Carnivore Conflict: Utahraptor vs Ceratosaurus

Utahraptor (Utah-predator)

Lenght: 7m (23 feet)

Height: 2m (6.5 feet)

Weight: 0.48 tons

Advantages: Smarter, faster, more agile and deadlier weaponry.

Disadvantages: Less robust and powerful.

Weapons: Foot long toe claws, razor sharp teeth and claws.

Bite force: Unknow, but probably not very high.

Ceratosaurus (Horned-lizard)

Lenght: 6m (20 feet)

Height: 2m (6.5 feet)

Weight: 0.75-1 tons

Advantages: More powerful, more robust and a larger bite force.

Disadvantages: Less inteligent, slower, less agile and worse weaponry.

Weapons: Large teeth and claws.

Bite force: Unknow, but much higher than the utahraptor's. 

Setting - In a parched salt lake, with a few mountains.

Fight:

A lone bull ceratosaurus wonders around his territory, snifing and patroling his borders. As he looks up lighting flashes and a sandstorm is swirling in the distance, he rears up and roars at it flashing his jaws at the wirlwind of sand. The sandstorm does nothing however a shrill roar answers back. The ceratosaurus swivels his head and scans the horizon, and to his fear a large male utahraptor appears from a mirage. They roar at each other, this fight is to the death.

The utahraptors's toe claws are upright, ready for slicing and the creatosaurus licks his teeth. As they approch closer and closer the ceratosaurus blindly charges, the utharaptor sees it coming and leaps out of the way. The creatasaurus skids forwards and turns around, angered he agian charges. The utahraptor this time stays put, they collide in a massive explosion of sand and the uthraptor goes flying back. He shreicks as his back collides with the tough terrain, but quickly gets up. This time he charges with incredible speed, the startled ceratosaurus doesnt have time to recact as the raptor leaps in to the air coming strait for him. The utahraptor roars as he lands on the forzen ceratosaur, and they both go hurtling back in to the dunes. 

In a furry of claw swipes and hissing they both try to injure eachother, finnaly the utahraptor lands his left toe claw. The ceratosaurus screams as the claw pierces his foot, and in sheer agony he thrusts his legs out and throws the raptor in to the dunes. Seconds later the soft sand explodes and the raptor tumbles down the dune. The wounded ceratosaur woozily gets to his feet and hastily charges the seemingly unconsious utahraptor. However the keen raptor sees it coming and rolls out of the way at the last second, catching the lumbering ceratosaurus off guard who goes straight into the dune. They both get up and back off, however the raptor eager to end this launches a attack. 

With lighting speed he charges the ceratosaurus, however to his horror the ceratosaurus sees it coming and smashes his flank into the utharaptor who goes sprawling on the floor. This time the ceratosaurus doesnt waist time, he lunges and opens his huge mouth waiting to taste blood. Eventhough the utahraptor saw and rolled away, it wasnt enough. The ceratosaurus landed and clamped his jaws on to the thigh of the huge raptor. The utahraptor shriecked in pain as the teeth dug in to his thigh, crushing tendons and veins. In pain he lashed out with his free foot and got a lucky strike, his sickle dug into the ceratosaurus lower jaw. The ceratosaurus let out a startled cry and ripped his head free, as he did that the claw ripped out causing extream pain. Both were coverd in crimson red blood and were almost fataly wounded. Finnaly the utahraptor got up and limped back, avoiding the thrasing ceratosaur. Finnaly their bloodshot eyes met, and the ceratosaurus charged, he had to end this.

The utharaptor looked on in horror as the ceratosaurus approched like a train, but he had one last move up his sleve. Using all his engry he leaped out of the way and counter attacked, using all his energy he jumped on to the ceratosaurus back. The utahraptor landed and instantly ripped at the flank of the ceratosaurus. The ceratosaurus wailed and bellowed as foot long claws ripped out his sides. Finnaly he lost his balance and fell, the utahraptor on top roaring in painful victory. However the ceratosaurus had one last attept, he roared and twisted his neck to try and bite the utahraptor. But he was cut short, silenced by the utharaptors sickle.

Winner: Utahraptor
