MemberCompsognathusDec-07-2013 10:51 PMHere's a rough top 10 of the best Jurassic Park Franchise characters...
10. Gerry Harding
Harding had a much bigger role in the book and video game, but he still deserves a spot on the list. Being the vet, Harding is in charge of taking care of the dinosaurs' health. Not an easy job.
9. Lex Murphy
Sure she complains a lot, but Lex is one of the main characters from the movie that started it all. She also made a cameo in the second. Lex(and Tim) are probably the most famous kids from JP.
8. Tim Murphy
The Alan Grant wannabe, Tim was instantly likeable. Your classic dino-loving kid. He may have loved them a little less after they tried to eat him though.
7. Roland Tembo
The Lost World's version of Muldoon, Roland Tembo is a no-nonsense big game hunter with the nerve to try and bring down a T-rex. As he said(one of my favorite lines) about T-rex, "Somewhere on this island is the greatest predator that ever lived. Second greatest predator must take him down."
6. Dennis Nedry
Ok, so he shut down the power and let all the dinosaurs out, but you have to admit, Nedry is one funny character. Guess it kind of offsets his stupidity.
5. Ellie Sattler
Sattler is simply one of the most famous characters in Jurassic Park. She was not afraid to live dangerously(walking around the park with raptors on the loose for example), but had enough sense to stay alive.
4. John Hammond
The man that started it all. The darker version of Walt Disney. Call him what you will, John Hammond is easily among the most famous characters from Jurassic Park. He's most famous for his line, "Welcome, to Jurassic Park."
3. Ian Malcolm
"Life, will find a way." Malcolm was right the whole time, yet no one(well, Grant and Sattler did a little) took him seriously. I'm sure Hammond did not hear the end of that for a while.
2. Robert Muldoon
Probably the most bad*** of all JP characters, Muldoon was ready to tangle with any dinosaur even if it meant his life. In the end it did and he uttered his most famous words, "Clever girl."
1. Alan Grant
The perfect combo of Indiana Jones and a paleontologist, Alan Grant is without a doubt the most famous/memorable character from Jurassic Park. As Hammond pointed out, "Who better to get the kids through Jurassic Park than a dinosaur hunter."

MemberCompsognathusDec-07-2013 11:04 PMI was gonna have Muldoon high up on the list, but something inside me told me not to make him number 1. So, I gave him second place. Glad you liked it(I have a thing for top 10 lists).
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexDec-07-2013 11:05 PMI noticed that, and that's fine, still high up.

MemberCompsognathusDec-07-2013 11:07 PMCool. I'm thinking of changing my forum signature to Tembo's quote about T-rex.

MemberCompsognathusDec-08-2013 9:29 AMThanks. Like Muldoon, I knew Malcolm was up there, the question was how high up.

MemberCompsognathusDec-08-2013 10:44 AMRight. I enjoy all those 3 characters. My order would be:
3-Muldoon;
2-Grant;
1-Malcolm.
But they're not so distant from one another in my top list, so it's not a big deal. ;)
