Nice post! Very interesting about dinosaur revolution.
Thanks Sci-Fi
And Allotitan, nothing. Just a cross country trip basically. Going all the way to the coast. Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the museums I mentioned are probably the big 3.
Woah you're going on a long, long trip from PA! Whats your main destination?
Nice post RexFan!
(About the Dinosaur Revolution Rex couple, I never knew that.)
I've also got Dinosaur National Monument in Utah on the list of things to see and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Plus whatever other museums that I might find along the way(many national parks like Yellowstone and Yosemite are on the route and so are many cities. It'll be fun).
Good fight rooting for Ghost
Next summer I have plans to take a trip out west. I'll be seeing Sue and Stan on this trip ;)
Awesome! I keep trying to find Robert Bakker's emails because I want to ask him about some Epanterias fossils he excavated in 1990
Paul Sereno is all that lasts...
So he could confirm the new Spino skeleton rumors :P
I have his email(along with Jack Horners and Phil Curries)
Those guys at Dinosaur revolution... Clever Girls
Interesting, cool how you got to talk to Peter Larson.
I just thought it would be like 50 or 60
but, i guess they lived fast and died young.
Those people are geniouses. Never noticed.
And Jane was their daughter too!
Some sneaky guys there at Dinosaur Revolutions :P
Very interesting!
And of course they are a lovely couple! (after all, the T.rex couple in Dinosaur Revolution are based directly on Sue's and Stan's skeletons)
The oldest T.rex was Sue at 28 years old. The biggest theropods therefore lived in the 25-35 year range, which isn't that short.
Nice fight, I was rooting for Ghost.
Nice fight rooting for croc jaw
I would say anywere from 20-40 years for a large theropod. Small theropods probably had a wide variation in lifespan similar to modern birds.
Sauropods, at least the large ones, probably lived from 70-80 years old based on growth ring studies.
As for Ceratopsians there is not much info on lifespan for them at this point.
Wow... Gonna go check the topic right now, hope I don't lose too much faith in humanity.
Definately the Dad Rex for me. I liked this list, the job you did is certainly well done. Nothing beats an angry mommy and daddy over why their little baby hasn't come home yet.
Hmm... my favorite is probably a tie between Rexy and the Dad Rex. A close second is the T-Rex from King Kong ( I dont know where people came up with Vastatosaurus Rex, Its basically an inbred T-Rex with buck teeth lol)
Al, this happened before all of the rules were set im pretty sure.
Well now that I have read all the other comments I guess it was or is most likely that the dinosaurs were different species. Then again, we will never know.
Cool! Now that looks like an animatronic!
Thanks for the coments guys!
@Mr.Happy
I forgot about them! Same with the Nannotyrannus which I love! Dam
@Dinosteve
Nice! Love the design of the Rex!
