Aftermath: MaJor General Paden's Story

I stood.

 

Alone.

 

On the top of a hill. My dress blues, waving in the breeze. I removed my dress cap, and set it in my arm. I fingered my Side arm, Contemplating the war.

 

I had competed in the battles that had led up to the decloration... I had fought in space. In pangea...

 

I shook my head, and took my hand off the loaded gun. 

 

The body of Deltadromeus, Had never been found, I assumed we had shot him down. The operation had been concealed, To all but one. The pilots had been sworn to secrecy.  

 

We stood for peace, We will never back down.

 

Behind me, Seven Clones walked up, In uniforms, Each carrying a modified DC-15 Rifles.

 

Regiments of Troopers, Dinosaurs, and civilians followed in their tracks... 

 

I turned around, looking at the crowds of people among me.

 

"Today, We honour those who have fallen... Fallen, From a menace..." I said, Putting my hat back on. "We will never, stand down... We are Peace... We are Freedom, We are all that is right in this world..." 

 

"Honour gaurd!!" I shouted. The clones readied their weapons.

 

I raised my gun into the air... 'We will defend those, Who cannot defend themselves... we will always be ready, vigilant, to those who will harm others'

 

I pulled the trigger. 

 

A red flare launched into the air, Shadowing everything around it. 

 

It exploded into A vibrant Firework. 

 

The Clones Fired. Three times. A total of 21 times. The Dinosaurs Joined in. Spreading the boom of the firework.

 

Around the world, Similar events were happening, DAF Was honouring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Families gathered around fallen family members.

 

Clones gathered around their fallen Comrades... Their Brothers...

 

The Dinosaurs, Gathered at the graves of prehistoric Warriors...

 

"We have heavy hearts, To honour our Brothers in arms... Family... But we will not let such sacrifices happen again..."

 

 

"We will be ready, If we are needed again on the field of war..."
