I have no doubt that T.rex will get a fair amount screen time in JW. The franchise would be nothing w/o the mighty king! I also think that we will see a showdown between D.rex and one of the Tyrannosaurs, and D.rex will end up the victor (or so fear).
The effect will take a huge toll on the audience, and on the movie characters. Here is the king of all dinosaurs, who is feared and respected by all, crashing down and being killed after a long fight with a genetically-enhanced monster. It will have a greater impact than when the young Spino took his place as the main antagonist in JP3, because the only creature that could combine strength and killer instinct to take down the monster is killed. It's like the Bewilderbeast fight in How to Train Your Dragon 2.
Allosaurus is actually damn cool, D-rex isn't. It's simply horrible. A Giganotosaurus/Carcharodontosaurus would have been 100 times better. I mean, you call a place JURASSIC WORLD, and you put in a such place a made up thing, wich doesn't come from Mesozoic? I wanted to see real dinosaurs (possibly feathered, because feathers are cool), not a such awful, made up thing. Even a Deinocheirus would have been better. This film deluded me a lot so far. That's just my opinion however.

^d-rex is supposed to be bigger and its really not that ugly. it looks pretty much like a giant allosaur
D-rex is smaller. And post a pic of d-rex so I can see how ugly it is.
I guess T.rex is going to appear (Toys pointed it out), but I don't really think that it's goingto kill D-rex...I mean, that (awful) thing is simply much larger, stronger, smarter...it's a better and larger version of T.rex. How can T.rex kill a (ugly) thing wich is much better than it in everything? D-rex is ugly though, is an insult to dinosaurs. I wouldn't be so sorry to see a (feathered) T.rex ripping off its damn head.
Just my thought.

There was a mishap at the lab, and we lost some Torvo DNA. This caused our dinosaurs to be fast and lean for this batch only! Order now for an athletic Torvo! :)

^ I left out the long battle part. They would obviously have to battle for a long time before one dies. (Besides, the D. Rex would already be wounded from the raptors.)
No, the d rex can't be killed that easily.

Hm. I checked, and I saw it. I believe it's just there for decoration and (possibly) a homage to JP3. (I also think we might see a Rex ram through it.)
Oh, and I'd call having the strongest bite force of any land animal is quite something.
Well, since Colin teased "Rex Redemption," I'd assume T.rex defeats D-Rex.

Nice, I was actaully about to post my own discussion about this, but saw yours, now there is no need. In Australia, its counting down. I really want to know, because I may take the day off school, (I have recently finsih my first end of year exams, my parents gift,)So I would like to know soon, also, I saw some of the leaked footage, and some of that stuff wasn't in the trailer released...
