A Special Human

"Alright everyone! I want you to meet our newest member of the Jurassic Park team, Robert Muldoon." "Thanks for the introduction John. I'm Muldoon, I'm going to be the Jurassic Park Game Warden, so I'm going to be watching over the dinosaurs, carnivores mostly. Are there any that have been cloned yet?" "Just one Robert. Rexy! Come!"

At that moment, Thorn opens the door and walks in, and goes to Hammond's side. "This is Rexy, she's a six month old Tyrannosaurus Rex chick, first dinosaur successfully cloned." "Impressive, I will say that, has she harmed anyone yet?" "Figured you'd ask that, and no, she has a bite force about equal to that of a mid sized dog, you'll be fine as long as you wear sleeves." "Alright John, so what do want me to do with her?" "Just follow her around, watch what she does, and write down anything interesting that she does." "Sounds good, what did you do with my shotgun?" "It's been locked up, don't need guns in the lab, and if she attacks you, she is easily overpowered." "I'd feel safer with my shotgun." "You'll be fine, she's friendly, just give her some space." "Fine, but remember, she's going to become a vicious carnivore by the time she's six feet tall." "She's not a vicious carnivore at the moment though, and she is and always will be a scientific miracle."

"Alright Rexy, you can go." Thorn, not understanding English very well, looks at Hammod, confused. He pushed her gently towards the door while saying "go". Thorn was beginning to understand basic commands now, such as come and go.

Thorn walked out of the room, and Muldoon followed. She was interested in him and what he was doing, and she saw that he was following her. She ran away and hid from him, and Muldoon walked around looking for her. When he walked past her, she stepped out and growled. Muldoon turned around and saw her right away, and she looked at him in the eye before turning around and looking for food.

Muldoon followed her again, confused about what just happened. She walked to the meat freezer and waited for Muldoon. When he arrived, she looked at him and then gestured to the door. When he didn't do anything, she started to headbutt the door, and Muldoon went to find Hammond.

"Hey John, Rexy went over to the meat freezer and started head butting the door, what's that about?" "She's hungry, just get a chunk of meat and throw it to her, she doesn't care that it's frozen." "Alright John, whatever you say."

Muldoon walked back to the freezer, and Thorn was still standing there, trying to open the door. "Good luck with that princess, you may be able to use the handles, but the round doorknobs won't give you any grip." Muldoon opened the door, walked in, and came out with a small piece of meat. He threw it to her and she caught it in her mouth, then dropped it and started ripping it to smaller pieces. Muldoon watched, finding it entertaining to watch her ripping at the frozen piece of meat.

When she finished with the meat, she walked around the area again, eventually coming to the door to the lab. She had never been in there before, so she walked over and tried to open the door. Muldoon knew that she wasn't allowed in the lab, so he went and picked her up. After he picked her up, he walked away from the lab, and said, "Not the lab Rexy, not the lab." She knew that he was talking to her because she knew she was Rexy, but she didn't understand the rest. Muldoon set her down and and she walked to where she usually slept, a small room with a mattress and a small light, and went to sleep.

Muldoon walked away and told Hammond she went to sleep. "Alright, why don't you take a break? She likes to walk around the building, and she knows she can get to the rest of it, so she might try to later, just keep her out of the lab." "Alright John, she's not the only one who got tired, I got a good workout too. And about the lab, I already kept her out of there once today." "Really? What happened?" "I picked her up and set her down ten feet away." "You picked her up? Did she attack you?" "No, does she usually attack when someone picks her up?" "Yes, she does actually, doesn't really like it. I guess she likes you." "I guess, she even hid on me and then growled when I walked past her." "She was playing a game, she won." "I guess. You were right about her being friendly. Where's the break room?" "It's over by where Rexy sleeps, that way we can keep an eye on her, even on break." "Sounds good, see you later John." "See you later Robert."
