Jurassic World: Evolution 2 New Creature Wishlist. What Would You Like To See?
SasquaDash
MemberBrachiosaurusJun-27-2021 8:30 AMThe anticipated sequel to Jurassic World: Evolution is set to release later this year. The game is set to have 75 species at launch and will likely introduce more in later DLCs. The game will introduce more variety in the creature list, adding more flying creatures (not just Pteranodon) and marine creatures (specifically the long awaited Mosasaurus). Two new "terrestrial" dinosaurs added to the game are Coelophysis and Amargasaurus. With the speculation of what new species will be implemented to the game, I was wondering, what new creatures you would like to see?

MemberBrachiosaurusJun-27-2021 11:49 PMSinosauropteryx and gorgonopsids (i know theres a mod but thats just a mod)
SasquaDash
MemberBrachiosaurusJun-28-2021 7:36 AMThose are pretty good choices (especially gorgonopsid). I'm a little wary about small dinosaurs, like Sinosauropteryx, since the compys in the original game were pains (especially if they got sick)
*flashback of me spending 20 minutes trying to dart one*
Personally, I would love to see more "non-dinosaurs" to add more variety.

MemberBrachiosaurusJun-28-2021 2:22 PMI would love to see Cenozoic creatures in the game, although I feel like they should hold off at least for now, maybe in a future DLC.

MemberAllosaurusJun-28-2021 4:20 PMWait I always thought of the Jurassic Park series as being strictly focus on Mesozoic animals

MemberAllosaurusJun-28-2021 4:45 PMBut why no cenozoic, they need some love

MemberBrachiosaurusJun-28-2021 5:59 PMi just want more synapsids
SFR POWERRRR!
also yeah small dinosaurs seem like they could be (ive not played the game ;0;) but i just like Sinosauropteryx a lot

MemberBrachiosaurusJun-29-2021 6:51 PMSinosauropteryx would be a cool addition, although the option of customizing it's appearance/color/patterns would be weird, considering that we kind of know what color it most likely was. Also I feel like they would be a little too similar to the Compsongnathus.

MemberBrachiosaurusJun-29-2021 6:53 PMI mean, well this is a fictional world and these are genetically modified/created animals so i guess that helps
and the default would still be the same probably (ginger with white and/or black)

MemberBrachiosaurusJun-29-2021 7:09 PMTrue, although unfortunately there are a lot of people that constantly bash Jurassic Park/World for inaccuracies and if the game implemented Sinosauropteryx and had the option to change it's known coloration/patterns, I could see these people using it as an excuse to further bash the series, accusing it of "not caring about paleontology" and "disrespecting the fossil record".
I guess that's the problem with having more complete knowledge of a dinosaur's appearance. One the positive side, we know more about how it looked, on the negative side it takes away most creative freedom in its portrayals...

If we're bringing Giga so late, make it just a Dino Crisis 2 clone and have it solo everything on the planet. The whole movie is just us watching it one shot everything.
If people weren't lazy, we wouldn't try to be efficient. If we weren't efficient, we'd never get anything done.

MemberCompsognathusJul-12-2021 2:50 AMI would like to see a microraptor or an aquilops. I think this game needs some more small species. There is a museum near our property in Italy and they are keeping an aquilops skeleton there. I'm being amazed every time I see it.
