest any two animals to throw down. I'll try my best to make it entertaining...
Now, for todays fight..i bring you..
Lythronax vs Eocarcharia
Lythronax
Length: 8.5 meters
Weight: 2.5 tons
Height: 2.5 meters
Usually a mild mannered animal, until it gets hungry. That's where it's name ' king of gore' comes into play. Even the largest spinosaurs are careful around these mid sized tyrannosaurs. Lythronax hunt in family groups, but the males are kicked out by the parents as soon as they get to be sub adults. They are typically black with white splotches over the body. young are covered in a downy fluff while adults have feathers down their back.
Eocarcharia
Length: 8 meters
Weight: 1 ton
Height: 2.2 meters
Like it's larger relative, Eocarcharia is a voracious hunter. They form impromptu packs to take down prey as much as 10x larger then themselves. For the most part however, they are solitary and highly aggresive...especially the mothers when they have eggs. The young stay with their mother for up to two years before striking out on their own. Eocarcharia has a dark brown body with two red crests above the eyes.
And..Begin...
The echoing roar pierced the midday stillness of Isla Nublar. Pterosaurs flocked to the skies, shrieking like demons fresh out of hell.
The female Eocarcharia had made it clear to her offspring; they were no longer welcome. Yet, the little carbon copies of her danced around her immense legs, squawking and chirping in fright. They were pushing three now, big enough to strike it out on their own. She wanted them gone.
She once again tilted her muscular head to the sky, giving out her thunderous howl. Only two took the hint, taking off at break neck speed. One huddled behind a rotted tree stump.
The roars had attracted unwelcome company.
The female Lythronax had been rooting for small rodents when the roar exploded in her ear drums.
It had not come from that far away; she curiously strutted the half a mile out of her way to see the animal responsible for the sound.
The youngsters darted before her feet, running on each side of her.
Her instincts caught on, and she grabbed the nearest one. Her large front fangs pierced the little theropod, hoisting it into the air. She shook it vigourously side to side, then threw the dead animal to the ground.
She quickly went to work, tearing open the stomach cavity. With an impressive heave, she tore the liver out. The squishing sound made her stomach churn, but she really didn't mind. The liver was a prized food item.
Meanwhile, the Eocarcharia had heard the struggling shrieks of her youngster. Even though she had evicted them, her maternal side flickered brightly. She took off at a brisk pace.
The low hanging conifer branches brushed against her reptilian skin, sending chills up her back. She burst through the last stand of trees, into a particular spot with little coverage.
It was there she saw the Lythronax gourging itself on the corpse of its youngster.
She didn't even think; she rushed the apex predator while it was preoccupied.
The king of gore didn't see the dawn shark coming her way. Her eyes only got a seconds glimpse of a reddish brown shape torpedoing in her direction.
The impact sent her falling to the ground, her ribs gave a sickening cracking sound as she impacted with the forest floor.
The female Eocarcharia had gone to disembowel the tyrant, but was kicked away with the flailing struggling the Tyrannosaur was giving off. She found her feet, turning she saw the Eocarcharia. It stood over the corpse of her youngster, giving shallow raspy breathes.
The Tyrannosaur hissed at the Carcharodontosaur; she didn't want to loose her feast. Neither was leaving, not without bloodshed.
The Eocarcharia mother stamped her feet in the freshly pine needle covered forest floor. The Tyrannosaur slowly started to walk around; looking for a weakness. The mother lizard pivoted with every step the Lythronax took, never letting her eyes leave the immense animal before her.
The Tyrannosaur mocked charged; but didn't see the gnarled tree root in front of her. Her taloned foot caught the root, sending her crashing to the ground. The Eocarcharia capitalized, pouncing on the downed king of gore.
She bit down on her neck, exerting 600 pounds of force. Her teeth cracked under the pressure, but she held fast.
The Lythronax had somehow found footing, and pushed the Eocarcharia with all her might. She shoved the maternal beast away, causing her to loose her death grip. She bellowed defiantly at the Eocarcharia; taking a few menacing steps towards the now retreating animal. She walked over to the dead youngster, and scooped it up tentavily with her immense jaws. She took a few cautionary steps back, before turning and running away with her kill.
The Eocarcharia watched as she went, then returned to her nesting site. The one remaining youngster whimpered at it's mothers approach, yet lay next to her when she rested on the small pile of rotting vegitation. It gingerly licked the open laceration on its mothers thigh. The youngster then nuzzled against her broad abdomen, it had been a trying day for all involved..
Winner...you decide!
Writing this...well, it was too damn close to really call. Who do you think won, and why?
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.

MemberCompsognathusMay-19-2014 12:24 PMGreat fight rooting for lythronax but I say eocarcharia wins because it almost killed the lythronax but the lythronax just manage to kick it away
When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Tell life I don't want you're damn lemons, and then squeeze them into life's eyes!
