EVERYONE - I'm so terribly sorry for the little break between sections that's taken place; the past few weeks have been a little hectic. Regardless, I hope you enjoy this latest entry in the story. :)
Unforunately I know nothing about CGI, but I love your ideas, hope you can pull it off! :)
This is rather Bold. It's very Unheard of for someone your Age to do somehting like that. That is your Strength.
But it is also your Weakness.
Y'see, A young age like that, Makes it very difficult to do much of anything...
However, I am a bit older then that.
The key, is to have your Idea set out, Your plan as Solid as Steel and, be willing to make Adjustments, and keep true to your goal.
Ever heard of Craig Keel Burg? Probably not, He however spoke to the U.N. About Child Slavery, at the Age of only Twelve, If he could do that, you can do this.
If you need help with anything (Except maybe computers... I'm alan grant when it comes to that) I'd be interesting in lending a hand...
ALANGIFF - That is a very imaginative and compelling concept! Never give up on your dreams; always reach forward and take every chance you get to improve your craft and talents. I certainly hope that you continue with your aspirations. Always remember this: the key to success is persistance. :)
at this point, it just seems like you guys favored Yutyrannus because it was a Tyrannosaur...Smh..
Sounds interesting, what is the motivation for taking the eggs and why are there two boys with the mercs and paleontologist? Once I know that I will be sure to see this.
NOOOOOO!!!!!!
I was going for y-tyrannus!
For me, I think this is the best lead as to the identity of D-Rex...

But that's just me.
REDTIGER243 - That's a very interesting hypothesis you've brought to us! In all honesty, I'm uncertain of what to think of the D-Rex; though I certainly hope it turns out to be a believable hybrid rather than some outlandish monster. Regardless, I wanted to welcome you to the forums! Please, make yourself at home and start posting away; we love to see new faces! :)
Well, before this discussion goes down the path I see it going, I think I'll close it. Sorry Acro, but I can't be partial to anyone. If this was MrHappy's discussion and it was turning into a Rex vs Spino debate, I'd do the same. If it was Raptor401s, I'd do the same. End of story. Enjoy the rest of the forums.
i would feel giganatosaurus more than tyranosaurus, size and weigth dosent matter what matters is speed giganatosaurus is estimated to run at 50km/h while trex is estimated at around 40km/h
It wouldn't be called D-Rex and keep us up at night if it was a known Dinosaur...
Other Head cannons make more sense then this. But I'll respect your idea.
it might be a carnotaurus
or even a ceratosaurus or allosaurus
there's so much possibilities
Eh, I am pretty sure I will manage. I never really got excited for pick-up trucks or trucks in general.
I was referring to trucks, not vans, not cars, but trucks. Got your email, and my recommendation is: get a mega cab. Diesel preferably because the gas gets 8 miles to the gallon, but they are powerful.
Gen 3. very good condition but it eats gas up really fast, and the car just had some problem that we had to stop us and go to a reapair center.
And this was DURING the road trip.
Is it a first, second, third or fourth generation Dodge pickup? We've never had a first or fourth, but we had two second gens, and currently have a third ten.
Gen. 1 - pre 1990
Gen. 2 - before 2002
Gen. 3 - up to 2013 or so
Gen. 4 - 2013 or so and newer.
True. On our trip to the beach we took our Dodge and we kept on having damn problems with the thing.
Just calm down. We all do our own research as well, and we all have different thoughts on it.
It's like someone saying that Dodge trucks suck. That's what you think, but in the past 15 years my family has owned Dodge trucks, we've had nothing but quality vehicles. Just an example I thought of quickly.
Great fight, will read what you have coming next.
Yah, I mean we may never know everything to be certain...
why is everything a bloody opinion when it comes to this? i did hours of research to bring you all my findings, and it's an opinion? tell me, how exactly is that an opinion?
'Twas fun while it lasted...
You know what? That's your opinion and we are fine with it as long as you don't go bashing ours just because you don't agree with it. That said, of Rex and Spino are mentioned (or I perceive that it is even hinted at) in the the same post (well, Spino in General, because this was, afterall, a T-Rex discussion), I will lock this. No hard feelings, but we need to keep it under control.
It's just natural. A lot of SPino fans also attempt at underestimating Rex.
I shall try to say no more in this.
UCMP, why bring an elephant, a mammal into this discussion?
Dinosaurs are of the reptilian/bird lineage, a comparison between tyrannosaurus and an elephant is elementally flawed.
About the 9 ton sue estimates... It is a group of scientist who developed a new means of calculating weight. Under this new system, dinos are heavier. This is just an article on how it was applied on T. Rex.
As you know, there are more than one method in trying to find out the size of dinosaurs, this is a new one. I dont know why in the world do you think it can be accounted for only 1 dino. It is just a new calculation method that is all. The article just talks about T. Rex weighing under this new scheme. But that would be applied to Spino, Carchar, Giga, and Every other dinosaur under the sun.
However for Spino..20 tons sounds too much, and was Spinosaurus even heavier than 90 ft average Diplodocus, which weight about 16 tons? I don't think so.
I know Therrien and Henderson estimated that Spinosaurus could weigh over 20 over when they published their study. However they estimated its length of only 12.6 to 14.3 m. Also i heard that these guys estimated Giganotosaurus weight of about 17.4 tons. This must be huge overstimated. Their methods are just BAD, because they made them in the same proportions as other large carnivorous dinosaurs. I believe it was around 10-12 tons overall..
But..You guys seem to underestimate Spino, whom i do believe would outmatch Tyrannosaurus 6/10 times in a confrontation IMO. Yes, i just brought this into the conversation.
And I do not know about you but fear of cockroaches is not irrational. They carry so many disease and can survive up to a week WITHOUT THEIR HEAD.
I LOVE dogs. Liking a dog is actually rather a trait you are born with. I was born into a dog lover.
I'd be more afraid of a Rex than a Giga simply because while both have large teeth, Rex's are larger, Rex is wider and more muscular.
Haha, everyone has some irrational fear. I hate small cars, not fear, but strongly dislike, verging fear if I had to get in one and drive. I don't really like dogs either (all but one I've ever come in contact with has tried to or has attacked me).
I fear cockroaches so much for some reason.
Eh, rooting for Yutyrannus. Oh well.
Great fight. Can't wait for the next.
Well, what makes an animal scary or not is a different matter entirely. I fear spiders more than wolves despite being a fraction of my size.
Thanks!!!
Yes O have done many spoofs on this forum. Even this one, which is no longer viewbale on my list:

Hmmm I think A long dinosaur is actually a bit more terrifying than a heavier dinosaur for some reason...
Why is it out of the question? Dinosaurs being smart, feathered, and hunting in packs was probably "out of the question" too at one point. Now that's the norm for many species.
Spino was longer(probably), but lighter weight and more slender pound for pound...

(technically Giga and Rex, but principle of longer doesn't mean heavier still applies)

Spectacular. Excellent writing and detail.
10/10
there's no way in a hell a healthy tyrannosaurus got to 14 tons. Out of the question.
Spinosaurus could weigh that much because it was longer then rex, more body area to carry the weight.
I thought Delta came first and I think it's possible(maybe likely) Baharisaurus is a different animal all together.
Personally, I put Delta at 26-30 ft long and 1-1.5 tons and Sauro at 36-40 ft long and 3-4 tons.
