So, with many fossils found, what are the most beautiful? Here's a couple of my favorites... Black Beauty is my personal favourite. T-Rex, Canadian, one of a kind, how could you go wrong?

Black Beauty truly is a beautiful fossil, I've seen it with my own eyes-- Sometimes I forget I live next to the biggest dinosaur museum in canada...

That's pretty cool Paden, isn't the Tyrell one of the largest in the world?

It is. American Museum of Natural History Smithsonian Institute Carnegie Museum of Natural History Those are the top 3 largest in the US and the AMNH is the biggest in the world with the other 2 being up there too. The Tyrell one is really large as well.

I know, I remember reading it was one of the largest in the world. The day I go there is one I'll never forget.

The Royal Tyrell is the museum I want to go to the most. Been to the Carnegie, AMNH, Smithsonian, and Maryland Science Center. The Tyrell is the one I want to go the most now. The Chicago Field Museum is also high on my list.

Tyrell be number 1 for me, then the Chicago field museum, for obvious reasons. One of the prettiest Rex fossils, then the largest Rex fossil.

Well, most complete. Largest is debatable(C. Rex and F. Rex) ;) If you ever get the chance to go to the AMNH, Smithsonian, or Carnegie, take it. They are really nice museums. The AMNH and Smithsonian have the "standard" kind of mounts where the skeletons are kinda just standing there, while the Carnegie has them in different environments and "interacting" with each other.

Those are awesome fossil images Rex Fan! Really beautiful. Being a fan of Alien, I can see why H.R. Giger loved to use bones in his sculptures. Aspects of these images remind me of the design for the Alien & Space Jockey!

Also I found this pic on the web. It is a Sciurumimus, a very beautiful well-preserved fossil.

I read about it. It's an italian dinosaur, nicknamed Cirus. By this picture you can clearly see its guts...

I was in Italy a year ago or so-- and i was disappointed by the size of their museums (course i was expecting like tyrell sized museums so go figure) HOWEVER they did make up for it in unique specimens not from north america... And Yes i do believe it is either the biggest in the world or one of the biggest... Which is nice, when they have the money they change it up a lot... which is also nice because i only go there every few years... One day... My dream job is to be a palaeontologist gathering fossils for the tyrell

The AMNH is the biggest in the world. I'm pretty sure the Smithsonian comes out ahead of the Tyrell as well. Now, the Tyrell is up there(certainly in the top 10), as is the Carnegie. The Natural History Museum in London and the Chicago Field Museum are probably high on the list as well.

I visited only italian museums so far. And they're pretty small, not comparable to american or brittish museums. Wish one day I can visit one of the museums listed above :)

I'm sure you'll get your chance. I highly recommend the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, PA.

Yes, my home state. The Academy of Sciences in Philidelphia is also very nice(although I haven't been to it). I want to go there soon. Maybe next summer.
