Wild raptors, didn't think of that, but I get what you mean, It was dark, but after 2 veiwing I am almost certain it was Charlie since her camera went fuzzy. I straight up guessed it was Delta or Charlie since there was no scar like Echo.

I think it would be cool to see those 2 in the future!

LORD VADER - I see your point! The way in which you have described the differences greatly helps in my understanding of the situation! Thank you! :)

I have a different argument-

From what I saw, it looked like the two that helped defeat the I. rex looked a lot like the wild raptors.

Also, I thought Echo was blown up by the rocket. Eh, maybe it was the lighting... Or the fact that I wasn't paying too much attention to the details. I'll look for this stuff when I see it again.

(Also, I loved that Easter Egg list. I didn't notice a lot of them.)

Yes, like that, that is what I felt when in the movie they looked at each other after the mosasaur finished off the I-rex.

You can see it sometimes between animals of different species.

There is a sense of respect between the two, so at the very least they don't fight.

It does make sense though. The suspension has to be more rigid in order to sustain the load. Plus, if you're actually using it for offroad purposes, softer suspension won't hold up to the stress. It's like 1/2 ton trucks, 3/4 ton trucks and 1 ton trucks. The 1 ton is designed for hauling heavy loads, so the suspension is stiffer to withstand the stress of towing farm equipment and trailers. The 1/2 ton is more than anything your passenger truck that you throw the kid's hockey gear in the box, so the suspension is softer, giving you a smoother ride because they aren't designed for hauling huge loads. The 3/4 ton is a combination of the two. It doesn't ride as smooth as the 1/2 ton, it doesn't haul as much as the 1 ton, but they are plenty good for most applications. Our family vehicle is a 3/4 ton truck. We take that truck on long trips, but we also haul farm equipment with it.

It would be cool to see how they collaborate sometime again. They never fight or become "friends" but they acknowledge each other as their own apex predators.

401, that would be cool. Don't forget about Rexy. What if they formed a partnership of sorts? That would be cool to see.

LORD VADER - Wow! That is a great deal of work! It is extremely neat that your cousin owns a mechanic's shop! I find it interesting that the vehicle's profile after lifting actually makes its "ride" less smooth. Very interesting! Thank you so much for humoring my questions! :)

RAPTOR-401 - Oh, that would be neat! I would very much like to see a continuance related to the dinosaurs themselves! What an excellent and compelling premise you have presented! :)

It's got leafspring suspension, which is smooth from the factory. When it was lifted, the factory springs were replaced with larger springs that are also stiffer. That Jeep is solid. You hit a bump, you'll feel it. If you're ever in a vehicle that has soft suspension and doing donuts or drifting, you'll notice the vehicle leans one way or another. Whenever I'm doing donuts or drifting with that Jeep, it doesn't lean because of the suspension. It also has trailmaster shock absorbers which do take a good deal of the punishment. It's not a smooth ride by any means, but you have to make sacrifices. You want a smooth ride and good handling, don't lift it. You want ground clearance, you're giving up handling and smoothness.

Regarding how well the shocks work, when we were getting the Jeep safetied (you need a safety check to get a vehicle insured), my cousin (he's a licenced mechanic with his own shop) did the safety for us. We were talking to him when we picked it up, and he said do it handles really well given the height. He was expecting to have to keep counter steering to keep it on the road, but it drove like a fairly stock vehicle. It'll hit 60 MPH and drive with little trouble at that speed, which is good for a lifted vehicle.

I hope we somehow get to see the future of Blue.

Nice discussion!

LORD VADER - Aha! I see what it is you want to convey! That is extremely neat! You have stated that your jeep is raised. If I may ask, what sort of suspension/shock absorption system do you incorporate? :)

I wouldn't go that far SR. I'm not indestructible, and neither is the Jeep, but that bumper might be. Here's a better look at it. I bungee strapped the board to it to cover the license plate, no other reason, just for that purpose (people always cover or blur the license plates in pictures, so it's probably not a bad idea).

This picture was taken after I took the Jeep mudding, that's why it's so dirty. The bumper/bush bar is black.

I liked Blue.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did, I mean this is a big franchise.

Thanks SR. If you'd like to see dragon's breath in action, go to youtube and look it up, you'll find all kinds of results.

Never heard the term "Rock Hammer" before. Here, we call them bush bars. It's a tube steel bumper about as wide as the vehicle and usually a foot or two high to protect the grill and headlights on trails. That bumper in particular wasn't very strong, and has since been changed out to a larger one that, in the event that my Jeep were totalled (head on wreck or something), I would be reusing (provided I survive) on my next four wheel drive.

LORD VADER - That was a very neat chapter! I greatly enjoyed learning about the Dragon's Breath round! I would like to see one in action! As for your jeep: I believe you should definately paint it in a similar fashion to the JP vehicles! That would be extremely neat! As an aside: is that what is known as a "Rock Hammer" on the front of your vehicle? Thank you so much for sharing this very fun chapter with us! :)

Thanks.

I'll do the best I can for the stripes. Pretty sure if we do it, I'll just get some decals for the logos and numbers.

To give you an idea on how big the lift is, the rims on my Jeep and the JP Jeep are both 15". Look at the difference in the sidewall (area from what contacts the rim to the tread) height. On the front tire of my Jeep you can see where the rim ends and the tire begins. When I say that Jeep sits high, I mean it sits high.

Great chapter.

I say go for it, just make sure you make everything look in proportion when you paint it.

It's the same model as the JP Jeeps, just modded like crazy.

Guess I should have mentioned that if you have any questions about the Jeep, don't hesitate to ask, I know everything there is to know about that Jeep.

For the Jeep, I can see it in the JP colors. The model is pretty close.

True. It is Rexy, and her release was well done. That's just a minor complaint with the roar, it's not a deciding factor in how good I think the movie is. I could find all kinds of little things wrong* with the movie.

*by wrong, I mean not realistic, such as the Jeep's condition and starting up after 22 years. The thing started after turning over two or three times. They didn't have to play with the gas pedal to keep it running, the tires all had air, etc.

What was really nice was seeing one of those puppies in action and burning rubber (the tires did squeal a little, a result of breaking traction on concrete).

Lord VaderJurassic World ForumIs anyone else devastated that there won't be a T Rex / Spino rematch in JW??

I don't Rexredemption, T-Rex kicked some major ass, and if the Mosasaur wasn't there, she probably would've finished the job with a little help from the Velociraptor. That fight was awesome, no way around. T-Rex showed everyone who's worthy of the Rex name in her five minutes of screen time. I'd watch the movie several times for the fight scene alone. It was that damn awesome.

I was expecting that too, but I can't complain. Rexy is still Rexy.

Going to see the film again with my little cousin. He's a dinosaur enthusiast like me. Lol

They needed to use the final Rex roar from the original.

Other than that, no complaints.

Lord Vader I kow amount of practice  is going to give me a 100% chance of survival. But knowing all that stuff gives me a better chance for survival.

Something Real, it has been too long. Been busy. I hopefully wil be on more often.

Dude, I'm sorry, but it's not likely to happen.

Spinosaurus I think is down and out of the JP franchise. I doubt we are going to see it onscreen again after the backlash of JPIII.

T-rex knocked over the skeleton of Spinosaurus in Jurassic World and was a severe player in the I-rex's downfall; redemption enough. It would be more interesting to move on to different species now.

If you want to see a T-rex kill a Spinosaurus, watch the Primal Carnage trailer.

2K, no amount of practice is going to give you 100% accuracy. Sure, give me a tin can and I can nail it every time 700 yards out, but start moving that can, and it'll take some more practice (and timing) to be able to hit it. Now, start moving it in no particular pattern and over varying distances, good luck, you'll need it. As well, it may not seem to difficult, but hitting a Velociraptor that's running full tilt at you wouldn't be easy. Even with an automatic you may only hit once or twice.

Yeah, I'd probably visit to apply for a job that involves working with weapons at the park. Call me suicidal, I'd imagine the pay would be great. And I'd get to use cool guns.

Reply
Gojira2KJurassic World ForumIf JurassicWorld were real, would you go? -Cast Interview-

I would, yes.

But, I would take some serious precautions. Like practicing running, until I get a five-minute mile. Practice shooting a gun until I never miss, same with a bow. Pretty much anything that would allow me to survive if it goes wrong (like in the first and fourth movies).

I might be apprehensive, but yes I would go there. I would also work there if given the opportunity.
