Hi there! As I promised, I did a topic about this! But before I start I pray you to do not judge me because this is just my opinion.

Giganotosaurus was one of the largest theropods to ever walk on the earth,it was discovered on 1997 in argentina for the first time, its name means in fact "giant southern lizard". It's diet was medium to large sauropods like Argentinosaurus and it is supposed to hunt in packs as it's slightly smaller cousin Mapusaurus did.

The length for this giant range from a length of 12 to 13 m (40-48 ft)

The average Giganotosaurus is the holotype one, the largest complete specimen ever found, it reaches 12.4 meters (42 ft) in length and 3.5-9 meters tall (12 ft).

It was thought to be the largest specimen, but a second exemplar estimated to be around 8% larger was found in Argentina. Though not complete, this new specimen is based just on a jaw fragment which is larger than the holotype's one; it's size is estimated to be 4-4.3 meters tall and 13.2 meters long (actually there are many opinions that it could reach 14 meters in length)...now I will show you the skeletal made by the mighty Scott Hartman.

In my own opinion, there is a very big chance that a Giganotosaurus could reach 14 meters on max size, so I mostly agree with the Giganotosaurus paratype evidence, but remember that you can't measure a full size just by a jaw fragment, so most of this could be false as it could be right, do not believe 100% at this.

So it is still unproven that the a Giganotosaurus paratype is larger than the holotype one, it could probably be, we just need to find more bones to prove that.

Comment below of what you think ;) and in your opinion ... how large is this Giganotosaurus ?

At least they aren't overexaggerating like they did with Peck's Rex

~14m is highly unlikely.

I run a forum where we have a good deal of information on Giganotosaurus and others in profiles dedicated to their biology.

Here is our Giganotosaurus profile

I doubt that. MUCPv-CH1 can reach 12.4m MUCPv-95 is only known from a partial dentary around the same size as MUCPv-CH1’s some carnosaurs have different sized dentaries but are around the same size
