Yutyrannus Vs. Yangchuanosaurus (EDB Season 2 Part.3)

Got some new glasses,meaning i could read some information better,im trying to do what TheLazyFish said,but im gonna fail at trying that.EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles.Part.3 means that this is the 3rd battle.

The information about Yutyrannus:

Yutyrannus is a dinosaur which lived approximately 130 million years ago during the early Cretaceous Period. It was first named in 2012 in China by Xu Xing and named Yutyrannus—a name which means “feathered tyrant.” It was named this because the rock beds upon which these dinosaurs were preserved, also managed to preserve direct evidence that these dinosaurs had feathers. One of the largest dinosaur species to be proven to have had feathers.

These bipedal carnivores were about 30 feet long and weighed approximately 1 to 2 tons. They also had 35 inch skulls and are considered a basal tyrannosauroid, While it is known that these dinosaur’s had feathers, little else is known about their hunting style or how they lived.

An interesting fact about Yutyrannus is that some paleontologists have concluded that these dinosaurs did indeed hunt in packs—as evidenced by the discovery of two young Yutyrannus with an adult. However, this belief isn’t shared by everyone. Some people believe that these dinosaurs were ruthless competitors who would savagely attack each other over the same carcass.

Why Yutyrannus had feathers is something that is currently known. Some paleontologists have asserted that they had feathers to keep them warm in colder climates. If this was indeed the case, then that would probably mean that these dinosaurs were warm blooded like birds are today. They would have then needed the feathers to insulate themselves.

The information about Yangchuanosaurus:

Yangchuanosaurus is a dinosaur that was discovered in June of 1977 in China during the construction of the Shangyou Reservoir Dam. In 1978, it was named “Lizard from Yang-ch’uan, China” by Dong Zhiming. It’s believed that this dinosaur lived approximately around the late Jurassic period to the early

Cretaceous period – approximately 163 to 145 million years ago.

Some interesting facts about Yangchuanosaurus include the fact that not only was this dinosaur an apex predator but that it also may have hunted in packs. Carnivorous dinosaurs have long been thought to hunt alone but this dinosaur may have been the exception to the rule. If it did hunt in packs, like lions, then it would have been a most formidable foe and capable of taking down just about any dinosaur it chose as prey.

As you can tell from the Yangchuanosaurus pictures, this dinosaur was large and fierce. It was approximately 33 feet long and weighed as much as 5200 pounds. It had a large and bony skull which was approximately 3.5 feet long and had dagger-like teeth. Its arms were short with 3 claws on each one and it ran on two very muscular legs that had 3 clawed toes. It also had a very long tail, which was about half its length, which it could have used as a weapon.

Yangchuanosaurus was a carnosaur, which puts it into a group of dinosaurs known for their high intelligence (determined by comparing brain size to body size). This means they were probably very intelligent hunters which could use some form of basic planning to hunt and kill their prey.

High intelligence, a powerful body and a high running speed probably made this dinosaur one of the top predators of its time. It was probably able to take down even the largest of sauropods. It definitely would’ve been a dinosaur that most other dinosaurs would have avoided.

The battle begins!

In the snowy peaks of the mountains,a lonely Yutyrannus was trying to find prey,he wasn't prepared to start hunting,because his parents died when they were teaching him how to hunt...He then found a baby Stegosaurus,the baby Stego wasn't being protected by it's parents.Then the Yuty bit the Stego's tail,it sure hurt in the mouth,but he did not give up,with all his strength he managed to drag the Stego to a bush and ate him,he finally learned how to hunt.

A specific Dino was dominant in the snowy peaks of the mountains,it was an Yangchuanosaurus,it killed Dinosaurs for sport whether large or small.He was freezing because of the cold temperature,all it wanted was to kill,it also caused him to kill his siblings and parents,he would never have mercy.It saw a group of Velociraptors,it then crushed one of the Velos and bit a smalled Velo,the remaining two jumped on the back of the Yang,he shaked them off his back and crushed them,he then ate them.

Suddenly the Yuty heard some weird sounds coming from somewhere near,he saw a big Yangchuanosaurus eating small Velociraptors,the Yang stopped eating the Velos and rushed to the Yuty to kill him.Without knowing what to do,the Yuty quickly dodged the attack and bit the Yang in the tail,but the Yang quickly released his tail and bit the Yuty in the neck,the Yuty quickly tried to release himself but he didn't have the strength to release himself so he hit the Yang's head by using his head and pushed him away.

The Yang noticed that his enemy was worth the kill so he bit the Yuty in the legs and tried to crush his enemy's skull,but the Yuty got back up and saw a log behind the Yang so he pushed the enemy.The Yang tripped over the log and hit his head to the ground,the Yuty then bit his enemy's head and mashed it into the log until the Yang died,when he killed the Yang,he thought that his dead parents would be proud of him,then he became the dominant Dino from the snowy peaks of the mountains.

Winner:Yutyrannus

Reason:The Yang might have been bigger and had bigger claws,but the Yutyrannus i bet had a bigger bite force and he might have been more faster
