A Story by Tyrannos
Prologue
Fear. That was the only thing going through his mind. The sounds of anger, pain, anguish, and vengeance filled the ears of the young Giganotosaurus. He was only a teenager, as he watched the titanic battle before him, between the largest of his species, and the largest Tyrannosaurus of all time. His father, the Giga, was a massive fifty-five feet long, nineteen feet tall, and weighed fourteen tons.
He was battling an even larger Rex, who was the same length, a foot taller, and had an extra two tons of muscle to boot. His father, Tornado, was a charcoal gray in colour, with blue stripes running down his skull and body. The T.rex, named Thunderstorm, had a coat of black feathers on top of his torso. Directly beneath this was his signature birthmark, an electric-blue stripe running down the length of his body on both sides. Below this, his scaled belly was blue.
The young Giga, named Gigannos, watched in horror as Thunderstorm dragged Tornado over to the edge of a cliff, where he slammed him down on a jagged rock. He then clamped down onto the skull of the alpha-Giganotosaurus, crushing the olfactory bulbs under twenty-thousand pounds of pure force, before tearing Tornado's head and neck clean off. The Tyrant Thunderstorm roared in victory, as an emotionally broken Gigannos fled the scene.
Despite being a juvenile, he was already forty-three feet long and thirteen feet tall, large enough for his size. However, he would grow into one of the largest and most ferocious theropods ever to walk upon the face of the Earth.
*Six Years Later*
Gigannos had survived, the end. However, his territory had been ravaged by a wildfire--spread by none other than the son of Nequit Dominum, and the Cursed Lord, Maledictus Dominum. He was the alpha and leader of a pack of twelve--eleven other individuals, all exceeding forty feet in length. His mate, Gigannas, cooed to him, asking where they would go. She was massive, measuring at a length of forty-eight feet, and a height of seventeen feet.
Gigannos heard a roar, not unlike that which he had heard when his father was killed. He knew it was a Rex, but not Thunderstorm--no, this roar was even louder. In addition, he was aware of the Lightning Rex's death, but the throne had been ascended. In this moment, Gigannos knew what he wanted - he would finish what Tornado could never do, he would end the lineage of the Tyrant Thunderstorm. He chirped to the rest of his pack, telling them to move out.

*Months later*
Dark times were upon the Trinity Peaks. Tyrannos, the Vengeful Rex, was gone. He had fled, emotionally broken, after losing the only reminder of his parents--his uncle, Hurricane. The brother of the Tyrant Thunderstorm had attempted to seize the throne for himself, and engaged Tyrannos in a brutal battle that resulted in his death.
In the absence of the Vengeful Rex, his mate, Tyrannas, was ruling by herself. Her scales were grey, and she had a coat of chocolate-brown feathers, with white feathers on her skull, and emerald-green eyes. She was a specimen to behold, measuring forty-five feet long, sixteen feet tall, and weighing in at ten tons. Tyrannas stood atop a perch at the peak of the Trinity Peaks, staring into the sky as her feathers blew majestically in the wind.
Not too far away, her two siblings rested, a brother, and a sister. The male was Tyrus, a magnificent specimen at a length of forty-three feet, a height of fourteen feet, and weighing nine tons. His feathers were black and white, and, like Tyrannas, he had grey scales, although his were lighter. HIs eyes were a grey-blue in colour. The last sibling, Tyra, was female. She was forty-two feet long, thirteen feet tall, and had charcoal-coloured scales and feathers. Her eyes were a piercing yellow, like that of an eagle.
The three Rex were not the only inhabitants of the mountain, however. There was also a family of four Albertosaurus, who had found the egg of Hurricane. They had lived with Thunderstorm before his demise, and now stayed with Tyrannas. The father, Albus, was thirty-five feet long and ten feet tall, massive for his species. He was covered in jade-green feathers and scales, and his eyes were the same colour as those of Tyrannas. His mate, Alba, was covered in black scales and feathers, and she was thirty-three feet long and nine feet tall.
Their two offspring, Alborax and Cocoa, were both eight feet tall. Alborax was thirty feet long, while Cocoa was twenty-seven feet in length. The former had grey scales and black feathers, while Cocoa had brown scales and feathers.
Tyrannas turned around and stepped down from the perch, walking over to the skeleton of Hurricane, where she leaned down, hinging her thighs next to her body. The female Rex was tired, and laid down to rest. Her siblings knew not to disturb her, and they let her be. The Tyrannosaurus was miserable, and missed her mate very much. She reflected upon the departure of her mate.
Tyrannos was gasping heavily, as he limped down from the perch. Tyrannas approached him in an attempt to comfort him, but he avoided her and hobbled away as fast as he could. The Vengeful Rex escaped because the others were too exhausted to chase after him. The son of the Lightning Rex staggered painfully down the slope of the mountain, favouring his left leg as his mate watched with sorrow.
Tyrus cooed to her, asking why he was fleeing, to which Tyrannas responded that he was emotionally broken. He chirped, asking if they would ever see him again. Tyrannas clucked yes, when he would be needed, as she watched Tyrannos vanish into the treeline, not to be seen for a very long time.
Part 2: A New Generation
The Tyrannosaurs of the mountain were not the only theropods in the Golden-Land, however. Miles away, in one of Dhahabi'ard's vast waterways, known as Corinae, was the last living Spinosaurus--and the largest. Named Fang, he was the largest of his kind, at a length of sixty feet, and a height of seventeen feet at his head. At the top of his sail, he was twenty-three feet tall. He was white-grey, with some yellow-orange markings on his sail and torso. Fang was massive, weighing eleven tons.
His mate was smaller, at a height of fifteen feet at the head, twenty-one feet at the sail, fifty-five feet long, and weighing nine tons. Her name was Venus, and she was green in colour. She and her mate had arrived in the Golden-Land by swimming across the ocean from Africa, following in the steps of the legendary Egypt.
The two were patrolling their territory, and in the trees, two more predators lurked--a pair of Carcharodontosaurus. The male, named Mako, was massive, at fifty-one feet long, seventeen feet and six inches tall, and weighing fourteen tons. He was a very light red in colour, with black markings. His parents were killed by the Giganotosaurus Tornado when he was very young, filling him with a deep hatred of all Gigas.
The female, named Sahara, was forty-six feet in length, sixteen in height, and weighed ten tons. She was orange-brown in colour. The two Cars walked over to the river in which Fang and Venus were resting, receiving snarls and hisses from the two Spinos. However, neither of them would have to fight, for Mako and Sahara merely wanted a drink. The two groups ignored each-other, and the carnosaurs returned to the forest shortly after.

Tyrannas knew that her pack needed food, and soon, since they hadn't eaten in a week. As the alpha, she had full command over her packmates, and decided to send the four Albertosaurus to make a kill. She stood up and opened her massive jaws, releasing a gluttural sound that caught the attention of Tyrus, Tyra, Albus, Alba, Alborax, and Cocoa. The alpha-female chirped to her siblings, ordering them to patrol the foot of the mountain, before cooing to the four Albertosaurus, telling them that they would make a kill. The smaller Tyrannosaurs nodded, before trotting down the slope of their home.
Albus led his family, as the four went around the mountain. Their feet left deep imprints in the mud, as they approached a ravine--one which brought back terrible memories for all of them. This was the same ravine, into which Thunderstorm and Earthquake had tumbled to their deaths. Their flesh and tissue had rotted away, leaving only the sight of their skeletons, with several broken bones. The skeleton of Tornado was also there, facing the bones of Thunderstorm, as if they had died fighting. Little did they know, the embodiments of their legacies would engage in one of the most brutal duels in the history of the planet Earth in this very same ravine.
The four Albertos walked along one side of the fissure, small pebbles falling into its depths. They entered the vast, lush forests within the edge of Dhahabi'ard, sniffing the air in an attempt to find prey. Tyrannosaurs had massive olfactory bulbs, and Albertosaurus were no exception. This made tracking prey all the more easier, backed up by their excellent eyesight and acute hearing.
As such, it didn't take long for Albus to hone in on a herd of hadrosaurs, as he released a low coo to his family, signalling that he had found prey. Hiding in the thick vegetation, they observed a herd of Edmontosaurus - large animals, which live in herds. A fully-grown adult was more than enough for one Rex, and it would certainly provide the full pack with nourishment. Albus clucked to Alba, his eyes locked on an Edmonto with an injured leg. The alpha-female then told their offspring to sneak up behind their chosen target.
Once she got close enough, Cocoa launched herself out of the shadows, her jaws closing down on nothing but air with a loud crunch as she narrowly missed the leg of the hadrosaur. The Edmontosaurus, who was an old male, bellowed as he attempted to hobble away, with Cocoa's teeth slashing at his hindquarters. As he limped to some bushes, Alborax burst out of the bushes, clamping down on the hadrosaur's healthy leg, before being pinned down by Alba, and finished off by Albus with a swift bite to the neck.
The four stood atop the corpse, sinking their teeth into the skin of the herbivore. However, a loud roar filled their eardrums, as the trees' branches rustled. A pack of twelve Giganotosaurus stepped into the clearing--led by none other than Gigannos, the son of Tornado. He towered over the medium-sized Tyrannosaurs, being one of the largest megatheropods ever to live. The alpha-male released an aggressive growl, ordering them to leave or be killed.
Albus's insticts screamed for him to abandon their kill and flee, but his loyalty to Tyrannas prevented him from doing so. He boldly roared at Gigannos, only to be lifted up by his back, and thrown into the trunk of a tree. The Alberto's ribs were shattered upon impact, and he fell to the ground with a thud. Alba screamed in anguish, charging the alpha-female, Gigannas, only to be knocked aside by a ram of the skull. Two of Gigannos' infantry grabbed the Albertosaurus' offspring, killing them with a bite to the neck.
Blinded by rage, Alba charged at Gigannas, only to receive a bite to the throat, before being forced to the ground by Gigannos, who stomped upon her torso. All thirteen tons of his body mass were thrust downward onto a theropod twenty feet shorter in length, crushing her and ending her life. The Gigas then continued inward towards the mountain which Tyrannas ruled, as Albus looked at his mate. He drew his last breath, as he closed his eyes - hoping that he would be avenged.
***
Miles away from the carnage, was a lone Rex, grizzled, scarred, and injured. The tyrant snorted, as he limped forward. The Tyrannosaurus walked over to the edge of a cliff and sat down to rest. He looked out over the beautiful landscape, which was glazed in a beautiful orange evening sky. The sun was setting behind a mountain, which he once called home--a home that he had left. After nightfall, he stood up and continued on.
Part 3: Nieces of the Tyrant Thunderstorm
The sounds of the battle had attracted two female Rex to the site. They were sisters, who were trying to a habitat in which they could live. They lived as nomads, not staying in one place for very long. The two sisters were getting tired of this, and luckily for them, this was about to change.
The older of the two, was Trix. She was forty-one feet long, twelve feet and six inches tall, and weighed eight tons. Her feathers were red and orange, darker in certain areas, and she had grey scales. Her build was large but gracile, typical in female Tyrannosaurus.
The younger, and stronger of the two siblings, was Sue--a Rex with a special destiny. Sue measured forty feet in length, twelve feet tall, and weighed 8.4 tons. Her tail, torso, neck, and legs were covered in brown feathers, although the botom of her neck and her chest had white feathers. The scales on her underbelly and feet were a charcoal-grey in colour, like those of Tyrannas. However, the scales on her face were a light shade of blue, and the tip of her jaws was a dark red.
The two were nieces of the Tyrant Thunderstorm--making them cousins of the Vengeful Rex. However, they have not yet met him, nor his pack, but this would change. They had set their sights on the towering mountain where Tyrannas ruled, and moved out. As a pair of Tyrannosaurus rex, they had no natural predators, as a result of their large size. However, they competed for food with the likes of other megatheropods, such as other members of their species. Now, they smelled a Rex coming--and stepped into a ditch. Sue watched the animal arrive on the scene. This T.rex was bloodied, bruised, and grizzled. His face was scarred, and he favoured his left leg. This animal was not hungry, however, and left the area.
Once the massive Rex disappeared from their sight, Sue and Trix stepped up out of the ditch, and continued their trek. Sue picked up the scent of rotting flesh, and cooed, informing her sister of the smell. They headed in the direction of it, before coming across four carcasses, a family of Albertosaurus. Sue's intelligent brain and large olfactory bulbs told her that they had come from the mountain. She chirped this to Trix, who began to make her way towards the home of Tyrannas.
The two walked side-by-side, scaring off smaller predators like raptors and Spinosaurids. They continued walking for hours, eventually passing through the area which had Corinae. Fang and Venus hissed at the two Rex, who intimidated them with a mere glare. Trix continued forward, with Sue not too far behind.
Eventually, the Tyrannosaurs herd a roar. Sue turned around, to see two familiar Carcharodontosaurus. She remembered watching them fail to kill a Triceratops, and they now stood before her, in the flesh. Mako and Sahara towered over Sue and Trix, but the two Rex did not back down--no, they growled back in defiance. Mako sensed something special about the two, for they reminded him of Thunderstorm. He was there the day Tornado died, knowing that the Lightning Rex had avenged his parents. Neither of the two groups wanted to fight anyway, and went their separate ways.
After nearly a day of non-stop walking, the two sisters finally arrived at the foot of the mountain. However, there was something off about it. The mountain was eerily quiet, for five of its inhabitants were gone--four of them dead, and the last one's whereabouts were unknown. Now, there were only three Tyrannosaurs living here. Not knowing what else to do, Sue and Trix hiked up the slope, eventually coming to the summit. Two skeletons of abnormally large T.rex lay here, and there was nobody in this area--or so they thought, for a roar emanated behind them.
Tyrannas stood before Sue and Trix, and she was not happy as her intelligent brain told her that they were sisters. Trix backed up in fear as the alpha-female snarled, but Sue bellowed back in defiance. She stepped forward, standing before Tyrannas, as the two sized each-other up. Tyrannas was five feet longer, two tons heavier, and four feet taller than her opponent, but would this give the reigning queen the edge? The feathers of both individuals blew back in the wind, before the battle began.
Tyrannas drew the first blood, clamping down on Sue's neck. She roared, before slipping out and ramming the alpha in the chest. However, Tyrannas swung her arms, slashing her claws at Sue's face. The smaller Rex retaliated with a bite to the throat, sending Tyrannas to the ground. However, she was up almost as fast as she fell, before the two Tyrannosaurs locked jaws. Sue swung her head to the side, dislocating her foe's lower jaw.
Tyrannas yelled in pain as she shook her head profusely, before being forced and pinned to the ground. Thoughts raced through her mind, for Sue's scent reminded her, of her mate. She released a chirp, which could be translated as asking who she was. Sue cooed back, saying that she was the niece of the Tyrant Thunderstorm. Tyrannas deduced that this was why she smelled like Tyrannos, and they were now at peace.

Gigannos, Gigannas, and their ten infantry were on their way to the mountain of the Vengeful Rex. The alpha-male Giganotosaurus was happy with finally being able to take his father's place as a major ruling force in Dhahabi'ard. Their journey took them to the streams of Corinae, where they found Venus fishing for food. Fang was elsewhere, protecting their territory. However, he was too far way from Gigannos to see what was happening, as the Giga grabbed Venus by the neck. He snapped her spinal cord, dropping her corpse to the ground. Placing his foot on her side, he roared with sadistic triumph in his eyes. Afterwards, he and his pack moved out, unaware that they were being stalked.
In the forest near the river, two other carnosaurs lurked in the shadows. Mako saw the atrocity Gigannos had committed, finally ready to exact revenge for his parents' death, for Gigannos smelled just like his father, Tornado. He and Sahara moved through the shadows, slowly but surely following the pack.
***
Fang returned to see Venus' lifeless corpse. He screamed in anguish, as he sniffed the carcass - picking up the scent of a Giganotosaurus. Fang vowed to avenge his mate, and the scent of the Giga continued on, toward a towering mountain. He stood up and waddled in the direction of the scent trail.

MemberAllosaurusNov-06-2017 7:22 AMVery good writing Tyrannos. I don't know how I feel about Trinity Peaks being ruled though, considering it was 20,000 feet high. I kind of always envisioned it as a towering wall that loomed over Dhahabi'ard rather than a place where animals could go.
Anyways though, good work so far on the TEEU.
Good grief.
