After Destruction
Terrance and Thorn searched the entire island for any sign of life. They didn't find anything, but they wouldn't give up. They had eaten before the island was destroyed, and they could last another week before needing food.
Two weeks later, Terrance and Thorn were slowly starving. There was nothing on the island but each other, but they knew their time was almost up wether they tried to kill each other or not. It started to get windy, and Terrance knew a large storm was coming. He looked for shelter, but saw nothing and lied down. Thorn got as close to him as possible, and then Terrance curled around her to keep her warm.
Several hours after the storm ended, some boats arrived. Terrance saw them, but he didn't move, he couldn't. People came off the boats and started walking inland, looking for anything that would be a threat before they start construction.
Terrance had his eyes closed, but he could smell people coming. One of the people pointed out Terrance's body, thinking he was dead. They walked to him, and Terrance opened his eyes and looked at the men coming towards him. The men immediately stopped and pointed their rifles at him. Terrance gave a low, weak growl. The men could tell he struggled to even growl at them, and started to walk closer.
One of the men walked around Terrance, and Terrance looked at him and growled again, Thorn still hidden behind his tail. The man walked closer, and Terrance knew that he wasn't going to drive the men off. Terrance struggled to move his tail, and the man saw Thorn.
"Guys, there's a second one, and it's in even worse condition than the big one." "Yeah right, I doubt a T-Rex could hide behind another T-Rex!" "It's a little one, and it's skinny." "So is this big one, looks like he hasn't eaten in weeks." "Neither has this one, it's not even moving at all."
Thorn looked up at the man, and then at Terrance. Terrance looked at Thorn and took a deep breath. Thorn moved closer to Terrance's face, and they both stopped, snouts touching. Thorn fell asleep, and Terrance was almost unconscious. Terrance felt something moist roll down his face, and he looked up before slipping into unconsciousness. There wasn't a cloud in the sky.
