This is one of the many questions which paleontologists tried to find an answer.
First of all : who is Sue?
She is the "largest" tyrannosaurus known and she was discovered in the summer of 1990. It's the most famous trex and the most complete, she stays at the Field science museum in Chicago and it's the t rex who gave inspiration to the famous film "jurassic park".
She is 12.3 meters long and almost 4 meters tall, she is larger than the largest complete giganotosaurus ever found ( holotype/type) too by recent discoveries.
Sue is also considered to be a record for a tyrannosaurus's size, however new evidence has come to show that she isn't the largest tyrannosaurus, just the most complete.
The specimens supposed to be larger than her are in total 3 , one is called "celeste" or "trix".
This giant after have been discovered is was supposed to be larger than Sue, but some experts think that it is just slightly smaller... in my opinion it is the same size
Another one, is just based on a small jaw fragment , considered to be "larger" than Sue's one. Well, I personally think that just a jaw fragment can't prove that it is bigger, we need a full skeleton to prove that.
Now we have the last one, the great point.
MOR 008 which we have a full large skull
This is the largest tyrannosaurus skull ever found in the history of paleontology and probably the biggest ever.
MOR 008 is less fragmentary than most of the other tyrannosaurus specimens estimated and less than the giganotosaurus paratype one (I will talk about it on another topic don't worry;)
It's skull is some centimeters longer than Sue's one and it weighs some kgs more , by the size it is estimated to be 14 meters long ( 50 ft) , by the way this is disproven by some paleontologists that classify it 12.52 meters long, someone say that it is larger than Sue , well it could be around the same size and larger than the giganotosaurus holotype for sure just like sue.
To
As conclusion, I suggest to you all to do not believe 100% these estimations, these are just estimations and opinions, they could be right as they could be wrong.
So at this question I would say that mor 008 could be around the same size of sue or slightly larger
but if someone asks me " Is sue the largest tyrannosaurus, yes or no?" I will answer "We haven't many evidences of tyrannosaurus larger than sue so this is actually unproven."
Comment below of what you think about this and share your opinion if you want :)

MemberTriceratopsMay-04-2017 12:28 PMWhat is your source material stating that Trix is slightly smaller than Sue? Everything I have read states that Trix has a body length between 39.5 and 41 feet long, and Sue's body length is within that range.
As well, isn't "Celeste" just a toe bone? The skull you showed is that of MOR 008, and that skull's size has been refuted. This link describes it.

MemberCompsognathusMay-04-2017 3:18 PMMOR-008 is not TRIX. MOR is a Museum of the Rockies specimen, in Montana; TRIX is a specimen owned by Naturalis Biodiversity Center of Leiden, Holland.
Also, a skull alone will not give you a body length estimate. There is a lot of individual variation within every species. Each animal does not necessarily have precisely the same proportions for each of it's body parts.

MemberTriceratopsMay-04-2017 10:10 PMWell yeah I got confused by Scott hartman's post then, the toe bone is fragmentary as well and we can NOT estimate the size of that tyrannosaurus , if we have a skull like mor 008 's one we can use imagination even it will be 100% of the time unproved until we don't find a good skeleton

You confused trix with mor 008 , mor is estimated to be that lenght, not trix and the fact that it has been refused is just an estimate just like this, I wanted just to talk about the original one, but I will make another topic about this soon :)

MemberCompsognathusMay-05-2017 7:24 AMHi there nice to see you here. Anyways you made several mistakes in your article above. First of all MOR 008, the skull of MOR 008 was thought to be 1.58 meters long so the higher estimates of this animal could not have been 14m.However the mystery of MOR 008 has been solved. The skull length has been reduced to1.35m due to inaccurate measurements but due to fragmentary remains we can't just estimate the size of the animal base off a skull and some bones remains. Paleontologist gave MOR 008 a size estimate of 12.2m to 12.5m, which is gigantic. Secondly regarding Trix. Trix was not disproven by experts to be smaller than Sue, since it was discovered in 2013 and only put out in display on 2016, I assume that maybe Paleontologists have not had the time to measure it officially yet as only estimations have been made which is peculiar for a specimen that is 70 to 75 percent complete. Paleontologist estimate a size range for, between 12m to 12.5m, the upper estimates suggest it to be possibly larger than Sue. I think you got all the things correct for Celeste and thank you for this wonderful article. Hope to hear from you again soon

MemberTriceratopsMay-05-2017 11:00 AMI read on many articles that trix was smaller than sue ;-; i just thought that who says it is bigger were just t rex fanboys. The mor 008 skull has been "modified" by spino in wonderland , in my own opinion it will be around the same size of sue and thank you for the compliment! :)
