I know exactly what you mean. I can accept other people's opinions, if they actually state their opinions. Diss my opinion, that's fine. It when you diss mine and don't say yours that I get ticked.
Understandable, but sometimes people need to be put in their place, nomatter who they are, because if they are wrong, then by god they need to know because people who wont accept anything less than what they want to believe, they probably arent going to change anytime soon, but that there is human logic for you, either man up and live it, or underestimate and give it, if you get the moral im trying to dish out.
None taken, and I get ticked more so when someone disses my opinion, and doesn't give any reason. Though, I kinda have anger issues, so I do get angry kinda easy. I try to stay calm though. It's mostly because it's the same people that piss me off every time, so my thinking is "Why bother with this calm down BS when they won't listen?"
Oh but debating this topic is what gives this flare and ummph. I know, there are people that will get hot on the topic because they one says something another says as "unbelieveable" or "unrealistic", and yes, there are some people that make sense with what they say, and im sorry to say that you are one of those people i have noticed that get angry about what they think isnt true... No disrespect by any means though.
Welcome to the site. I'm MrHappy9097, one of the two moderators on JW. I've got no comment or question regarding the Rex vs Spino, but try to avoid the topic. Most of us are good with it, but there's one or two people who lose it when the topic arises.
Star Wars: Episode VII 33.8%
Avengers: Age of Ultron 33.4%
15.1% Jurassic World: (
Let's fans, Jurassic World is losing, and we need to change that now.
*English Translation of The above disscusion.*
My response:
Eu concordo com isso ... Temos tido um pouco de um mergulho de nariz em fãs, Não se preocupe, as fileiras vai ficar muito maior muito mais cedo do que o filme se aproxima.
*English translation*
I agree with that ... We've had a bit of a nose dive into fans, do not worry, the rows will get much bigger much sooner than the film approaches.
I meant, where are Spino's scars? The Rex had scars, the Spino didn't. I guess that whatever injuries it sustained healed within a quarter second of said wound being obtained, much like the bite from the Rex. Oh well, just another thing to add to the long list of things that bug me in JP 3.
Thanks, and have you been reading JP: The Game Warden's Story?
Don't know what that says, so I don't know what to say.
As far as the scars go, I just meant that's something only male animals do do it couldn't have been the female infant. Not that it was a fighter and should have won.
PS- Nice forum sig.
I see that. I'm not going to post what I'm thinking in regards to those scars and the "Spino was also a sub adult" to avoid ticking people off.
I know, I just felt they should keep that in mind.
Back to the Rex, everything points to it being a sub-adult male. Nothing more, nothing less. It also had scars on it's face which would indicate it had battled for territory with other young males, a behavior seen in many modern animals. Just thought you guys might find that interesting.

(If you look at the middle of the snout, there they are, plain as day)
I know that. Here's a point you pointed out in a previous topic. Estimates for Spino range from 10 metres and 3 tons to 20 metres and 23 tons. This wasn't about the Spino though, so let's just avoid that talk right here right now.
Rexy was also a similar shade to the female from TLW and the infant. The infant was female and the sub-adult was male. Males are green and females are brownish-grey. And yes, TLW took place in the conifer forests of the NW end of Sorna while JP III was in the rainforests of the SE. To support the Rex being a sub-adult, here's a link to the fight scene page on the Jurassic Park Wikia...
http://jurassicpark.wikia.com/wiki/Spinosaurus_vs._T._rex_Scene
Like you said, the Rex in JP III was only 37 ft long while the male from TLW was 43 ft and he was most certainly an adult.
For the Spino fans that say the Rex fans make up the sub-adult thing to feel better about the fight, you could turn it around and say the Spino wasn't fully grown either. It was 43 ft long in the movie if I'm correct. Just saying.
Wont all these spoilers take the magic away that we felt 21 years ago! Seeing props n possibly in future a pic of a Stan winston dino or something.
Before internet, before pictures n videos, going to the cinema not knowing what was going to happen or what to expect was so much better.
i like cast updates though they r different Keep them coming. Despite these pics being awesome. Just saying its something to think about.
Welcome the site. I too love Ceratosaurus(my second favorite dinosaur after T.rex).

I agree with this. I have seen estimates for Spinosaurus as low as 10 meters long and 3 tons in weight to as high as 20 meters long and 23 tons. With this kind of range, I want to know why some people think they know how big the animal was. There is no way of knowing until a good skeleton is found. I personally don't think it got past 17 meters long and 8 tons. I think an average animal was 14-16 meters long and 5-7 tons, but that's just me.
PS- For the critics of my policy of long does not mean heavy, keep this in mind. Diplodocus was a 80-100 foot long animal(unless you include Seisomosaurus as a species of Diplodocus), yet it weighed 10-20 tons at most. Argentinosaurus reached a similar length, but weighed 70-120 tons. To quote MrHappy, "Nuff said."
Giganotosaurus. I like T.rex more, but I'm good with Giganotosaurus. Can't exactly be disappointed with a 8 ton killing machine.

I do notice a pattern when I take these quizzes. I always get really large, aggressive carnivores(mostly T.rex, but Giganotosaurus in this case). Interesting.
JP III Rex was 37 ft long and 14 ft tall.
Rexy was 46 ft long and 19 ft tall(don't quote me on the height).
The TLW: JP male was 43 ft long and 16 ft tall.
I agree with you MrHappy.
This is an amazing picture Jezza. Just remember that the dinosaur you draw has to be Jurassic Park related not a new breed. Sorry if that ruined your plans however I will host a future art contest that that dinosaur may be good to use thanks for showing if you acro and I do like the lettering you did keep up the good work.
Love this site, always on the A Game. Awesome pics
Okay, Phantom Raptor, this is your first warning, stop being hostile with other members. That's not how we act here, so I'm telling you now to calm down and stop getting so heated over nothing. You are welcome to comment and interact with the site, but throwing around insults and acting like a pompus ass will not be tolerated. I don't know how old you are, but try to act more mature when posting. Thank you.
I do like this list. But I have been surfing through the forums and I have only one problem, The Trex Spino killed (or this is at least what I heard) was the younger Trex because they made the dinosaurs accelerat growth for the park and the trait passed down. So we are not talking aboud juniors mom and/or dad. So that is my only problem. I don't know if anyone else thought this. Plus even if that was one of the adults, then junior would have been much, much bigger then he last was. That is what I think I might (and probably might be) wrong but that's my theory.
Yep, but the description they give is wrong. They said it was 11 meters and 4 tonnes, which the largest of the species is, but in the game they are about 2 ft. long and 10 lbs.
The whole sub adult thing is said because in the special features (I think, I haven't checked for myself) that the JP and TLW Rex's were 16 feet tall, and the JP3 Rex was 14.5 feet tall.
Cant wait to read the next one
I agree with everything except the "Sub-Adult" thing. They never, ever said anything about rex being a sub-adult, it's just something you rex fans came up with to keep the "King" in his place. It was an adult, face it. You just made the "sub-adult" up. No offense, just kind'a got tired of hearing that over and over agfain.
Now that I've gotten off my little soap-box, I agree with everything else. Spino can bring down a giant reinforced, steal fence designed to keep titanosaurs in, but not a small 4" thick, wooden door. Or the plane thing. I love spino (rex or acro second in line), but sometimes I wonder if the makers of the film were on crack.
It was more like a monster movie to me.
why not just make a mod for dayz get rid of the zombies and put in dinosaurs
This right now, is my best work of art. The legs way too small and the arms too big. I'm horrible at proportions. But I hope you appreciate the JP: Lost World font I got off the side of my movie's paper box.

I'm currently working on a drawing that should be done by Friday, I call it Titanotherionix Rex, my own breed of dino. I think yall'll like it.

Don’t have a basement.
And what are you even on about? 50% of the stories on this entire fan page are dedicated to ‘spy shots’ of shit under wraps.
Yeah, no shit Sherlock, there’s going to be flashback scenes. How hard did you have to rub your two remaining brain cells together to figure that one out? We already knew about the gas powered jeeps, the point is there is now a possibility that we’ll see the ford explorers as well – that’s “BRAND NEW.” It’s not ‘breaking news’ (I pity the fool who comes here for their breaking news) but it is a development of sorts that most Jurassic Park fans find somewhat interesting. So calm yer tits.
“So again, the classic vehicles will play no signficant part in the movie, beyond flashback sequences.” – You don’t know that. I'm not saying they won't feature in a flashback scene, but they could very well feature in a scene where we are shown how the Patel Corporation took back control of Nublar...
“The ferry on the other hand is quite interesting, as its BRAND NEW to Jurassic Park/World, clearly says Isla Nublar on the side, indicating one of the methods we'll see for transporting visitors from the mainland to Jurassic World on Isla Nublar.” You don’t know that. Look at the peeling paint on the side of that ship. It could very well be something InGen left behind when Nublar was abandoned.
Peter is correct...
Theres a literal, Tonne of articles on the jeeps, The Mercedes, and other vehilces... But this will be the first time we've ever seen a boat in the franchise series, That was meant for visitors...
I suggest @Phantom Raptor, That you please calm down, Late news, is better then no news.

@Phantom Raptor
Time to get out of the basement. Jurassic World is in early production. There is no such thing as breaking news. If you consider a spy shot of a few vehicles under tarps as breaking news, you need to go the fuck outside, and get a grip.
Having said that, The picture above that you were so bent out of shape over says nothing. So what? They vaguely resemble the shapes of two classic JP vehicles....It has already been stated NUMEROUS times that there will likely (read: definitely) be flashback sequences that are filmed, that are not just stock footage in context, but new footage intertwined. To film even a 10 sec new clip of some flashback, actual props (like vehicles) are still needed. So again, the classic vehicles will play no signficant part in the movie, beyond flashback sequences.
The ferry on the other hand is quite interesting, as its BRAND NEW to Jurassic Park/World, clearly says Isla Nublar on the side, indicating one of the methods we'll see for transporting visitors from the mainland to Jurassic World on Isla Nublar.
welcome to the site,
as far as the drawing thing goes: you need to upload it to a deviantart or google images, and then you can copy and past it to the site. Don't know why it's like that..
Anyways, hope you enjoy your stay!
good job. Kinda reminds me of the first book, i'm enjoying this one. keep it up
I wouldn't really count the Ford Explorers as "official" news yet. We haven't actually had a full picture of them, just the possibility that's there. The shape does slightly resemble the Ford Explorers, but it could still be any car.
