Really? I love minecraft, so, can I see the mod?
About the King thing, just don't, most people accept Rex as the King of the Dinosaurs, but there are a few who HATE Rex more than a small child hates vegetables, so don't call Rex King of the Dinosaurs. I still call him "The King," but that's it.
NanoT was about one thousand pounds in weight, twenty or so feet long, and seven feet tall (give or take). I HIGHLY doubt it had a poisonous bite. It had a bite that was about 500 PSI (give or take), enough to kill a young Rex (equal size or smaller), and enough to piss off an adult. NanoT was probably a scavenger, and it may have had an INFECTIOUS bite, not toxic bite.
Im going by what I study and if Im not mistaking T-rex was the most highly advanced carnivore of its time after we found out that Rex could hunt in pack up to 3-4 of them including their young. There for Rex was "King" of the dinosaurs do to all others feared it.
See Nano-Tyranus is a very different the our every day T-rex it has a highy toxic bite the could kill a rex within a few minutes if got a e rexs it hold of the legs. It also with more study about Nano-Tyranus it was found to have serrated teeth in the front along with the dagger like teeth like T-rex.
Dromaeosaur: Deinonychus Pterosaur: Ramphorhyncus Bird: Phourusrhacos
Its a very favorable theroy that Rex was at the front of the "Eveloution Arms race" And by losing long arms (which could be like Spinos as an example) Would provide something to evolve in its place and give it a sort of sharpened blade for prey...
But of course they also probably helped for balance, and by losing them for better and possibly more combat worthy weapon, Much like a humans big toe, thats right, the only reason you have it is for balance, werid I know.
I think rex fans got the right idea, just thought i'd throw this up there too
Maybe, Biosyn should definatley make some sort of appearence in the film, However if ingen went under (by theroy) then Biosyn shouldve gone down before ingen even did, seeing how the jurassic park attempt was a last resort sort of thing...
Sorry. I saw that, I was just giving an explanation for future reference.
Apparently your not looking at what im lookin at, the DASPLETOSAURUS guys said in exact words "we all know Tyrannosaurus was the king of the dinosaurs".
We just say "King" because that's what Rex translates too. If Spino had "Rex" at the end, we would most likely refer to Spino as "The King," and he who gets annoyed when Rex is refered to as "The King," would be calling Spino "The King." It's all in the meaning, that's what I go by at least.
New kid, we dont "know" if trex is the king of the dinosaurs. Just throwing that out because that there is what ignites these outrages ;)
True. You can get to some good results through debates that, as you said, don't need to go too far away. Some of the best theories are created that way. ;)
That's fine. I'm not changing my opinion either, but hey, debates like this are fun, as long as we keep our cool and dont take it too far.
Yeah, I'm not loosing anything -
And yes, there are some differences.
Exactly, and I respect yours. I see the Juvenile thing as plausible though (it doesn't hurt to look at things from both sides). I know about the differences, but that's not so much posture as it is body variations (small feet and large eye sockets, large nasal passages and oddly positioned legs, not sure of other things though, those were two that came to mind).
Of course Concavenator would be a seasoned hunter, but hunting ability has nothing to do with fighting a creature a quarter of your size and four times as agile. It didn't give a specific age for the Utahraptor, so who's to say the Utahraptor wasn't a seasoned hunter/fighter an his prime and that he has only just reached adulthood. Anywho, keep experience out of this (it wasn't mentioned, don't bother bringing it up), and enjoy the fact that this was a well written fight.
Well, it's still a juvenile for me (even T-rex adult specimens are always different to one another. And I'm not talking about size)
But, oh well, Nano-T as a species on its own isn't excluded, so I respect your point of view.
I see NanoT as a species of it's own. Different teeth (thinner, more knifelike), different posture (head slanted down, not parallel to the ground).
I saw the title "Rex Killer" and thought this would be a Rex vs Spino, or something new of interest (a disease, or a new north American super predator, for example). Everyone on this forum knows what a Nanotyrannus is, what it did, and it's size and role. I personally have known about NanoT since I was 10.
I was seeing that coming as another Rex vs. Spino thread. Thank God it didn't happen so.
BTW, that could happen, but I personally see Nano-T as a juvenile T-rex. That being said, basing off of what you said, some juveniles could be cannibals, haha.
Both are very underrated dinosaurs, especially Ceratosaurus. Dilophosaurus has a slighty advantage due to its larger role in the JP franchise, that kind of launched it.
PS- I made a topic with the top ten most underrated dinosaurs some time ago. If you search the earlier threads, you could be able to find it. ;)
I would think that Concavenator would be a season hunter longer before the other Utha Raptor he would have had the female killed.
I cant wait for it to come out on PS4
I would like to see them turn Tyrannosaurus Rex into a pack hunter of 3-4 Rexs. But if they cant do that bring in a pack of Utha Raptors to fight T-rex. I would like to see them take where Isla Nublar got bigger say like it became a new contenet full of dinosaurs from different time zones from Triassic, Jurassic, and to Cretaceous with new people and i do like the idea for a navy seal team being involded.
With more study we have found out that T-rex also hunted in packs to kill lager pray. Spino hunted alone when forced to scavege he is more to die off starvation. There for Rex would have been the most highly advanced land carnivore at his time. Dont forget that Rex had to keep his head always on the object its facing on do to its big head. Spino has one major flaw to even if it didnt fall on its sail if any amount a force would kill it.
I think it would be good if you would put in Carcharodontosaurus, Carnotaurus,
Allosaurus, T-rex, and a marine dinosaur Mosasaur if the go through water on the island.
Ah, I wanted the Concavenator to win, but still a good fight and an unexspected twist at the end.
That's fine, as I already said, very enjoyable. And you're welcome :)
Hmmm... that could hint any relation with BioSyn?
And BTW, the title could also change in "Trevorrow playing a fun game". ;)
I tried throwing in a few hints from the beginning that a second one would appear, but mr happy is right. Threw in a lil suprise ending for you guys :)
and thanks dinosteve!
Good chapter, and I love the story as well. Honestly, I didn't expectyou could do such a great job. That, or the very good fights PFG writes.
Great fight, the last moment change for the Utahraptor is very enjoyable. So, you did a pretty nice job.
PS- I love your fights ;)
I would have Hatzegopteryx, Balaur, and an Ostrich, the closest living relative of the dinosaurs, if you ask me.
Good fight, I really enjoyed it.
Sinornothosaurus, that doesn't have to be the case. Sometimes the writer can surprise us by throwing in these things, and beside that, you kinda had to see it coming, with the mating calls and everything.
It surely was multi-functional, so, I agree with what was stated by RexFan earlier. (It just seems those days you're making some iterensting paleontologic debate topics, while I'm sleeping. So I don't have the time to say my opinion, as all is already said. :D )
A very well written fight. That Concavenator had one nasty temper to go from a strictly territorial mode to a murder mode. And, it was quite the surprise having the female Utahraptor show up and help out her future mate.
I don't think this was very fair. If it was gonna be 2 Utahraptors, it should've been specified from the beginning.
This image is very good. And it acually clarified something I was debating with myself for a while: were the functional fingers of late Cretaceous tyrannosaurs the thumb and index finger, or the index and middle fingers?
Definitely the thumb and index finger.
Rex Fan, I think your answer was the best out of all answers. If T.rex could use its arms for anything, it would have.
