Mapusaurus: A Tribute to One of My Favourite Theropods (Late Earth Day Special)

I missed Earth Day because of vacation, so here is my celebration.

Recently, I posted my top ten favourite dinosaurs, and the top 3 were:

What was the fourth? Mapusaurus rosae. I chose it for the Earth Day special because its name translates to "earth lizard". I feel it doesn't get enough attention compared to other theropods like its cousins Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus. In fact, Mapusaurus didn't become one of my favourite dinosaurs until I read Emperor GorillaGodzilla's dinosaur story The End. The character Earth the Mapusaurus made me fall in love with the genus, so let's talk about him. Earth is a great character. Although he is an animal, he is shown to care for and sacrifice for his packmates, and I like this trait in him. So I'd like to thank Emperor GorillaGodzilla not only for writing an amazing story with amazing characters, but also for increasing my love for a theropod that was overshadowedd by its larger relatives.
