MemberCompsognathusDec-03-2012 4:38 PMIn my honest opinion, Johnston sucks as a director. JPIII was good, but it would've been soooooo so much better if Spielberg took the role of director again. Why in the name of all thats holy would he allow Johnston to direct this one too? I really, really reallllly hope JPIV is amazing. Godly, unlike JPIII. But thats just me!
I have strong faith that Johnston gets his act together and makes a kickass film. If he doesn't, I will personally strangle him to death.

Although this was the initial report, Joe Johnston is not yet signed to do JPIV.

MemberCompsognathusApr-12-2013 7:43 PMI think that Speilberg was better, only bc of one thing; Joe tried to inform people of other Dino's besides the popular ones, like t-Rex. However, he took it too far. I mean, They were already on both islands and there was no indication whatsoever that another giant predator was on the island, which could be explained. But if in JP3 all you see is Spino Spino Spino, then something is wrong.

MemberCompsognathusMay-09-2013 2:49 PMJohnston is not a bad director. He isn't an exceptional one either but when he has a good script for the movie he does a fine job. I liked Captain America and Jumanji. But JP3 just had a very shallow plot and character development. And that contributed way more to the mediocre quality of JP3 than his directional talent.
