It's pretty obvious that Dilophosaurus will be in JW. I guess I'll find out tomorrow night. ;)
Well, this is actually the first review I've seen (I don't really browse for them because i often find that what the reviewer *Who've seen thousands of films and this is their job* Don't quite give the film it's dues where they're needed. The fan is different then the reviewer by a long shot,) But great to see one with such high regard for the film.
Bonus: No spoliers, Besides the grammar here and there, It was a fair review.
Now I'm looking foreward to it more.
@SpinoRulez I don't remember anything about No Dilo. Are you sure you read the same review... ?
No dilo?! Restricted area is empty...omg they just throw us these dino renders just to tease us for the next JW, anyway the movie will still be awesome :)
I have the soundtrack. It's quite excellent and the "Our Rex is Bigger Than Yours" track is one of my favorites.
Anyone notice The Lost World: Jurassic Park theme at 1:51 on that track? Sounds like Rexy's big comeback/finisher.
@Svanya. Hmmmm, if this is so it may take longer thank expect... if they add steam server integration I'll just wait. However A friendly YouTube named the gamingbeaver hosts a friendly server which I play a lot in... in the meantime I recommend everyone play there for PVE fun and I'll get my server running in about a month...
@Blue; Yep! I know, which is why I said it can't be played on a potato, heheh. If you host your own server the framerates tend to be better, servers cost around 40$ though.
Wow I didnt even notice that... That could be the area that we see dilophosaurus ;), Im almost sure that we will see at least one, Lego set, connected to barbasol, JP favourite and at last it's the only dinosaur that I can easily think to exist in the restricted area
@Svanya. It depends on your computer and what's happening in game. For instance lots of trees or a T-red stomping around will definitely lower your framerate
I am currently playing that, there are huge framerate issues for some players though, even on low settings. Just wanted to get that out there so people are aware they can't play it on a potato. Apart from that, it's an amazing game, I did link it on SB the day it was released, and it will cost more than the 27$ it currently is at when the game is out of Beta. (It's currrently in Beta) It's a better game that Rust. The devs are currently working on some fixes for the framerate issue and the blackscreen issues.
Perhaps. What I'm wondering is why she's in the credits.
@NYWadumela, do you mean that Rexy doesn't have her signature roars and growls? Not asking for a spoiler, yet if the JW crew never used the sound effects we know, then it's an insult to the franchise.
I mostly agree with you, I really enjoyed the film, I will watch it again this weekend. To me was better than JP3 and TLW and had the potencial to be better than the original but...
SPOILER ALERT
For the people who didn't watch it yet, don't expect new dinosaur species. I was hoping to see Baryonyx, Metriacanthosaurus, Microceratus or even good old Dilo, but only the former made an apearence in form of an hologram. That was one of the let downs of the film. Other was Rexy and raptors new designs, aswell the lack of memorable dinosaur sounds/roars.
Love "Welcome to Jurassic World". Brings me back to being a kid and a big fan of the films. Makes me feel a bit old. >.<
Now I'm excited as hell to see the film!!!
Yeah, I just listened to this, I really like it actually.
And, the title does indeed get me excited.
Very good to hear! I'm even more exited now as JeremyJahns's review made me slightly disappointed. I guess I'll see saturday... however may I ask does Suchomimus make an appearance?
I do have my twitter so.....
Thanks for sharing this Svanya! Personally, I don't care if dinosaurs are ever brought back (which they can't). There's so many cool Ice Age + recently extinct animals to clone!
TYRANNWRIGHT you were right, just saw the movie here in the Philippines, all I'll say is the final battle was AWESOME.
The Stegoceratops is just a fun little cameo, and will be released for the JW phone game. But it's only there for fun.
Rex doesn't need redemption. Just the same, having everyone's favourite tyrant take on this hybrid will be satisfying if you ask me.
It appears to be her. That's a pretty cool image.
NATEZILLA10000 - Your knowledge of genetic viability is quite impressive! Thank you for adding this information! :)
X_PADEN_X -
As much as I would love to think that, it's simply impossible. DNA has a half life of about 512 years, meaning that every 512 years, a sample of DNA will deteriorate by 50%; no matter what substance it's preserved in. After another 512 years, that 50% will deteriorate by another 50%. So on and so forth.
Dinosaurs are LONG gone. Their genetic code is well past the point of recovery.
Nonetheless, this is a very interesting find. It makes me wonder; does this help at all with determining if dinosaurs were cold or warm blooded? It would be nice to have that question definitively answered.
SAURORNITHOIDES - Hahaha! Nonsense, goofball! ;)
ADAMSAURUS= Welcome to Sci-fied. I cant really relate to this favorite dino talk, maybe because i really had no fave dino when i was young. :)
Something Real = Thank you for the compliments, i am not worthy. :)
Thanks, I did model it after how birds of prey usually feel the desire to find a mate.
X_PADEN_X - I greatly enjoy your enthusiasm! Additionally, I never consider anything you say to be "ramblings"; I find that it is always valuable to listen when you have something to say. :)
@Something Real
The way I see it, We give this twenty years or so, and we should by that time have advanced our genetic programs enough that we can begin to better understand a Genetic code. Thus, By examining the bits of code here, we can replicate it.
Of course... Ramblings.
ADAMSAURUS - You are most welcome! I understand exactly what you mean; it is the memories we hold that are the most important! I certainly hope you enjoy SCIFIED! :)
Thanks! I've been checking this site daily for months I just felt like i'd put in my 2 cents in this debate. I love the T-rex it was one of my favorite dinosaurs as a kid. I'm sure some were killed by other species at one point or another. I understand why people were mad about it but ruining childhood? Come on. I used to check out every dinosaur book from the library when I was a kid and one of them had a picture of my favorite dinosaur at the time being eaten by scavengers (compys?). My childhood remained intact. Haha! All in good fun though!
SKELETURTLETHEBEST AKA KAIJUSAURUS - Nevertheless, it would still be extremely compelling if what you proposed was made possible by this discovery! :)
Possibly in another film, but for now we must return to Nublar.
ADAMSAURUS - Welcome to SCIFIED! I happen to agree with your assertions; the one thing that is needed most is a good story! I do not care about grudge matches between extinct animals. Once again, welcome to SCIFIED! :)
I always kind of assumed that the T-rex that was killed in JP3 was the juvenile from The Lost World. It is on isla sorna so it is possible. I feel like the debate is unnecessary. The spinosaurus got a lucky shot in. Regardless the director only did that to make the spino scarier for the sake of the movie. I had a theory that they would go to Sorna as a last resort and get the spino. Long story short I feel like Dino fights are the least of what I want to see. I want story! 3 more days!
SKELETURTLETBEST AKA KAIJUSAURUS - That would be incredibly neat! Unfortunately, however, I believe the blood that has been discovered is incapable of offering viable DNA due to genetic breakdown. All that remains, from what I can tell, is a mold of the blood cells. :)
Then that means real life Jurassic Park? :D
