I must agree with Paden. I don't see any of the first film's characters returning for any reason, except Wu. Wu is literally the only one with any reason to return to the island.
Ok.
Also forgot Rexy is the only Rex on Nublar sooooo yea.......
@Sci-Fi King25
It is 2018. Did you not read it?
@SkeleturtleTheBest
We don't even know if older animals can or can't. They can, most likely.
I'd have the concur.
We may get a Cameo, His name might be an involvement, But I doubt Sam Neil will reprise the chracter again. He's just been screwed over like, too many times in cannon. Same with Malcolm. Although he may play more of an administrative role, I doubt he'd ever go back to the island.
Now Ellie... She has reason to fear the islands, And cannon would dictate that she doesn't really have a huge reason to go. But she'd be an interesting character to send to the island.
The characters have all in a sense served their purposes of ever Returning to the islands. However, they can still play a role in future films, I just severely doubt that they'd actually do anything on the islands.
I can picture it now. A greying Doctor Malcolm turns on his heels as the Ingen copter lands, Unloading Owen, Dr.Grant, Dr. Satley, Dr. Claire, Dr.Harding... It'd make for a hell of a film, But would be EXTREMELY difficult to write...
I don't think he's going to be in it.
Great idea but Rexy is to old to have a mate.
Sounds interesting!, but I think your plot should take place in 2018
No Alan Grant? Im pretty sure Grant will be in the sequel.
Why would you kill off Rexy...?

^I think they were.
SCI-FI KING25 - This sounds like a fantastically fun idea! I would very much like to see it come to fruition! :)
Foetodons are from king kong... They literally couldn't put them in a JP/JW movie...
Umm... The first two never really made think of them as monsters. It showd them as animals.
Wanting to reproduce, feed, and simply live on. The 3rd one, not so much. The Lost World show how the T. rex's wanted to protect their baby at all costs. Not very monster like to me...
Jurassic World is of course, different, it wants to show how unnatural all the organisms are.
But the first Jurassic Park movie is not a monster movie to me, it shows mans consequences of trying to tamper and control nature.
Also, it explains in Jurassic World and Jurassic Park how they put frog DNA and other animals' DNA into the dinosaurs' gentic code, modifying them to lose feathers.
It really is not that hard to put two and two together folks.
Velociraptor is bigger because it was thought that Velociraptor was a sub-species of another dinosaur, and Spielberg wanted it bigger for movie purposes.
The Dilophosaurus was given a frill and venom to show the unpredictability of cloning extinct animals.
But that's just me.
Sounds interesting, looking forward to see what you come up with.
JURASSICWORLD - This is very compelling information! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! :)
I can't say I've ever heard of this. Now I want to see it.
It's been a SUPER long time since this forum has seen anything about JPO.
JPO was a fan project designed to tell the tale of Jurassic park prior to the film. They had made substainal progress before falling off the face of the earth a year or so ago.
I know that they had been trying to gather footage to film. They actually do have a Trailer out, That was released September 8 of 2014, so it's safe to say that the project is still in Existance and is moving foreward, Albiet, at a slow pace due to the small team working on it, and the heavy reliance on the fans for the production of the film.
It's a fan film, so, it's only 45 minutes long or so, And the Director used to work for ILM doing CGI. The project has been given a Lot of support.
I'll add some things to the discussion to help out about that. Thanks for bringing this to light, I'd thought the project had been C-D'd by Universal. Good to see it wasn't. NOT ONLY THAT, their facebook page is Incredibly active! The Footage provided Is Incredibly good, Even if it's mostly CGI.
The Film still is in production, and if you wish to support it they've got a Website with all the Details you could want!
JP Origins Website
Also, Another little Tid-Bit. Their page, Has not only been Recognized by the JP facebook page, But by Micheal Crichton's and Stan Winston Studios Facebook pages.
Cue end Spiel.
Cool story idea.
Disappointing...
The franchise was never meant to be a monster movie, even though that's how JP3 put it. The dinosaurs are just animals doing what they must to survive, they don't kill because it's just what they do.
I believe the scope's a Leupold FX-II Scout IER 2.5x28mm. About $300 from online retailers, plus another $50-60 for quality quick detach rings.
That's also another point I forgot to mention. They were clearly the smartest predators- however a lot of paleontologists state that they were not as smart as mammals or modern day birds.
I think it was a really fun, entertaining movie and I'm glad it's done so well in the box office. I don't think it had the integrity of the original - the characters were a bit annoying and the dialogue was terrible! But the effects were (mostly) great and it was really fun so I still loved it - at least they didn't Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull it!
How dare you say Isla Nublar Rexy is dead, she will never dead. Due to this film making 1 billion dollars and growing, the sequel will be released in about 2017-18 the longest.
It's an okay idea, but 2034 seems a bit long...
I agree that Kong would probably win, but the Indominus rex stands a pretty good chance.
^
Juvenile? then how come they are tall as King Kong?
it's a great idea - I'd love to find out about this too
ww just assume that there dinosaurs want to fight.
and no offense but your t.rex is far to large.
Why does the movie monster have to be a hybrid? Why can't it be a living creature like a large carnosau. They could kill a t.rex. You can make them look completely different from eachother to avoid confusion.
But it great idea and story!
@Gojira2k, because they were stronger than everything else? :P
@TREXFAN468
Welcome, and good points, here is my reasons.
1. Didn't they et the engine/gasoline from the broken vehicael where they found te helmet and Zach went "You're stronger, you hold it." ?
2. It would have been natural instinct, there is always a first time, you start somewhere, plus she wasn't fully grown so yeah.
3. They didn't communicate, just mutual respect, "Based on mutal respect." Owen and raptors are different, aren't they?
@NATEZILLA10000
4. I have said billions of times, that is for transportation, it would have been moved to a better loaction more than likely, plus for building and security purpose and transportation, it would be handy. There was a smaller door that Owen and the worker (His name is Ellis, LEGO game confirmed) run for, but she blocks their path.
5. They had the stun guns, they took down all the animals, eg the pachy's at the start. The I-Rex proved to strong for ACU, plus they had lethals if needed, I don't see the reason for stun guns, tranquilizers, sun rods and lethals.
6. They had the hotel away from mainstreet which acted as shelter for them, they probably would have had bunkers but were smaller like in the first movie, the park was open for 10 years and didn't need it, why would they get one?
7. The transport was boat, hence: "You got no more boats, you don't have enough guns!" That chopper was for Masrani and peronal staff.
Feel free to argue.
JPC
I am so done with the auto-logouts on this website. Liek so done. No rly. *grumble mumble*
Anyway...
1. Because how else would they have been able to drive it to safety?
2. It is likely that the raptor's communication is instinctual, as they communicated the same exact way in each movie, even though it was a different pack for each movie.
3. What everyone else said. They didn't communicate, they just respected the other enough to not try and kill eachother.
4. So that if it died or they had to transport it, they wouldn't have to call in a helicopter or tear down a wall in order to move it. The better question is why that particular door was open in the first place, as there were many smaller, man-sized entrances into the enclosure, to which the answer is so that the Indominus could escape.
5. Those stun-guns we saw are probably able to take down a T. rex, but the Indominus' literally bulletproof skin was simply to thick for them to do more than cause the monster some minor discomfort. I mean, this is a creature that took several 12 gauge shots from point blank and didn't even flinch. On top of that, it also survived sustained fire from an M134 minigun, a weapon which, mind you, fires 7.62x51mm bullets (which is more than enough to go through a car's engine block!), at a rate of fire anywhere from 33-100 bullets A SECOND.
6. They probably do. We just never saw them because none of the main-characters never had any reason to go to them. And honestly, an emergency shelter isn't the sort of thing you want to have on mainstreet at a theme-park. I mean, imagine if you went to Disney world and the first thing you saw was a bomb-shelter.
7. Did you watch the movie? The Ingen soldiers flew in on several helicopters. On top of that, the park itself almost certainly had more helicopters, and I'd like to say, once again, that just because we didn't see them, doesn't mean they weren't there.
But yeah, apparently when Hammond kept saying that they spared no expense, he was talking about the gasoline in their Jeeps. /s/
The V-Rexes were juveniles, no experience...(It says in the movie encyclopedia and also the toy labels it a juvenile) + I-Rex is more a challenge and has better weaponry, I think that 90 degreese bite would be more helpful angainst a large primate than a dino...
50/50
The guy took down 3 V. Rexes at the same time.
Kong's got this easy.
This is a late reply but... Why a THREAD BUMP!? lol...
The firsy of my spoof posts... This is honestly a milestone for me... I fully realised how I could post comedy in here... And I realized part of my creative abilities.
Funny how some people here mention how a Mosasaur would be cool...
Man, if I knew I would be soooo wrong with this discussion!
I never replied to all the statements that were made here. It is possible that raptors could have been less smarter than chickens, and it is very possible they could have been smarter than wolves, after all their EQ is quite staggering...
Hmm... The last post from what the legends speak of... (As in what many have said about you in the past...)
Well it still makes me a bit sad that I had not joined this forum sooner... I think I disocvered this site a couple of months prior to me joining.
I wonder what it would have been like, reading these fights. They do seem epic. Kind of interesting taking a "blast from the past"
I have found this discussion, almost 3 years old... Gives me an idea of how long some of you guys were around on here... Two months from this discussion I would ahev made a couple of posts...
Interesting how many of these you got right, heck, even spot on!
Long would surely win due to the fact that he is much larger. But in real life tge Dino would dominate, due to its better weaponry.
