Hello guys !                                                     As I promised a long time ago, probably after I posted my first topic; I made a topic about this! Also before I start as always I pray you to do not call me bad words or fanboy because I spent entire weeks to find good conclusions.

p.s : I will not  talk about max size, just average.

Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus were both one of the largest theropods to ever walk on the earth, but which one was the biggest? let's take a look...

The largest complete  Tyrannosaurus ever found is a "she", she is called Sue and she was found in Montana in the summer of 1990. Sue is the most famous Tyrannosaurus known and a very large specimen: she stands at 4.2 meters tall (13.1 ft), 12.3-8 meters long ( 41-42 ft in total length ) and even it is completely hard to estimate an accurate weight for a dinosaur, experts estimated her to be 9-10 tons.

The average Giganotosaurus , the holotype one is  the largest ever found, discovered in 1997 for the first time it declassed Tyrannosaurus from being the largest theropod...even this came out to be false. This theropod stands at 40-43 ft long (12.4-12.9 meters in total length), 3.3-4 meters tall (11.5-12 ft) and it's weight is estimated to be 7-8.5 tons .

These two giants were both two large animals , they were both built to take down dangerous preys like triceratops, ankylosaurus and maybe alamosaurus for Tyrannosaurus while Giganotosaurus hunted argentinosaurus. Both theropods were close in weight but they were a bit different in sizes : Sue the T rex was taller( by almost a meter), bigger (in mass so heavier) and larger than the Giganotosaurus holotype, but shorter because the Giganotosaurus has got a longer tail so it was longer by a bit , while Tyrannosaurus has got longer legs.

While if we look at other specimens of both Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus, such as Stan  which is slightly smaller than Sue is height (around 3.25 meters tall and 12 meters long) and the holotype specimen  which is equal in height with Giganotosaurus holotype, but  shorter and a bit heavier.

While other Giganotosaurus specimens were the same size or a bit smaller than the giganotosaurus holotype ( I will make 2 topics about all Tyrannosaurus specimens and all Giganotosaurus specimens).

So in conclusion if someone asks me "who is bigger, Tyrannosaurus or Giganotosaurus?" I will answer "both were big than each other, with Tyrannosaurus being taller and heavier and with Giganotosaurus being longer).

Like and comment below of what you think and feel free to correct me if I am wrong :D

I'd say that Tyrannosaurus rex was bigger.

4 metres is 13.1 feet, not 15.  And 3.5 metres is 11.5 feet, not 12.
