Allosaurus

Called "the lion of the jurassic", allosaurus is in fact one of the largest theropods in the jurassic period.
From remains, it lived in north America, Portugal and Africa; on average size it averaged 8.5 m (28 ft) in length and 2 meters in height, though fragmentary remains suggest it could have reached over 12 m (39 ft), there is an evidence that it hunted in large packs to defeat dangerous preys like Stegosaurus or sauropods too like Camarasaurus.

Even it is a large theropod, it wasn't larger than other famous carnivores such as Tyrannosaurus rex, Giganotosaurus carolinii and Carcharodontosaurus , it was both shorter and lighter than them on average size.

But a new specimen was discovered recently in Africa, has showed that allosaurus is bigger than that, it was 12 meters long and 3.3 meters tall, pretty close in size with the largest complete Giganotosaurus carolinii ( 3.5-9 meters tall and 12.4 meters long) and with the largest complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever found ( almost 4 meters tall and 12.3 meters long).

Saurophaganax

Discovered for the first time in Oklahoma (U.S.A.) it is Allosaurus's "larger cousin", this gigantic allosaurid is the largest of it's family,it's estimated to be from 10.5 metres (34 ft) to 13 m (43 ft) in length on average size ( 14 meters for the max size), from 3 to 3.25 meters in height and around 3 tonnes in weight.

It is the closest one near Tyrannosaurus rex's size in this size comparison and it is estimated to be longer than the largest Tyrannosaurus ( Sue) but lighter and not taller (around 3.88 meters ) on the max size , but that's mostly a fanboy's opinion or the result of liberal scaling.

so in conclusion i would say that on average size, saurophaganax is the larger one, in both height length and weight.

p.s: sorry if I have been inactive but I was busy ;(

Saurophaganax is synonymous with Allosaurus according to most authorities. It probably wasn't longer than Tyrannosaurus either, ~11m in total body length. Other estimates are the result of liberal scaling

On max size it is supposed to be but not on average

It's not 'supposed to be' on either size of that spectrum. length figures in excess of 12m are the result of liberal scaling

Oh really? Why then there are images on google that immediately appear that say a saurophaganax can be large as a t rex? Fanboys?

Why would you trust such a rudimentary "source"? the answer is yes. and incorrect information.

I seriously doubt that Saurophaganax is larger than Tyrannosaurus rex. It was probably 40 feet long at most.
