But in my mind I'm thinking, mann, J.J. Abrams would have done a fantastic job with Jurassic Park 4. Think about it for just a second, he have done amazing films in the past. Cloverfield, Super 8, Star Trek, Fringe, Lost, Revolution, Person of Interest and Star Wars! He would have been my first candidate for directing Jurassic Park 4.
Reason why I would have chosen him is because him and Spielberg have been in close touch and work well together, think Super 8, amblin entertainment was part of that film. Just with his storytelling is fantastic, and a sense of mystery in his films are amazing. Jurassic Park 4 needs a bit of mystery. He's proved himself capable to film action packed special effect driven films, and with his amazing talent and creativity with story telling could have really helped Jurassic Park 4. I do like Trevorrow and I think he will make this film fantastic, but I still wished J.J. Abrams would have directed this film instead of Star Wars, and unfortunately he is a really busy guy. But it would have been nice to have J.J. Abrams on board.
What do you guys think? Let me know!

MemberCompsognathusMay-10-2013 9:22 PMJ.J. wouldve been a great choice, but as you said, hes an extremely busy man. I have no idea how he has so many projects at the same time and keeps announcing new ones O.o
Who knows if eventually he'll get a shot at a JP movie

MemberCompsognathusMay-11-2013 12:25 PMSpielberg is not going to take the helm because he does not believe in the project. He did not believe in Jurassic Park III, therefore he did not take the helm. He remained involved because he was not going to let somebody ruin it altogether, But his name was not going to appear on the marquee.
The unfortunate reality is, any attempt to continue Jurassic Park is a risk. Which is why Spielberg is not directing Jurassic Park four. That isn't to say that it shouldn't be made, and I think Spielberg believes that someone should make it. I think Spielberg is a clever man, who doesn't take chances he doesn't believe in. The plain fact is he doesn't want to direct Jurassic Park four in case it sucks.... But does want his name associated with it in case it is awesome, so that he can take some credit.
