CARNOSAUR and MR. HAPPY9097 - I'm very impressed with you both, and I certainly hope we all have as much fun with the Tag-Team debate that's approaching! :)
^^ this guys...
I swear man..
There's not a whole lot of evidence saying its a quadrupedal animal.Look at the facts first before you go off on another rant.

^ read it.
S. aegyptiacus is aunique theropod in several important aspects and will likely remain a taxon of intenseinterest for its size, adaptations, and life habits. There is no question that the holotypeand referred fossils from Egypt collected by Stromer have been destroyed. Returnexpeditions to Stromer’s localities in Egypt have failed to discover substantial additional material of S. aegyptiacus
"...Emended Diagnosis: Spinosaurid with adult body length ~15 m characterized by the
following cranial features: external naris and narial fossa small and retracted near the
orbit on the side of the posterior snout; premaxilla excluded from the border of the
external naris. Distinguishing postcranial features include strongly constricted
hourglass-shaped and elongated dorsal centra; dorsal neural spine height up to ten
times greater than centrum height; greatest anteroposterior dorsal neural spine width
below spine apex; dorsal neural spines composed of dense bone with a narrow central
zone of cancellous bone; proximal one-third of dorsal neural spines textured
externally by vertical striae; long bones lack open medullary cavity; length of ilium
larger than dorsoventral length of femur; femur strongly bowed anteriorly with fourth
trochanter hypertrophied, extending along ~25% of the femoral shaft; pedal digit I
long, digit I-1 phalanx longest nonungual phalanx in the pes; pedal unguals broader
than deep with length almost four times proximal depth; pedal unguals with flat
ventral surface."
"Referred Material, Junior Synonym
Although hundreds of isolated bones and teeth of S. aegyptiacus are in collections around
the world, a few specimens are more complete and thus have garnered attention.
“Spinosaurus B”. Stromer designated bones found in close association as “Spinosaurus
B” (2), a partial skeleton that was entirely destroyed in WWII. The unusual proportions
of the neotype (reduced pelvis size and short hind limb length compared to the axial 10
column) are also present (and nearly identical) in this specimen (fig. S2), suggesting that
it composed a second associated individual of S. aegyptiacus."
^ there in that last paragraph they're referring to Sigilmassasaurus brevicollis, "Spinosaurus B" in other words. If Ibrahim is correct, S. brevicolis is a junior synonym( in other words the same animal) as S. aegyptiacus.
Spinosaurus maroccanus. This species was based on a single supposed proportional
difference using measurements given by Stromer (11). We regard this difference as an
artifact of differing ways to measure opisthocoelous vertebrae. Following the conclusions
of previous studies (6, 13). We regard this species as a nomen dubium
No where in this paper does it say Spinosaurus is a quadrupedal animal. Merely that it was adapted for a semi-aquatic life style(if you didn't figure this much out, then i just don't know man.
Anyways, cheers.
BTW I'm fine if I'm not the leader, its really between Rexfan and Mr. Happy.
Sorry I'm late, from now I think I should actually take the time and read all the threads. Anyways this does really seem fun, we just need to hear from Rexfan now. I think each team should have a name based on their Dinosaur. Maybe ours can be the "Tarbo Terminators" or something like that.
REX FAN 684 - Regardless of how much screen time Rexy gets, I hope his/her presence is as powerful as that evidenced in the first Jurassic Park film! :)
CARNOSAUR - I will gladly defer to you as captain for this exchange, my friend. Just say the word! :)
MR. HAPPY9097 - Couldn't have said it betyter myself! ;)
Am I aloud to get a real-life sized Triceratops? Sorry, I want to ride it to school everyday, I'll get all the girls!
Ill take a herd (10-20) Parasauruolophus.
Ill take a herd (6-12) of Gallimimus.
It's alright, you will be in here next week.
Oh, sorry no more Utahs. I bought the last one.
Most likely it will. Until then though, we can remember the fun had here.
Possibley though I agree with Mr. Happy. I think it will have more screen time because it's an icon of jurassic park and of dinosaurs in general.

^ How I felt when I saw I wasn't here.
I'm just kidding, though I would love to debate with someone sometime.
Oh I never wanted an Epanterias.
Utahraptor All The Way!!!
Ohh sorry the last one just got sold to someone. How about saurophaganax?
Yes! Gonna get me an Epanterias! gonna get me an Epanterias!
Could we make special request for a specific species?
^ Can you send PK the care sheets?
Oh man is this ever going to be good and fun. Fun like 250+ horsepower under the hood of a lifted Jeep fun.
Ain't got nothing ATM, but I'm getting to work once I'm done my homework.
Frankly, I think it's pretty damn obvious the D-Rex is a dangerous bugger. Even if the Raptors were to simply back off, that'd prove his dangerous D-Rex is, as The Big One attacked Rexy on her own.
I think Rex will have plenty enough screen time, and in the end, take out the (second) most dangerous creature the franchis has ever seen.
8.9 vs Carno's 9.1? I will take it! Only 0.2 points behind one of the best on these forums, I will take that any day of the week. Good job to you Carno, I thoroughly enjoyed this myself, we both kept our cool, we didn't cuss each other out, and no insults were thrown whatsoever. Thank you for the positive experience.
@Alphadino,
I think that neuters the Rex. They can accomplish that without the D-Rex killing the Rex. Just making the Raptors back off would be enough. The Raptors are reknowned as some of the biggest killers and antagonists of JP. Making them back down or wiping out half a pack would prove how deadly D. rex is. However, having the Rex win a brutal fight with the supposed upgraded version of itself, would bring the Tyrannosaur back to his place as King, as Chris said, Rex Redemption. That way, it could show the D-Rex is the deadliest threat JP has faced, but also redeem the king!
Rex's are good for hunting but the best would be the torvos.
Is the Tyrannosaur good for hunting? You didn't really put up a profile for him. But one Rex and one Spino, please!
Dis gonna be REALY REAL gud.
i love acroanthosaurs.
Dis' gonna' be REAL fun! Acrocanthosaurus is my absolute favorite! :)
CARNOSAUR and MR. HAPPY9097 - This was an exceptionally fun and extremely informative debate to read! As the appointed judge of your exchange, I've read each of your points and counterpoints many times over in order to make a decisive call on this. I muist say that this was an exceedingly difficult judgement to make as you both evidenced remarkably flexible and clear language in addition to presenting your information in manner that was readily accessible to the reader. I applaud you both! I'll spare you the details on the ad-hoc percentiles I utilize to determine the victors of these debates, however, CARNOSAUR edged out the competition with a score of 9.1 - securing victory! MR. HAPPY9097 came in with a score of 8.9 - a debate total that is marked as extraordinary!
You both should be extremely proud of the exchange you've just completed! It was cordial, controlled, and, above all else, marvelously composed! I'm impressed in the extreme! Congratulations to both of you fine gentlemen! :)
I always wanted giga to Be the movie. And have the rex and giga fight in the begginneg and the giga kill the rex after a long fight. And at thevens of the movie rex's mate avenges hire by killing the giga in a long, brutal, bloody, fight.
I'm not sure about Spino having a cameo in the movie. I think the only animals who do appear that aren't on the list that can be viewed by the public are Brachiosaurus and the raptors. And I know which skeleton you're talking about, but it doesn't look like an actual Spinosaurus skeleton. The neural spines don't match those of the new design, and they look a bit too short to me.
But I hope I'm wrong. I want Spino to be in the movie, especially if Suchomimus and Baryonyx are going to be in the park.
