Pretty good rooting for the spinosaur but Tarbosaurus is cool to
ReplyThe forgotten kingJurassic World ForumDilophosaurusOct 15, 2013
Hopefully it won't be a rip off like ceratosaurus
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumDeltaFights Bonus Fight: An Old Fight with a TwistOct 15, 2013
I used what I thought was right, also the max estimates for each of them. Also, I know that the pics are rex vs Spino, but I couldn't get the Tarbo vs Oxalaia, and besides, their close enough. Its Tarbo vs Oxalaia, pretend.
ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic World ForumDilophosaurusOct 15, 2013
There's a good chance it will be. Dilophosaurus was one of the classic Nublar dinosaurs. Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor are also classic Nublar dinosaurs. I'm sure we'll see all three in some way.
ReplyLord VaderJurassic World ForumDilophosaurusOct 15, 2013
With the return to Nublar, it is hopeful. It would be interesting to see it in the movie.

The Tarbo size is reasonable, and the Ox size is about equal to my Spino size opinion
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumDeltaFights Bonus Fight: An Old Fight with a TwistOct 15, 2013
Both were Rex and Spino, but close enough :)
I was rooting for Tarbosaurus. While I think your Ox size is a little high(40 ft and 5 tons for me), your Tarbo was pretty close to my estimate. Good fight overall :)
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThomas The T-rex: Why It's Important To T-rex SizeOct 15, 2013
Keep in mind he was only 34 ft at 17. But Thomas's projected adult size is debatable simply because it's estimates.
As far as C. Rex and F. Rex go, that's possible. However, as long as their genus remains Tyrannosaurus, then their sizes still increase the overall size for Tyrannosaurus as a whole. If that makes sense.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumDeltaFights Bonus Fight: An Old Fight with a TwistOct 15, 2013
Good fight. As per usual, I was rooting for the Tyrannosaur. Thanks for the mention. That last picture is a Rex/Spino one, but Ox and Tarbo is are pretty close to Rex and Spino, so I'll call it Tarbo and Ox.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThomas The T-rex: Why It's Important To T-rex SizeOct 15, 2013
You know rex fan, C. Rex and F. Rex could be a different, but similar species of tyrannosaur. They have that with Tarbosaurus and Z-tyrannus, so I'm wondering if that are different tyrannosaurs. Also, if Thomas was a teenager, and around 17, I think he could have gotten to about 41 feet by the time he's 18, at least. And given another twelve years, I bet your looking at a tyrannosaur at least 44 feet long, which is a both what my max estimate for them is.

Thanks Dinosteve! I made it and it turned out great. Not as good as yours, but for a first (accually I did it twice, the first looked like a squashed face) attempt, I'd say it looks really good.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 15, 2013
Yeah, I found it very interesting.
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 15, 2013
I read about it. It's an italian dinosaur, nicknamed Cirus. By this picture you can clearly see its guts...
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 15, 2013
That's a nice one. Very well preserved.
Here's the really well preserved dinosaur Scipionyx...

ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThomas The T-rex: Why It's Important To T-rex SizeOct 15, 2013
Nope, Stan was a little over 40 ft.
Anyways, one or two pictures does not mean it's true. Going by pics can be dangerous(Horror Mouth and company for example). They've been considered Tyrannosaurus' for many years now. Suddenly, their validity as such is questionable? Seems strange to me.
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 15, 2013
Also I found this pic on the web.
It is a Sciurumimus, a very beautiful well-preserved fossil.

Those are awesome fossil images Rex Fan! Really beautiful.
Being a fan of Alien, I can see why H.R. Giger loved to use bones in his sculptures. Aspects of these images remind me of the design for the Alien & Space Jockey!

Glad to hear that DinoFights. This means that the tutorial put off.
You're welcome Lone. I just thought it would be cool to share some useful steps for drawing Tyrannosaurus. ;)

Aww thanks DinoSteve! Now everyone can have their own, precision drawn T-Rex!! :-D

Black Beauty is clearly the people's favourite. Mine too.

Agree.;) I think and I hope that Triceratops will have a major role in Jurassic World.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumDinosaur drawing tutorial with DinoSteve93 - 1st lesson - part 1Oct 15, 2013
I tried and did a decent job. Mine looks bad on shading but everything else is fine and so I'm pretty happy with my final result haha
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumThomas The T-rex: Why It's Important To T-rex SizeOct 15, 2013
I thought Stan was 39 feet?
Anyway, yeah, but F. Rex and C. Rex appear to be carcharodontosaurids judging by photographs that recently surfaced.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 15, 2013
Definitely black beauty. I don't know why, but the fossil just strikes me as awesomely gorgeous.
ReplyAlexisMurphyJurassic World ForumJurassic World (Jurassic Park 4) Cast and CharactersOct 15, 2013
I really love all of the original cast, but I would really love to see Joseph Mazzello come back as Tim. He's at a great age for it now, and I think it would be a nice link to the first film!
There's even a Facebook page campaigning for it (not mine, I just like the idea!)
As a massive JP fan from the first time I saw it, I hope for all of our sakes it's awesome! :)

That's pretty cool, and I would big time.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
Well, most complete. Largest is debatable(C. Rex and F. Rex) ;)
If you ever get the chance to go to the AMNH, Smithsonian, or Carnegie, take it. They are really nice museums. The AMNH and Smithsonian have the "standard" kind of mounts where the skeletons are kinda just standing there, while the Carnegie has them in different environments and "interacting" with each other.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
Tyrell be number 1 for me, then the Chicago field museum, for obvious reasons. One of the prettiest Rex fossils, then the largest Rex fossil.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
The Royal Tyrell is the museum I want to go to the most. Been to the Carnegie, AMNH, Smithsonian, and Maryland Science Center. The Tyrell is the one I want to go the most now. The Chicago Field Museum is also high on my list.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
I know, I remember reading it was one of the largest in the world. The day I go there is one I'll never forget.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
It is.
American Museum of Natural History
Smithsonian Institute
Carnegie Museum of Natural History
Those are the top 3 largest in the US and the AMNH is the biggest in the world with the other 2 being up there too. The Tyrell one is really large as well.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
That's pretty cool Paden, isn't the Tyrell one of the largest in the world?
Replyx_paden_xDinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
Black Beauty truly is a beautiful fossil, I've seen it with my own eyes--
Sometimes I forget I live next to the biggest dinosaur museum in canada...
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe Most Beautiful FossilsOct 14, 2013
Black Beauty is my personal favourite. T-Rex, Canadian, one of a kind, how could you go wrong?
ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic World ForumTriceratopsOct 14, 2013
That's a common theory. It will almost surely come back in some way.
ReplyLord VaderJurassic World ForumTriceratopsOct 14, 2013
Maybe at some point in the movie, they could have a Rex/Trike fight. Rexy vs Lady Margaret for example. That would be the best.
