Giganotosaurus Vs. Carcharodontosaurus (EDB Part.1)

So this is something that i created, called EDB,which stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles,Part.1 means this is the first battle of EDB.

The information about Giganotosaurus:

  • Giganotosaurus had a 6 foot long head—as big as the average human!
  • This dinosaur could swallow a human being in one bite
  • It had almost 80 serrated teeth
  • Its largest teeth were 8 inches long
  • This dinosaur was as almost as long as a railroad car.

    About Giganotosaurus

Roaming what is now modern-day Argentina, the Giganotosaurus is one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs to have ever walked the planet. This animal stood 12 feet tall at the hips, had a length of 43 feet and weighed about 8 tons. This not only makes it larger than the T Rex, but it also makes it quite a bit heavier. Not quite as big as Spinosaurus, but significantly bigger than the Tyrannosaurus.

Fortunately, these two dinosaurs never existed at the same time or the same place. The Giganotosaurus lived 30 million years before the T Rex—during the late Cretaceous period—and lived in South America while Tyrannosaurus lived in North America.

Not only is Giganotosaurus bigger than the T Rex, it is also believed to have been faster. Computer simulations have shown that the Tyrannosaurus could achieve a top speed of approximately 18 mph. On the other hand, Giganotosaurus is believed to have reached speeds of up to 20 miles per hour.

Giganotosaurus was discovered in 1993 by Rubén Dario Carolini in Southern Argentina. However, this skeleton was far from being complete. It was only about 70 percent complete and only contained fragments of the skull, hips, back and leg bones. It was named in 1995 by Rodolfo Coria and Leonardo Salgado. The name of this dinosaur literally means “giant southern lizard”.

The information about Carchardontosaurus:

  • Could swallow a human in one bite
  • Could run about 25 MPH
  • As long as four car links
  • Weighed as much as 2 Asian Elephants
  • Teeth as long as a butcher knife

About Carcharodontosaurus

Carcharodontosaurus is a dinosaur that lived approximately 100 million years ago during the mid- Cretaceous Period. It was first discovered in 1927 by Charles Depéret and J. Savornin in Northern Africa. When it was first discovered, it was originally named Megalosaurus saharicus, but was later changed by Ernst Stromer von Reichenbach to Carcharodontosaurus in 1931. This was done because the teeth reminded him of the teeth of the shark genus Carcharodon. It’s name literally means “shark toothed lizard.”

The original fossils found during the 1930s were eventually destroyed by bombing during World War II and paleontologists had to rely on the written descriptions of these animals. However, that changed when another fossil of this creature was discovered in 1996. This specimen was even larger than the original one was.

Carcharodontosaurus is believed to have been a fearsome predator. It was about 44 feet long, 13 feet high at the hips and could weigh as much as 7 ½ tons. While its huge size gave it a predatory advantage, the really fearsome aspect of this dinosaur is its head. It had a head that was almost as long as the average human male was tall—about 5 feet long—and was filled with 8 inch razor sharp teeth. This allowed it to be the apex predator during its time, easily preying on herbivores such as the Ouranosaurus.

While this dinosaur was likely the top predator in its ecosystem, that doesn’t mean that it didn’t have to compete with other top carnivores. Fossils of this creature have been found in some of the same areas that Spinosaurs and Sarcosuchus dinosaurs were found. Most likely, these 3 carnivores were fierce competitors and had to battle each other for territory.

The Battle Begins!

So a Carchadontosaurus was eating an Rebbachisaurus, then he heard a loud roar, like as loud as a bomb testing siren, then the large male Giganotosaurus appeared,Carcha roared loudly to try and scare the Giga, but it didn't work. Then Carcha and Giga ran to eachother, then the Giga hit the Carcha with it's tail, then the Carcha bit the Giga's tail, and it also bit the Giga's hand, but the Giga defended himself from the other bites, and then he bit the Carcha's neck, the Carcha tried to use his claws to free himself, but it didn't work, and then the Carcha lost a lot of blood from the neck wound, and then, the Carcha died because of losing blood, then the Giga ate the Carcha.

Winner:Giganotosaurus

Reason:The Giga was bigger,it had a larger bite force and it basically was faster.

Carnotaurus Vs. Tyrannotitan (EDB Part.2)

So EDB Part.2 is the second battle from the series:EDB.EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur battles.

The information about Carnotaurus:

  • The Carnotaurus can run as fast a kangaroo can hop
  • It weighed as much as 10 gorillas
  • Had tiny arms like a T Rex
  • Only one fossil of this dinosaur has yet been found
  • It knobby horns may have been used for combat.

    About Carnotaurus

Carnotaurus is a dinosaur which lived approximately 72 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period. It was first discovered in 1984 by José Bonaparte in Argentina. Because of the bony horn like protrusions from this dinosaur’s skull, it was given the name Carnotaurus, a name which means “flesh eating bull.”

This dinosaur was approximately 30 feet long, stood 10 feet tall and weighed approximately 2 tons. It was a carnivorous bipedal dinosaur that may have had binocular vision—unlike other dinosaurs of the time. That’s because this dinosaur had eyes that were set in front of its skull, while many dinosaurs had eyes on the side of their heads. This means that these dinosaurs probably had pretty good depth perception and binocular vision.

It is also estimated that these dinosaurs were fairly fast. Some computer models suggest that the Carnotaurus could travel at a speed of about 35 miles per hour. This would make it significantly faster than a running human and make it almost as fast as a cougar.

    The information about Tyrannotitan:

    • Was as long as a school buses
    • Lived in South America
    • Ate the equivalent of 1000 hamburgers a day
    • Weighed as much as Asian Elephant
    • Could run as fast as a brown bear

      About Tyrannotitan

Tyrannotitan is a dinosaur which lived during the early Cretaceous Period—or about 112 million years ago. It was first discovered in 2005 by Tom Rich, Fernando E. Novas, Pat Vickers- Rich and Silvina de Valais in La Juanita Farm in Argentina. It was named later that year by Fernando E. Novas. Its name mean “tyrant titan.”

Although little information is known about this dinosaur, there are some things that paleontologists have found out about this large carnivore. It was about 40 feet long, about 14 feet tall and may have weighed up to 5 to 7 tons. It ran on its back legs—like most therapods—and could probably reach speeds of about 20 miles per hour.

An interesting fact about Tyrannotitan is that paleontologists believe that it had about 60 teeth in its jaws. This would have allowed it to tear into just about any dinosaur of its time. While it’s unsure whether or not this dinosaur was the apex predator of its time, it would have been pretty close.

    The battle begins!

A Tyrannotitan was trying to find food, but he finds a Carnotaurus instead, then the Carno bashes into Titan, making him back off, then he roars, that scares the Carno, but doesn't make him leave, then Titan bites the Carno in the neck, but only made a small scar because after the Carno was bit,it hit the Titan with its tail, unfortunately the Titan did not give up fighting, the Carno got bit in the hand, and the Titan bit him so hard, that he ripped of the Carno's hand, but the Carno bashed into him,and Titan backed away, and the Carno thought he won,but Titan attacked him by surprise, and the Titan bit the Carno's neck again, but this time, the bite was succsesful, but Titan wasn't done with him,so he bit his neck again, but this time,he wanted to snap his neck, and he did snap his neck, and then Titan started to eat because he was really hungry, and he roared loudly so other Dinos knew he won a battle and that he shoulndn't be challenged to a battle.

Winner:Tyrannotitan

Reason:He was larger,he had a stronger bite force, and he could rip the Carno's hand with ease, and lets not forget that he can survive a lot of bashes from Carno

Tyrannosaurus Rex Vs. Baryonyx (EDB Part.3)

EDB Part.3 is here! Its basically not something new or anything.EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles,Part.3 means that this one is the third battle.

The information about Tyrannosaurus:

  • This dinosaur had 60 razor sharp teeth
  • The teeth on the Tyrannosaurus could be up to 9 inches long
  • This dinosaur used its tail to maintain balance
  • The Tyrannosaurus weighed as much as an Asian Elephant
  • This dinosaur’s top speed was about 18 MPH—faster than humans!

About Tyrannosaurus

Tyrannosaurus is a large, bipedal carnivore that lived approximately 66 to 68 million years ago during the late Cretaceous Period. It is considered to be one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs to have ever walked the Earth and its very name means “tyrant lizard”. It was first discovered in 1902 by Barnum Brown. 3 years later, Henry Fairfield Osborn would give this dinosaur its now iconic name.

Tyrannosaurus is believed to be one of the most aggressive and fearsome dinosaurs to walk the planet. It stood approximately 20 feet tall, was about 40 feet long from head to tail and weighed approximately 7 tons. It is believed this dinosaur feasted on large herbivore dinosaurs such as triceratops and brontosaurus dinosaurs. The T- Rex—as it is commonly referred to—had an deadly bite. It had a minimum bite force of at least 12,000 pounds and could eat over 500 pounds of meat in one bite.

The T Rex is not only known for its size and aggressive nature, but is also known for its very tiny hands. Scientists don’t currently know how the Tyrannosaurus used its tiny arms or what purposes it served, but there are some theories floating around. One theory states that these animals used their arms to lift themselves off of the ground after they have been knocked down during battle. Another theory stipulates that these dinosaurs used their arms to tightly grab squirming prey so they could bite them. Considering the strength of these appendages, then this theory seems to be one of the most plausible.

At the time of this writing, an interesting fact is that only about 30 Tyrannosaurus skeletons have been found around the world. Most of them have been found in the Western portion of the United States (in Montana, Texas, Wyoming and Utah), but some have also been found in Alberta and Saskatchewan Canada, and in Mongolia.

The information about Baryonyx:

  • Hunted fish like bears do
  • Baryonyx weighed as much as a rhino
  • Its name mean “heavy claw”
  • 1st fish eating dinosaur ever discovered
  • May have also eaten other dinosaurs

About Baryonyx

Baryonyx is a dinosaur which lived approximately 130 million years ago during the early Cretaceous Period. This carnivore was first discovered in 1983 by an amateur paleontologist named William Walker in the United Kingdom. At the time of its discovery, it was one of the first carnivorous dinosaurs to have been found in England.

Baryonyx was about 9 feet tall, 31 feet long and weighed approximately 2 tons. It also had 2 undersized arms, a small crest on its snout and a crocodile like jaw that had over 95 saw like teeth. It also had foot long claws on its hands. Paleontologists believe that all of these dinosaur’s adaptations were used to hunt fish, which is believed to be this dinosaur’s main diet. This has been verified with the fossilized fish remains that have been found in this dinosaur.

It is believed that Baryonyx hunted fish in the same way as modern grizzly bears do. Paleontologists believe that these dinosaurs would sweep their claws back and forth across a river to snatch fish from it in the same way the grizzly snatches salmon from rivers.

The battle begins!

A Tyrannosaurus was roaring, which was the reason why a bunch of Dinosaurs were leaving, because they didn't want to get killed by the Rex,but one brave Dino, which was a male Baryonyx, and he challenged the Rex,and the Baryonyx had a more fearsome roar, the Baryonyx slashed the Rex,causing him to get bit by the Rex in the claw, but he used his other claw to slash the head of the Rex,with his right claw weakened,he can only use the left one,and the Rex went for the final attack, but before he did,the Baryonyx slashed him in the body, but he couldn't dodge the attack, but he used the same tactic, the Rex wanted to snap the neck of the Baryonyx, but it didn't happen, since the Baryonyx slashed him in the neck, causing him to retreat, after he saw that the Baryonyx was losing a bunch of blood,he thought that the Baryonyx will run out of blood, but then the Baryonyx went for the final attack, which was to slash the Rex to death, and he did slash him,and the Rex made one final roar before he was dead, the Baryonyx roared, and he brought the dead Rex to his family so they can eat the dead Rex.

Winner:Baryonyx

Reason:The Rex had a powerful bite force, but those claws could slash the head of the Rex causing it to retreat,i mean the claws were the reason he won

Tarbosaurus Vs. Megalosaurus (EDB Part.4)

This is EDB Part.4,EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles,Part.4 means that this is the fourth battle, this time i double posted EDB Part.3 and 4.

HUGE THANKS TO GMKGOJI FOR THE POSTER!

The information about Tarbosaurus:

  • Weighed as much as an African Elephant
  • Was as long as a train car
  • Its name meant “terrifying or alarming dinosaur”
  • Tarbosaurus had smaller arms than T- Rex
  • Had more than 60 knife shaped teeth
  • Tarbosaurus may have hunted in packs

About Tarbosaurus

Tarbosaurus is a dinosaur that lived in parts of Asia around 65-70 million years ago—during the Late Cretaceous Period. This terrifying dinosaur was first discovered in 1946 during a joint Soviet- Mongolian expedition in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. It was then named Tarbosaurus, a name which means “terrifying lizard.” It is considered by many paleontologists to be the Asian version of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

When this huge dinosaur was alive, it measured approximately 40 feet long and weighed around 5 tons. This dinosaur was very similar to the T Rex. Both had giant legs, small arms and huge jaws that had rows of sharp, pointy teeth. The T Rex is a little bigger than Tarbosaurus, but other than that they were pretty similar creatures. T Rex was the apex predator in North America, and Tarbosaurus was the apex predator in Asia. Tarbosaurus was the second largest of the Tyrannosaurids. T Rex was one of the largest of this dinosaur species.

Because of the close similarities between the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Tarbosaurus, there are a few paleontologists who are speculating that these two dinosaurs were actually one and the same. That perhaps some of them had crossed from Asia to North America. That one might have been evolving into something else. This would most likely mean that Tarbosaurus had crossed a land bridge—most likely the Siberian land bridge—between Asia and North America and eventually evolved into the T Rex, since this dinosaur is much older than Rex was. Of course, this is currently just speculation but it is something to think about.

The information about Megalosaurus:

  • First discovered in 17th century
  • Over 3 car links long
  • Weighed as much as a Black Rhinoceros
  • Could run over 30 miles per hour
  • One of the smartest dinosaurs

About Megalosaurus

Megalosaurus is a dinosaur which walked the Earth about 166 million years ago, during the Jurassic Period. This dinosaur was not only one of the earliest discovered dinosaurs, it is also one of the first dinosaurs to be described in scientific literature. This dinosaur was first discovered in 1676 at a stone quarry in England. While this original bone is now lost, it was described in the Natural History of Oxfordshire. However, it was misidentified as a thigh bone of a Roman war elephant by Robert Plot.

Later, a more intact fossil of this dinosaur was discovered in 1819 by William Buckland. Five years later, he named it Megalosaurus; a name which means “great lizard.” In 1827, it was finally assigned its scientific name: Megalosaurus bucklandii.

When this dinosaur was alive it was quite a formidable beast. It was approximately 30 feet long, 10 feet tall at the hips and weighed approximately a ton. It was an aggressive hunter that relied on its natural speed and powerful jaws to take down its prey. Scientists believe this dinosaur combed coastal regions to hunt plesiosaurs or to scavenge fish that have washed upon the shore. This scenario was put forward because many of this dinosaur’s fossil remains have been found with marine deposits.

Likely, this dinosaur not only hunted Plesiosaurs or washed up fish, but probably used several hunting strategies. It was one of the smartest of the dinosaurs of the time and probably adapted its hunting style according to the prey that was available.

The battle begins!

A Tarbosaurus was basically walking next to a river, but suddenly,he heard a loud roar coming from the left side of the river,it was the Megalosaurus which hunted a bunch of herbivores, after he heard the roar,he quickly ran to where the roar came from, and he found Mega,Mega roared at Tarbo as a warning to not come any closer, but Tarbo quickly bit him in the leg, making Mega fall down, and then Tarbo dragged Mega by biting his tail and dragging him to the waterfall, but Mega but his face, making Tarbo retreat, but then Tarbo pushed Mega in the river which was the river that gets to the waterfall, quickly Mega bit Tarbo in the tail, and dragged him into the river, and they got to the waterfall and they both fell into the water, but only Tarbo got out,Mega was still in the water, then Mega drowned, then Tarbo got to his nest as fast as he could because he was weakened and if any Dino challenged him to a battle at that moment,he would have a disadvantage.

Winner:Tarbosaurus

Reason:He had a really strong bite force,he was like the T-Rex.but not as good as the Rex though.

Spinosaurus Vs. Acrocanthosaurus (EDB Part.5)

So this one is EDB Part.5,please don't start conflicts about the winner.EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles,Part.5 means this is the fifth battle.

BANNER MADE BY ME!

The information about Spinosaurus:

  • The meaning of Spinosaurus is Spine Lizard
  • They were the biggest carnivorous dinosaur on Earth
  • They could weigh as much as 3 elephants
  • They could stand over 6 stories high
  • They lived around Egypt and Morocco
  • They lived during the Cretaceous period

About Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus is a carnivorous dinosaur that lived in what is now Northern Africa during the Cretaceous period—about 110 million years ago. Most scientist agree that this dinosaur probably hunted both on land and in water and probably lived on a diet of both fish and small mammals. It is believed these dinosaurs floated in much the same way that modern crocodiles do; lying in wait and then using the element of surprise to hunt prey. They were first discovered in 1912 in Western Egypt by Richard Markgraf, although this original specimen was destroyed during the bombing of Munich, Germany during World War II. Since then, scientists have had to make due with studying the plaster casts of this animal.

Spinosaurus is one of the biggest dinosaurs known to scientists today. It is even bigger than the T. Rex. In fact, a Spinosaurus outweighs a typical T. Rex by about 1 ton and the next largest dinosaur—Gigantasauraus—by about a half of a ton.

There are a lot of interesting facts surrounding this large dinosaur. For instance, Spinosaurus was about 49 feet tall (comparable to a 5 story building), and weighed between 7-20 tons, or about the equivalent of 3 male elephants. It is also one of the first dinosaurs to have been identified as the first possible “swimming dinosaur”. Another interesting fact is that the Spinosaurus has a six foot long skull that was shaped much like a modern crocodiles skull. This made it easier for this dinosaur to fish. It is believed that these dinosaur’s walked on all fours when they weren’t in the water, but could also rear up on their hind legs like grizzly bears when they threatened.

They had a whole lot of different types of teeth. These included canines for ripping flesh, and an assortment of conical and grinding teeth. This was because of its varied diet which not only included fish but also may have included small mammals and other dinosaurs.

The information about Arcocanthosaurus:

  • It lived 45 million years before T Rex
  • Weighed more than an African Elephant
  • Over 4 car links in length
  • Acrocanthosaurus has incredible smell
  • Lived in parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Utah and South Carolina

About Acrocanthosaurus

Acrocanthosaurus is a therapod that lived during the Early Cretaceous Period about 115 million years ago. Its fossils were first discovered in Oklahoma during the 1940s. However, this discovery was largely ignored and forgotten until 1950, when J. Willis Stovall and Wann Langston, Jr rediscovered this species by finding a very large vertebrae segment. They would go on to name the dinosaur Acrocanthosaurus, a name which means “high spine lizard.” This name was chosen because it has seventeen inch spikes that travel from its neck to its tail.

Acrocanthosaurus was a fairly large carnivore that was over 40 feet long and weighed as much a 6 tons. This dinosaur also had a large head that was about 4.4 feet in length. This size advantage would allow this dinosaur to hunt some very large herbivores with a fair amount of success.

Scientist really don’t know the purpose of this dinosaur’s spines. Some paleontologists have speculated that the spines were necessary to keep the dinosaur cool by allowing it to dispose of heat like a heat sink. Other scientists believe that is was used to make the dinosaur look bigger to ward off other predators.

Since its original discovery, several fossil specimens of this dinosaur have been found in parts of Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. Tracks of this dinosaur have also been found in parts of Texas. An interesting fact is that these tracks that not only proved that this dinosaur was a fierce and agile hunter, but that it was also fairly fearless and would hunt some of the larger sauropod species. Something that therapods aren’t known for doing.

The battle begins!

On a desert,a Spinosaurus needed water, and he found an ocean, but next to the ocean, there was an Acrocanthosaurus, the Spino warned the Acro to get away from the ocean, but Acro quiclky rushed to him and bit him in the leg ,the Spino slashed him,the Acro bit him in the Spine, the Spino slashed him in the neck and stabbed him in the eyes, but Acro ripped the Spino's hand, leaving huge wound,he lost a lot of blood, but then Spino had an idea,he pushed Acro, making him falll down, and he dragged him in the ocean,Acro and Spino quickly went deep in to the water, and they had an ocean battle, the Spino had the advantage,Acro lost a lot of blood, they slashed each other, they bit each other, minutes after the ocean battle,Acro's body floated to the surface, but Acro was dead, then Spino bumped the dead body, then the dead body and the Spino were at land, the Spino ate the dead body.

Winner:Spinosaurus

Reason:He had bigger claws,he could walk on land and swim in the ocean, and he was bigger and faster.

 Torvosaurus Vs. Saurophaganax (EDB Part.6)

Guys,i have something to tell you,im going somewhere,so i will be missing 1 day, anyways enjoy EDB Part.6,EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles.Part.6 means that this is the sixth battle.

HUGE THANKS TO GMKGOJI FOR THE BANNER!

The information about Torvosaurus:

  • Largest theropod of its time
  • Was as long as a school bus
  • Weighed as much as two hippos
  • Could run as fast as a Turkey
  • Was definitely a carnivore

About Torvosaurus

Torvosaurus was a dinosaur which lived approximately 145 to 154 million years ago during the late Jurassic Period. It was first discovered in 1972 by Jim Jensen and Kenneth Stadtman in the Dry Mesa quarry in Colorado. It was subsequently named in 1979 by Peter Malcolm Galton and James A. Jensen. It was given the name Torvosaurus—a name which means “savage lizard.”

This dinosaur was a fierce dinosaur which was approximately 40 feet long, 8 feet high at the hips and probably weighed around 3 tons. It had a long, narrow snout that was perfect for crushing bone and tearing flesh. Because of its large size, some paleontologists have speculated that Torvosaurus probably didn’t need to hunt—that it could just scare other predators off of their kills. However, this view isn’t held by all paleontologists. Some of them believe that this dinosaur had the size and the tools to be an apex predator. That it could have easily taken down some of the large herbivores of the time. Herbivores such as Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Camarasaurus, Diplodocus and Stegosaurus. It may have even attacked and fed off of the carnivores of the time, although that it less likely. Although it is possible that if this dinosaur encountered an injured or dying carnivore that it may have killed it and eaten it. This would have been possible because most predators are opportunistic—meaning they will seize any available opportunity to feed.

An interesting fact about Torvosaurus is that some specimens of this dinosaur have not only been found in North America but have also been found in Portugal. The reason that this dinosaur has been found on two different continents is because Europe and North America were once connected at one time and these dinosaurs could have just walked over the land bridges.

The information about Saurophaganax:

  • Could run as fast as a grizzly bear
  • Was as long as a school bus
  • Weighed as much as two hippos
  • May have eaten the equivalent of 600 hamburgers daily
  • Lived in what is now Oklahoma

About Saurophaganax

Saurophaganax is a dinosaur which lived during the late Jurassic Period in what is now North America, about 150 million years ago. It was first discovered by John Willis Stovall in 1931 and was named Saurophagus maximus ten years later in 1941. Eventually, it was discovered that this name was already used back in 1831 to name a particular bird. Therefore, a new name was required for this animal species. In 1995, the problem was solved when Daniel Chure renamed the dinosaur Saurophaganax—a name which literally means “lizard eating master.”

This dinosaur was approximately 43 feet long, 14 feet tall and weighed approximately 3 tons. It is a large therapod dinosaur that was capable of walking on two and probably subsisted off a carnivorous diet. This would have made this dinosaur the apex predator of its time and capable of feeding off of dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus and Camptosaurus. It may have also scavenged food, as many therapods are thought to have done, or stolen carcasses from other dinosaurs.

An interesting fact about Saurophaganax is that some while most paleontologists believe this dinosaur is its own species—some have speculated that it might be just a large Allosaurus. These scientists argue that there isn’t enough fossil material to truly be able to differentiate between Saurophaganax and Allosaurus. That the only apparent difference is their vertebrae.

Another fascinating fact about this dinosaur is that is may have been bigger than what would have been in its best interest. Its large size would have required an extraordinary amount of food—maybe up to a couple hundred pounds a day. That may mean that it was more difficult for this dinosaur to find enough food on a daily basis. That is why it may have had to scavenge or steal other dinosaur’s meals. Not only would this have been easier for this dinosaur to do but would have required less work.

The battle begins!

A Saurophaganax was running to his nest, but a Torvosaurus stopped him, having a terrifying roar,it sure scare Sauro, but he bit his neck,Torvo cut him in the leg,Sauro suddenly moved slower,he was fast, but now he isn't because of his wound, then Torvo use his tail to knock down Sauro,Sauro fell unconscious,Torvo thought he was dead, after some minutes,Sauro woke up,he was near his nest, and he saw Torvo hunting his partner,Sauro then got up and ran with all his speed to Torvo, and then,Torvo got bit in the neck, but this time, the bite was more deadlier, after that,Sauro killed Torvo by snapping his neck, and then he and his family ate Torvo.

Winner:Saurophaganax

Reason:It is like an evolved Allosaurus, its speed, bite force, and size made it win this battle.

 Cryolophosaurus Vs. Albertosaurus (EDB Part.7)

EDB Part.7 boys!Get ready for the battle!EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles.Part.7 means that its the seventh battle!

SHOUTOUT TO GMKGOJI FOR THIS BANNER!

The information about Cryolophosaurus:

  • Weighed a little more than a Polar Bear
  • Was 2 car lengths long
  • Ran as fast as an African Elephant
  • May have had feathers
  • Lived in what is now Antarctica
  • Was a carnivore
  • Has been called “Elvisaurus”

About Cryolophosaurus

Cryolophosaurus is a therapod dinosaur which lived approximately 195 million years ago during the early Jurassic Period. It was discovered in 1990 by William R. Hammer in the Transantarctic Mountains of Antarctica. In 1991, William Hammer and William J. Hickerson named this dinosaur Cryolophosaurus; a name which means “frozen-crested lizard”.

Cryolophosaurus was approximately 20 feet long, 5 feet high at the hips and weighed around 1100 pounds. It was the first carnivorous dinosaur to be discovered in Antarctica and was kind of strange looking too. It had a skull that was around 25 inches long and has a nasal crest that rises up and kind of combs out. This is quite different than the skull crests that exist on most other carnivores—crests which usually fan backwards and not forwards.

An interesting fact about Cryolophosaurus is that it didn’t live in a frozen climate as some of the public have believed. That is because Antarctica had a very different climate during that time. During the Jurassic Period, this continent was closer to the equator, therefore it had a much warmer climate than today. However, it still wasn’t as warm as other areas of the Earth, and as such would have been somewhat cooler. It just wouldn’t have been the frozen tundra it is today. In fact, it was an area that teemed with forests and would have been a suitable environment for the carnivores and herbivores that lived there, although it probably wouldn’t have been warm enough for the dinosaurs of the much warmer and more tropical continent of North America.

Some paleontologists have speculated that this dinosaur may have had feathers like a bird. That feathers would have helped insulate these dinosaurs and help them against the cooler temperatures of this area. If that was indeed the case, then it may mean that these dinosaurs were warm blooded—much like modern birds. However, this whole theory hasn’t been proven or disproved yet.

The information about Albertosaurus:

  • Albertosaurus weighed as much as a hippopotamus
  • It was 3 car links long
  • May have hunted in packs
  • Could run as fast as a grizzly bear
  • Name means “Lizard of Alberta”

About Albertosaurus

Albertosaurus is a dinosaur which walked the Earth approximately 76 million years ago during the Mesozoic Period. It is a typical tyrannosaurus therapod dinosaur and has many features that qualify it as this type of dinosaur. Some of the features include carnivorous behavior, bipedal movement on back legs, tiny front arms, hollow bones like a bird and the ability to move very swiftly and with dangerous precision.

This dinosaur was first discovered in what is now Alberta, Canada in 1884 by J.B. Tyrrell. These remains would be named in 1905 by Henry Fairfield Osborn. Since Alberta had just became a Canadian province on September 1, 1905, it seems suitable that Mr. Osborn would name this dinosaur Albertosaurus; a name which literally means “lizard of Alberta.”

Although this dinosaur had many features of it genus—a tyrannosaurus theropod—it also had some key differences that made it quite different from the typical Tyrannosaurus. For instance, its skull was quite a bit thinner than the typical tyrannosaurus and its teeth weren’t as well adapted for crushing bone as a tyrannosaurus. Some scientists believe that Albertosaurus had a bite like the Kimono Dragon. A bite that would pass on a septic infection to whatever it bit. This dinosaur was approximately 30 feet long, 11 feet tall at the hips and weighed as much as 3 tons. It also had 15 razor sharp top teeth and 20 bottom teeth.

The battle begins!

A Cryolophosaurus was walking near a beach, then he was Dinosaur similar to a big Cryo that he battled size,it was an Albertosaurus,Alberto was thirsty and hungry,so he wanted to hunt Cryo,Cryo saw that Alberto was aiming for him,so he roared,Alberto bit Cryo's leg, causing Cryo to fall, the Alberto bit the neck, hoping to snap the neck, then suddenly,a male Cryo watched them fight,it was the Cryo which won the fight with the Cryo which i battling Alberto,Cryo wanted a mate, but he needed to win a battle with the bigger Cryo, but Alberto didn't manage to snap Cryo's neck,Cryo got back up,bit Alberto's tail,Alberto tried to escape, but he couldn't ,then Alberto bit Cryo's leg again, causing Cryo to fall, both Dinosaurs were on the ground, they were wounded,Cryo got back up,dragged Alberto by the tail, bit his neck, and put Alberto's head in the water, causing Alberto to drown, after the big Cryo which defeated watched the Cryo drown Alberto,he knew that the smaller Cryo was stronger,so he gave his mate to the smaller Cryo, and Cryo made a nest with his mate, and they started a family.

Winner:Cryolophosaurus

Reason:It was faster,it had a good bite force, and it could drown Albertosaurus

The information about Daspletosaurus:

  • Weighed as much as an Asian Elephant
  • Was 3 car lengths long
  • Was a story high
  • Had 72 razor sharp teeth
  • Lived in North America
  • Had a top speed of a pig—about 15 MPH
  • Was half as fast as a Albertosaurus or Gorgosaurus

About Daspletosaurus

Daspletosaurus is a dinosaur which lived about 75-77 million years ago during the late Cretaceous Period. This dinosaur was first discovered in 1921 by Charles Mortram Sternberg around Steveville, Alberta. When he first discovered it, he thought it was just another species of Gorgosaurus. An idea that would remain for the next 49 years—until 1970—when Dale Russell described it in complete detail and came to the conclusion that it was an entirely different type of dinosaur. It was then named Daspletosaurus—a name which means “frightful lizard.”

And a frightful lizard is what this dinosaur must have looked like when it was alive. This dinosaur was about 30 feet long, 9 feet tall at the hips and probably weighed around 3 tons. It had a fairly massive skull that was about 3 feet long and contained about 5 to 6 dozen teeth. It had the largest teeth of any predator—including those of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The dinosaur it is believed this dinosaur devolved into. The size and ferocity of Daspletosaurus would have most likely made it the apex predator of its time.

Since this dinosaur was a bipedal carnivore, it probably feasted off a variety of different dinosaur species. One dinosaur that it is known to have eaten is the Hadrosaur, but these dinosaurs probably ate a variety of different herbivores including Diceratops and Eoceratops.

An interesting fact about Daspletosaurus is that it might not have just been the hunter but also may have been the hunted. There is some evidence found in the fossil record of these dinosaurs being bitten by other dinosaurs. Which wouldn’t be too surprising because a lot of tyrannosaurs live around the same time as this dinosaur. Some of these included the Dryptosaurus, Dromaeosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Dromiceiomimus. These animals may have hunted each other or engaged in combat to defend their respectful territories.

The information about Allosaurus:

  • This dinosaur weighed about half as much as an African Elephant
  • It stood 16 feet tall; 3 feet taller than the average elephant
  • It was 40 feet or longer; this made it as long as 3 Hippos
  • Allosaurus means “different lizard”
  • It could move at about 20 MPH—the speed of a charging giraffe.

About Allosaurus

Allosaurus is a type of dinosaur called a therapod. This dinosaur lived about 155 million years ago—during the Jurassic Period—and probably lived in parts of the Western United States. It was first discovered in 1869 by Ferdinand Hayden and was later named in 1877 by Othniel Charles Marsh. It was named using the Greek words “allos”, which meant different, and “saurus” which meant lizard. Therefore, it’s name literally means “different lizard”. It was given this name because its skeleton was quite different than any other dinosaur found up until the time of its discovery.

Although most of the specimens of this dinosaur have been found in Colorado and Montana, there have been an increasing number of specimens found elsewhere. These include specimens found in New Mexico, Africa, Australia. Tanzania and parts of Europe.

This dinosaur was a large carnivorous bipedal predator that scientists believe preyed on the many herbivores of the time. This conclusion has been reached in part by the number of razor sharp teeth that can be found in this predator’s mouth. It had rows of razor sharp teeth that had saw-like formations on its edges. It is believed that the Allosaurus was able to attack larger predators with these teeth by using its upper jaw like a hatchet and attacking using the element of surprise.

One interesting fact to note is that the largest Allosaurus specimens may have rivaled the T- Rex in size. The size of the largest Allosaurus is approximately 16 feet tall, 43 feet long and weighed more up to 5 tons. This contrasts pretty well with the T- Rex who was approximately 13-16 feet tall, 42 feet long and weighed approximately 7 tons.

The battle begins!

In the hot desert, there was an Allosaurus which was sleeping,it woke up after he heard a loud noise, then the noise got closer, and more closer, until the Daspletosaurus attacked Allo,he bit Allo's neck,Allo quickly slashes Daspleto's head, and stabs him in the eye,Daspleto bit Allo's leg, making Allo vulnerable and making him fall down,Daspleto bit him in the leg and hands,Allo got back up,and he bashed his head into Daspleto,Daspleto fell down, then Allo tried to snap Daspleto's neck,he didn't snap Daspleto's neck, but he made Daspleto bleed out and die,and then Allo searched for a forest,he did find a forest, and he never returned ever again to the desert, and the dead body of Daspleto became a skeleton.

Winner:Allosaurus

Reason:He was more faster,he had big claws and he was one of the strongest Dinos to ever live
