Dinosaurs and Grass

But fossils from India show that it was around during the Cretaceous. While not common, grass was present when dinosaurs were around. Now the question is, did dinosaurs eat grass? Well, the answer is yes. Sauropod coprolites were also found in India and they have fossil grass in them. Other herbivores likely ate grass when possible as well. Hadrosaurs and ceratopsians could chew their food and likely had no trouble eating grass. Many say that dinosaurs could not survive today because they could not eat grass. It seems like they could. While not as common as it is today, grass was present during the dinosaur era.
