Thanks guys, that's really good to hear!
good list! and I totally agree , tyrannosaurus is my favorite but I like albertosaurus too :)
the largest complete ever found ;)
Yeah that could be an accurate way I agree
Wow.
Just wow.
It's beautiful.
Sue is still the largest, the estimates for T.imperator turned out to be overexaggerated
In my opinion it walked like this-

^Nice, Gorgo and Tarbo are honourable mentions for me
Well , based on facts there are more chances that it was bipedal so I agree ;) but spino was the largest by length and height, tyrannosaurus , carcharodontosaurus and giganotosaurus are larger in weight
Also, T.rex, Carcharodontosaurus, and Giganotosaurus are larger
Bipedal, but still pretty short
I read on many articles that trix was smaller than sue ;-; i just thought that who says it is bigger were just t rex fanboys. The mor 008 skull has been "modified" by spino in wonderland , in my own opinion it will be around the same size of sue and thank you for the compliment! :)
Hi there nice to see you here. Anyways you made several mistakes in your article above. First of all MOR 008, the skull of MOR 008 was thought to be 1.58 meters long so the higher estimates of this animal could not have been 14m.However the mystery of MOR 008 has been solved. The skull length has been reduced to1.35m due to inaccurate measurements but due to fragmentary remains we can't just estimate the size of the animal base off a skull and some bones remains. Paleontologist gave MOR 008 a size estimate of 12.2m to 12.5m, which is gigantic. Secondly regarding Trix. Trix was not disproven by experts to be smaller than Sue, since it was discovered in 2013 and only put out in display on 2016, I assume that maybe Paleontologists have not had the time to measure it officially yet as only estimations have been made which is peculiar for a specimen that is 70 to 75 percent complete. Paleontologist estimate a size range for, between 12m to 12.5m, the upper estimates suggest it to be possibly larger than Sue. I think you got all the things correct for Celeste and thank you for this wonderful article. Hope to hear from you again soon
Alphadino65,
You confused trix with mor 008 , mor is estimated to be that lenght, not trix and the fact that it has been refused is just an estimate just like this, I wanted just to talk about the original one, but I will make another topic about this soon :)
Well yeah I got confused by Scott hartman's post then, the toe bone is fragmentary as well and we can NOT estimate the size of that tyrannosaurus , if we have a skull like mor 008 's one we can use imagination even it will be 100% of the time unproved until we don't find a good skeleton
Also I said that it is just an ESTIMATE and to do not belive in that
Wiki proves that it is slightly smaller
MOR-008 is not TRIX. MOR is a Museum of the Rockies specimen, in Montana; TRIX is a specimen owned by Naturalis Biodiversity Center of Leiden, Holland.
Also, a skull alone will not give you a body length estimate. There is a lot of individual variation within every species. Each animal does not necessarily have precisely the same proportions for each of it's body parts.
What is your source material stating that Trix is slightly smaller than Sue? Everything I have read states that Trix has a body length between 39.5 and 41 feet long, and Sue's body length is within that range.
As well, isn't "Celeste" just a toe bone? The skull you showed is that of MOR 008, and that skull's size has been refuted. This link describes it.
could you tell me what do you think about my new post of t rex bigger than sue? i need an opinion of an honest person like you
I completely agree with all infos you gave me, you are the first one that show credible sources (in my opinion it is a 50/50 with a little chance in more or rex because it is slightly larger but it is just my opinion).
Are you saying that I am smarter than other people on this topic? then I should be less pessimist xD and thank you!
We all learn more as time goes on, there are things you know about that i don't have a clue of, so you can't just surpass yourself as being dumb man, you are smarter on this topic than millions or perhaps billions of people are.
But as far as the winner here, it's basically stabber vs slicer, T-Rex being the stabber and Giga being the slicer. They are both good at what they do in their own right when it comes to their killing technique (of course, both biting, but different ways of killing prey).
However, when it comes down to choosing a winner for either of the two... very touchy, but I'd imagine the Giga is probably faster given it's more athletic build (judging by skeleton) and being more slender compared to the T-Rex. Given that statement, the Giga would probably be able to flank better and turn more reasonably at a higher speed, thus being able to attack on more occasions than the T-Rex would.
Furthermore, the constant slashing and cutting from the Giga's bite would slow down the T-Rex exponentially with each bite inflicted due to blood loss. However, if the Rex were to bite the Giga's leg early on, the deep puncture wound certainly cause a great deal of pain and slow the Giga down as far as being able to flank, bringing it to more the speed of the Rex.
From that point on, they should both be able to battle it out head to head and if either got a few good bites to the neck, that would spell the end for either one (the Giga, again, causing the Rex to bleed out from the neck and wouldn't take long due to the amount of blood coming from the wounds and on the Rex's hand stabbing deep into the Giga's neck and weakening it gravely).
Now for the big decision... given all of the listed info... I kinda feel like it'll go more in Giga's favor due to the info in my second paragraph, perhaps 65-35 or 60-40 in its favor.
aww thank you for the nice comment!:) and well when someone tells me that I am wrong...I just think it is my fault and I start calling me like that...
Gladiator, just because you don't know something doesn't make you stupid. I don't know how to fly an airplane, but that doesn't make me stupid, it's just that everybody knows more about certain things than others.
I posted two of these by a mistake, how can I delete one?:(
Double post. Locking.
Well maybe the size comparison is still used xD and yeah i just typed a stupid thing
T.rex wins this fight
Not a prob bruh, it's a kind of topic that isn't really brought up much anymore (dinosaur vs dinosaur), so it is certainly a pleasure. I'm arguing in contrast to the "anything that enters a T-Rex's mouth is dead meat" bit.
But the entire dominum lineage is Tyrance's b!tch xD
Considering that T.rex had perfect binocular vision, could smell up to 50 miles away and identify exactly what it was smelling and when it was there, could run up to 25 mph, had 60 teeth the size of daggers, weighed 8 tons or more, and could bite with the force of 20-50,000 pounds of pressure--I think the T.rex would win :).
