Thanks Predator X! Who knows who will win next time???
Nice post, I agree with pretty much everything.
The Spino bombed in WW2 was hit by the allies, not Germans.
and giga had SOME depth-preception.
it was great and nw u-raptor would win. voting for giga next time.
I did say Spino had depth perception.
Spinosaurus was piscivorous. It hunted fish, and while the sensors on the end of its snout would be sufficient, Spinosaurus also had depth perception. This makes Spinosaurus perfect for fishing.
With Giganotosaurus, it didn't need depth perception as much as Rex or Spino because it took such huge prey.
Thanks guys! Glad you liked it :)
I kid you not, Alberta's full of hills...
But, That would sound like something interesting, A "Museum Exchange"...
I've never been to an American Palaeontolgy Museum, I really want to, Just to compare...
I went to one in Italia, It was really small, It was just the base of an Apartment, It was Impressive, But small.
Nice fight, wasn't rooting for either.
Rooting for Giga next time around.
Was rooting for Utah, rooting for Giga next time.
As well as binocular vision, what good would any predator be if it didnt have forward facing eyes? They NEED to see their prey in order to find it, but thwat also depends on if you are a snake or something that lives in a cave. Why didnt you state Spino had forward facing eyes? Its probably mandatory it does, especially for when its fishing.
Welcome to the JW forums. I'm Mr.Happy9097, one of the moderators here on JW. If you need help with anything at all, ask anyone here.
Yes, but some more so than others.
Hi, welcome to the forums, I'm Spinosaurus Rex, guess what my favorite dinosaur is lol.
Keep in mind, all predators have forward facing eyes.
Pretty bang on if you ask me.
MrHappy, I'm pretty sure it's 50 feet long and 6 tons, I think it's very accurate.
That's pretty cool. I was gonna say the same thing about the sharks if you didn't.
Just out of curiosity, what is Nat Geo's size for Spino?
Oxalaia is a neat little creature. Fun fact: it had two 'replacement' teeth behind the ones already in use, just like a shark. That is an unknown feature in other theropods.
Nat geo's spino size is pretty spot on imo.
Haha, that's painful. I'm pretty sure the guys here are more mature than that.
Just syaing I met one of those people when (regretflly) reading the comments section on a video from CinemaSins.
No clue what you're talking about, but I don't like the sound of it.
This is interesting. I agree with your estimates.
*Cough Cough
*Remembers commenter from yesterday on a CinemSins video.
Even those people aren't that easily offended.
I'll have to visit this place sometime!
Yah, but you never know, there are people who get easily offended on the Internet, i. e. Youtube commenters. But I don't think it would matter. Regardless of good post.
Doesn't seem to matter that much. I guess you have a point, just the same, doesn't seem to matter.
Interesting post, these creatures are one of the most famous dinosaurs.
If you want advice from me, I'll just say just to call the dinosaur by their names, not stuff like "Kings." I honest am 105% fine with it, but if you don't want a controversial post just call them by their nicknames: giga, Spino, Rex, etc.
Still, very well done though.
Couldn't have said it better myself Silver
Nice! I agree
P.S I agree with rex fan on tarbos size.
I like it when OP provides the links. It means I don't have to search for things myself.
Nice find.
Yeah, cheaper than going to Pittsburgh, haha
I know. At least driving to Alberta ($500 for one plane ticket for a family vs $500 in gas both ways, and I've got my own car then) would go through Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta would be a nice drive. Nice and flat, good a place as any to go all out with something, see how fast the car goes.
And Tarbosaurus eh? I've seen estimates between 10 and 12 meters long and 4-6 tons(which is what I have on my site).
At least the Royal Tyrrell is in Canada. You'd need a passport now to go see the Carnegie.
If only it was that easy. I probably won't be going to either until I can afford to go myself.
